Needed to replace my old Felco pruners after flood. Pleasant surprise to see such a competitive price at Hayneedle plus 10% discount plus bonus points. There are no better pruners on the market. These are able to prune everything from flowers to rose branches & are perfectly shaped to fit your hand; less stress on joints & muscles. They stay sharp for a very long time & respond well to occasional oiling.

Felco make the best secateurs at a good price, and this is no exception. Felco 6 are for smaller hands and my wife has been using a pair for several years. I bought another pair for my son and he was very pleased as he only has a small garden with simple pruning.

Felco secateurs are slightly dearer than many good quality makes but there is a very good reason why they are a very popular choice amongst professionals: they work better than the others.The level of precision available in adjustment is what all such tools should aspire to. There is a proper spares service. The construction is such that should a cutting or adjustment component require replacing, you just replace that component. For some makes, the loss of a nut means scrapping the tool.An amateur, however keen, is unlikely ever to have to replace the secateurs judging from our experience of many years using them and giving them as presents.
Had classic no 2 for many years of heavy duty gardening, and a refurbishment by Felco, mainly by hubby. Lost my slightly smaller, inherited, cheap pair in the undergrowth (they were green!) so treated myself to this slightly smaller pair - brilliant! Much more control and comfort for my medium sized hands and razor sharp, as always and just as strong. Very happy.
Ok. These are some truly awesome pruners. Sliced through rose branches with ease. It also slices through women's fingers with ease too. So, last night if you saw a bloody woman running from her garden to her house, with her arm raised like a deranged student who really wants to give the teacher the answer, it was me. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my job for its excellent medical insurance.
I never purchased pruners specifically for small hands before. I just dealt with the normal sized ones you buy at any box store. Been doing alot of pruning this season and paid for it dearly. I found these and decided to make the splurge after reading finger pain is caused by using pruners that are too large for your hand. OMG what a difference. They fit nicely in my hand and so far no pain and have used for several hours.

Swiss made and as you would expect, the quality of these secateurs can be seen immediately. Well made, comfortable to use and robust. Simply excellent.
Only just got these secateurs and I really like them. Very sharp and fairly light but good quality. I don't know yet how well they will wear and last but my neighbour has had a similar pair of Felcos for years and they are still in very good shape. I am tired of cheap and mid range secateurs that do the job well for a very short time. I would not say they are for small hands but they fit an average woman's hand well.
