So happy with the color, it’s exactly what I hoped for, but not completely accurate to the website photos so beware. The Surplus color is like a rich olive - darker and warmer than the photos, with more of a brown flash than blue. The vintage white looks silver in the photos but in real life it leans more bronze/greenish-gray. I’m very happy with these “differences” since it matches my style perfectly, but want others to know before buying.Love quality and weight as well.

This watch is horrible I spent almost $300 and bought it in gold from Zumiez and within 6 months the whole band turned silver that gold coating completely rubbed off and I work in finance so its definitely not because of excessive wear & tear! Just wanted to give someone a heads up before you got upset and spent $300 of your hard earned money on a watch that will fade into a Walmart looking watch within a few months. Super upset about it and to get a replacement gold band its $80. Just don't do it I reached out to Nixon about it and obviously I don't have my receipt from 6 months ago, and feel like I got told to kick rocks.

I recently purchased The Sentry and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed. The quality is exceptional, especially considering its price point. It looks exactly or better than how it is portrayed on the website, which is a rare find in online purchases. The price is completely justified by the product's build and appearance. Super easy to adjust the band yourself (with tools) also setting time and date was super simple and straight forward instructions were on the watch itself. I got this piece to accentuate an outfit I did with light tan and red to add a touch of gold and it looked perfect with the outfit and I can already see other possibilities. I also dropped it by accident when I first took it out of the box but it didnt seem to do any visible or mechanical damage. I will surely by more pieces from Nixon in the near future.
My husband loves this watch! Amazing quality and great look. The original size of the wrist band was slightly smaller than I anticipated for him, but we were provided extra links with the order which made that an easy fix. The engraving on the back was perfect. Will definitely buy more in the future!
Wow!! Beautiful watch! I got the customized silver one with the blue face for my husband and he loves it! He received a lot of compliments. This is our 7th Nixon watch and we continue to buy one or two every year especially as a Christmas present. Thank you, Nixon for your amazing customer service through message if we have any questions and concerns. Worth every penny for its wonderful craft and classy style.
Very difficult to set the date and detailed instructions to do so or troubleshoot were not included with the watch. There is a sticker on the back that tells you to turn it but it wouldn’t turn and change the date. For the price, I expected ease. My date is still inaccurate and at this point I’m guessing it’s just broken. Wish this feature wasn’t added to the watch if they weren’t able to perfect it.
Absolutely a looker! It’s got great weight to it - not flimsy like so many other brands today. Brilliant face color that catches a lot of compliments. Minimal design with all the right details. Love that you can see the day and date - so cool. You can even set it to Spanish I believe!Don’t sleep on getting a custom inscription on the back to make it even more special. The Sentry Stainless Steel vintage white is overall a great watch so far. The watch has a nice, light weight to it, but feels very high quality.Pros: love the over sized face- it’s not too oversized, just right for my tastes. The face has a slight lip to it- where it actually extends past the crystal- which is great I’ve noticed for protection. The minute markers stand out nicely and are easy to read. HOWEVER- I really like the color and it goes well with pretty much everything. The band is also lighter in the photos- it’s more of a dark bronze band. I was also not prepped for this and thought about returning, but it warmed up to me after wearing it. What I do like about the band is that it has this iridescent kind of vibe going on - in certain lights, especially in sunlight it has different hues of greens and blues- it looks really cool. I think you can kind of see that in the photos a bit, or at least a representation of that, looks better in person. Finally- the minute and hour hands- I WISH were darker, they are a chrome color which isn’t enough contrast to the watch and so in darker lighting makes it hard to see the hands.Overall- IF you have a better description of the watch as a vintage (bc it does emit vintage vibes) bronze watch- I don’t think you’ll be disappointed at all. This is my third Nixon and I’ve really dug them all, this included- just set your expectations right.
