You can see from the photo that I’ve used this cleanser quite a bit before writing my review. This is a great, simple cleansing product for someone with sensitive/reactive skin. I was dealing with a damaged moisture barrier and switched to this gentle cleanser as my morning cleanse (only my night cleanse if I was only wearing spf in the day) and it has helped my skin feel soothed and moisturized. I really wanted and even still want to love this cleanser, in trying to excuse the effects of it for any other outside factors, but I sadly feel like it’s time for a return considering this doesn’t contain any active ingredients that should illicit a skin “purge” and it comes down to something in this breaking me out. I do highly recommend you at least try this in a smaller size if you have dry or dehydrated skin though, because I still hear that it works wonderfully for others. I also recommend you at least spot test it beforehand if you have sensitive skin, to see if there’s any reaction before continuous use on your face, in case it ends up working out for you!

Now I'm not very old, I'm still in my teen years but I have been battling acne since the second grade. I have tried so many different facewashes, serums, moisturizers. I've tried pimple patches and such things. Only 3 cleansers have ever worked for and one was also an exfoliate. I bought this after reading reviews and searching the product line. I decided since my face is so dry and peeling from using Tretinoin and benzyl peroxide for my Rosacea, that it would be good. Well, it was awesome with the exception that I had a horrible film left in my eyes the next morning. You need very little; rub it into your palms & add water to create a soft-fluffy foaming action & apply to your face. I was most interested in how it would clean my eye makeup so I could use it in place of the Aveeno (discontinued) Ultra Calming Foaming Cleanser (it was the only stuff that cleaned my eye-makeup w/out irritation). It works very similar to the Clarins foaming face wash. When you rinse it away, it has a squeaky clean feeling. I got this cleanser a few days ago because I had been having a really bad allergic reaction to the Cetaphil cleanser. The first 2 nights, my skin seemed to love this but I woke up on day 3 with flaky skin around my nose and mouth. I didn't think it was a big deal because sometimes my skin will flake when using a new product but over the next 2 days, my flaking got worse. Last night while I was taking a shower, I used this and I got the most horrible burning sensation on my face. I have combination skin—with a really, really oily T-zone area, so I have to double cleanse. This is gentle enough to not completely dry my face out and strip it of its protective layers, and my face is always completely clean after. It’s helped clear my face faster than most soaps that I’ve used, so that’s great. However, whenever I wear makeup, it harshly burns my face and that’s after I’ve used a makeup remover and oil cleanse bar (the same bar that I always use to double cleanse my face with). I don’t know if it’s the excessive cleaning or if it’s a bad reaction with something, but it’s weird because other soaps have worked just fine without burning me.
