My old GE/Fisher&Paykel dryer was 38 years old and could not hang off the wall in my new laundry - a shame to see it go. Of course I couldn't go past a new Fisher & Paykel. Simple to install and hang on the wall; easy to understand and thorough instruction book. Obviously more features than my old dryer which makes drying more specific for fabrics and load type which is great. Really easy to clean the lint filter too. All in all a happy decision which I hope to enjoy for a long time.

I've had this item a couple of months now. Didn't start too well as broke on 2nd use. It was a common problem with wrong part put in on manufacture apparently. F&P came to fix reaonably promptly. Don't understand why these aren't repaired before being sold to unaware public as it's a time consuming exercise. Dryer works well now. It's easy to use, not too noisy and i like everything apart from one design floor. I empty the lint trap every use, it's easy to do, but the trap is too big, so if you are like me and use your dryer primarily to dry little kids clothes and underwear, you will find them getting trapped with all the fluffy lint. Fortunately it's usually only one sock at a time, but that's enough to annoy me greatly, as that one sock takes a lot of cleaning ... MoreI've had this item a couple of months now. Don't think socks in the lint trap will be good for efficiency either. Think twice about this product if you're a frequent washer of little kids undies.

My last Fisher and Paykel dryer lasted 16 years so I replaced it with another one when it finally gave up. The new one is terrible. The auto settings don't work - even a small load comes out damp. The only way I can guarantee a load will be dry is to set it on the manual timer. Even this is annoying, because you can't set it for 1.5 hours which would be just about right. You can only set it for 30mins, 1hr, 2hr. I don't recommend this dryer.

Doesn't always work properly. The drying sensor and door open sensor are very temperamental. Many times I put it on to dry & I find out after a few minutes it has stopped and turned itself off. Hey it just happens now as I'm writing this review I only put it on the few minutes ago wet sheets. Not overloaded not under loaded & correct setting. So it's a really a heap of (fill in the word). Love to be able to easily take it back to a shop but with this online service appliances I'm overwhelmed by what to do next.
I am very please with my new F&P dryer. My last one died after about 15 years and I really would have loved to have gotten the same model again. This model was the closest. Having read some bad reviews, I did research and look around at other brands. I came back to the F&P as was concerned about the child locks on the others making the doors prone to breakage, and the cheaper price. I am now so pleased I made this choice. The timer function is upside down when wall mounted, however that's not a problem as I use the auto sensor anyway. The wall installation provided was professional, friendly and efficient - I have never used this before but would not hesitate to use it again for any future purchases.
Excellent dryer Capacity is good I can fit several towels face coths hand towels bathmats. Good for 'fluffing' tgem up after line drying.
1st problem was that the door of the dryer was having a defect. F&P services checked and replaced it. I was happy but it didn't last long. Tried using dryer in both "Auto" and "Manual" mode. There is no hot air, and clothes remain damp and do not dry at all. Again contacted F&P and they will send a technician. This seems to be a dryer with manufacturing defect. It is very irritating and troublesome as I have not been able to get the service of a brand new dryer even after 1 month of purchase. Hoping that once this problem is resolved, I don't find any new defect in it.
I love my new dryer. Use it several times a week and clothes are always dry. Lint filter is awesome and catches everything so no fluff lingers around the house. Very easy functions and not too noisy at all. This is my second purchase from Appliances online and I am just as pleased as I was in the past. Super quick delivery and their service team were incredibly helpful. Delivery guys were polite and even offered info as to how item should be installed. They took all the packaging away with them too! Will definitely buy again!
A load with five pairs of thick cotton trousers dries in less than an hour, with very little condensation in my laundry. I chose the base model because it had the most reviews and the 5 kg size, even though I live alone, to give some flexibility with queen size flannelette sheets. The reverse tumbling feature works well and my washing is not tangled. I find the sensor dry is set at the right level with no need for adjustment, although I am careful to load items of a similar weight. The lint filter is easy to access though a bit of fine fluff does escape underneath it, not enough to be a real problem but enough for obsessional types like me to vacuum it out every so often. I haven't had a power bill since I bought it, and the Melbourne weather is warming up a bit so ... MoreA load with five pairs of thick cotton trousers dries in less than an hour, with very little condensation in my laundry. I haven't had a power bill since I bought it, and the Melbourne weather is warming up a bit so the real test will be winter. However I find I am washing less often as I don't need to watch the weather, so what power I use on dryer use may be offset by washing fewer loads.
My old Fisher and Paykel dryer was a beauty, quiet, efficient and low on power consumption. This one is none of those. It is very noisy, doesn't always dry clothes completely, and has a low star rating for energy.I wish I had had the extra couple of hundred dollars on the day, and I would have gotten the next model up, which I reckon is more akin to the quality and performance of the old one. After 18 years, this is the first F&P product I consider a lemon... or maybe just so basic it undermines the brand. Price point was on low side admittedly, but still wish it was up to the standard I've expected and enjoyed over the years with fridges, dryers etc..
