A great nutritional boost! Who thought I would have loved hemp seeds so much! This product is wonderful! They are so versatile, you can use them in baking (cookies/muesli), breakfasts (sprinkled on toast, in cereal), as a salad topper or even just sprinkled on top of a bowl of yoghurt or some cut up fruit. I love the nutty, wholesome flavour of the seeds and they are not chewy or crunchy or difficult to eat. They also don't get stuck in your teeth which I think is a big bonus! I found this bag lasted me a while as with each serving you don't need much of it. Hemp seeds are an excellent nutritional source, containing many minerals and vitamins which are good for the body, such as vitamin E and magnesium. A healthy addition to breakfast. This was easy to find in the Macro section with all the other nuts, seeds and similar products. I wasn't at all sure what to do with this but some research shows it is a great source of protein and healthy fats, and is anti-inflammatory. It can be sprinkled on cereal, baked into cakes etc, added to rissoles and other dishes - so many ways to use it. We first added it to our morning porridge which gave it a slightly grainy texture, so next tried it in muesli which was much more successful. The taste on its own is slightly nutty, but really we couldn't taste it once mixed in the muesli. It is also gut-friendly being low FODMAP, which I was very pleased about. Trying different foods can be dicey when you have gut issues, but this one ... MoreA healthy addition to breakfast. I have been using Linseed but Hemp seeds can replace that. This is a product of Australia which is excellent but unfortunately the bag has to go in the bin. I will consider using this in future once this bag is finished.

Apprehension about this product. As with any sample I receive I first check if it contains FODMAP'S, all good, I claimed the product then checked online for ideas on how to use it. Mt h would not try it. One if the things I read that some ppl can have a reaction to the seeds if anyone was going to have an allergic reaction it would be me. So after having the hemp seeds sitting in the pantry for a few weeks I decided that I would try them. When opening the packet the seeds had a strong smell that wasn't particularly pleasant but overlooking that I added some to my breakfast smoothie, it had a slight nutty flavour but didn't spoil the taste of the smoothie and better still it didn't cause any problems with any allergic reactions. It will take a long time to use this ... MoreApprehension about this product. I got so rich selling hemp seeds... It became my little hempire... waaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, classic, but on to the more serious topicsFirst impressions - These are expensive, I have no metric on hemp seeds but $8 seems like a fair bit. They seem to stretch out significantly though, as in I don't eat many at a time. Next impressions - Ah yes, my regular readers will know that this is my favourite product, the type that it states on the front. No marketing, just one ingredient Final impressions - Wowser, I've been reading about the nutritional profile of these, they sound fantastic. I think hemp has existed in this weird space, being associated with cannabis and all. But this is TGA approved to contain no psychoactive ingredients. I've started mixing ... I've started mixing this with my regular flax seed and mixed nuts combo, tastes great. Highly recommended
Healthy versatile product. So happy to receive these as a sample as they’re a staple in my pantry. These seeds are 100% natural and a great source of protein and omega 3. Product of Australia with a fantastic five star health rating. They contain no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and are gluten free, also suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Resealable plastic bag, although I always transfer mine to glass jars. I use these daily in my smoothies, and also add them to cereals, use them in baking cakes and muffins and for crumbing chicken and fish they are also wonderful sprinkled on salads with just a slight nutty taste. Retailing for $8, these will definitely continue to be at home in my pantry. Thank you bunch for the wonderful sample.
Okay, but expensive! I knew exactly where to find this product in the health food section along with all the Macro products, as I swear Woolworths are watching me do my shop? I was shopping the other day in this isle, and I brought some chia seeds, some quinoa, and I picked the hemp seeds up but when I saw how much they were $8. 00 for 200gm I quickly put them back. ‘Well somebody loves me upstairs! Haha I was going to bake something, but then that would mean that I would just eat it all, so I am trying to be strict, strong and good! This comes in a resealable bag, but I like to keep it in an airtight container. I had some on my super healthy oats, that already has, lots of seeds and grains in it, as well as some blueberries and cinnamon. Then for lunch I added some ... MoreOkay, but expensive! There isn’t really any taste to this, but I think for peace of mind and we want to believe that it is healthy and good for us so I will keep adding it to everything. ‘This serves 6 people at 30g per person! ✅ This is a product of Australia ✅This is a source of omega 3, ✅ so definitely good for you dietary wise. This has a 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️HSR! ✅BBD 23/05/2024. Bag return to the store. ✅Suitable for all vegans and vegetarians. ✅My only negative ❌ is that I think it is a little too expensive. ‘Thank you Bunch for giving me this wonderful opportunity to try this product. ‘Thank you to all my fellow Bunchee’s for taking a look at my review.
Nutritional powerhouse. I have used these before in and on a number of dishes. They're a great source of protein, a point to consider for vegans and vegetarians. They're also gluten free and high in fibre, so a product that is suitable for so many people!I sprinkled some on top of my spaghetti bake for extra crunch, but have also used them in salads, stirred through my yoghurt, and I believe you can also make a plant based milk from them! I will be adding them to my next loaf of homemade bread too. They cost 8 dollars for a 200g packet, but they go a long way!The seeds are small and softish, and the taste straight from the packet is somewhat similar to sunflower seeds. So you probably wouldn't buy them for a snack as is, but they have a multitude of uses to boost ... MoreNutritional powerhouse. I have used these before in and on a number of dishes. Healthy Hemp. I regularly purchase organic hemp seeds but have never bought conventional. I remember buying hemp seeds at the organic shops back in the day and were illegal to sell as human consumption and there was a sign up for animal use only Hemp seeds are extremely nutritious, packed with essential vitamins, minerals and contain healthy fats and I store them in the fridge. I used my sample in a nut and seed mix that I soak overnight. I have a mix of hemp seeds, cashew pieces, chia seeds, oat bran, sunflower seeds, ground linseeds, black and white sesame seeds and cocoa nibs put into a jar and soaked in a little water which I have with my overnight soaked oats in porridge. I also used them in a ranch dressing made from white beans. Macro hemp seeds are extremely ... MoreHealthy Hemp. I regularly purchase organic hemp seeds but have never bought conventional. I appreciate the sample but wouldn't purchase the Macro hemp seeds as I don't know if these are sprayed with synthetic pesticides. I prefer organic.
Yep.... a nutrient powerhouse. .... A Big FanThis product can be found in the Health Food Isle in a cream & brown pack, easily identifiable. Great resealable pack and it sprinkles very well. Product of Australia, that is grown in Australia and wondering if packed in N Z ?A very long storage time, my pack was 31/03/2025 but it won't last that long. Hemp has a nutty flavour so hence my propensity to gravitate towards it, as I love any sort of nuts. Storage instructions say `Store in a cool dark place. Once opened, store in an airtight container. Great natural way to add protein to my breakfast. For breakfast I normally make overnight oats, with some chia, berries, soy milk and protein powder (and top with banana and cinnamon in the morning). Last night rather than using a full serving of protein powder, I replaced some with hemp seeds and was really happy with the result! They didn't affect the flavour at all (on their own they have a mild nutty flavour, but after soaking overnight, and with the berries, I couldn't notice any change in flavour at all), and didn't really affect the consistency either. My partner (who hated the taste of them raw) also didn't notice them in the breakfast either, so a win for him too! They're about 1/3 protein, and unlike protein powder, are minimally processed (from what I've ... My partner (who hated the taste of them raw) also didn't notice them in the breakfast either, so a win for him too! They're about 1/3 protein, and unlike protein powder, are minimally processed (from what I've read the outer shell of the seed is removed, then they're just diced up) so much more "whole" and natural. As I'm trying to cut out as much processed food as possible, these are a really great way to add more protein. To get the same amount of protein as the protein powder I'd need to use half an $8 bag of the hemp seeds - this compares to $1. 10 for the protein powder. Because of this I won't replace all of the protein powder with the hemp seeds, but going forwards I'd consider replacing about a third of the protein powder with these (~$1 per breakfast). If these could be a little cheaper I'd definitely think about completely replacing the protein powder entirely (happy to pay a premium for something so much less processed) - $5 - $6 per bag would be cheap enough for me to do it. Packaging wise - I've always liked the Macro branding (and silky matte plastic packaging), and I prefer the brown circle and labelling on this packet to the green on other Macro products.
