As a replacement for an older model of Philips bodygroom that dies due to dead battery.I purchased this one and after 6 months this one has died too, wont charge and no light comes on.When it was working I found the blade heads were just too pointy compared to the previous models.Why does philips wnat me to disable Adblocker to post this review and why do they need to know my gender, how many people live in my household and my age in order to provide my review.Go away philips and work on your products they are junk.I have 6 sonicare toothbrushes and they all dont work, 4 Philips hairtrimmers and all dont work now.I'll give Braun an opportunity in future.

I bought this as an upgrade from an identical Philips body groomer which would no longer hold charge. I didn’t expect it to be much different but I have been pleasantly surprised. Of course it is heavier, being dual purpose but, it is well balanced, cuts well without snagging and the battery life is much improved. I haven’t used the hair trimmer yet, but it looks well put together and should work as effectively as the groomer.

I have never been so stress free with the manscaping. The machine shaves so efficiently all along the corners and edges. Don't get me wrong here, haha. Also, this one being waterproof, it's so easy to clean and shave in the shower. Must say this one even though a bit expensive, the advantages outweigh the cost by miles. I highly recommend anyone who wants the best body grooming experience and also a stress free one without even a single cut or nick.

The unit itself is great and does exactly what it says it will do, the safety mesh has saved me from many nicks and gets the hair really close to the skin!It is quite heavy to what I expected but its functionality outweighs this negative. The water proof design makes cleaning the unit soooo easyThe only negative point I found was that it was shipped from Europe with a European plug which does not fit the Australian electrical system - I would suggest that better information on the unit at point of sale to indicate the type of plug would have been useful, it would not have changed my mind but it would have been nice to know up front.
I owned the first bodygroom that is notorious for battery issues. I mean, I say that, but it lasted about 5 years so can't really fault it. This new one lacks the fancy dock for charging and now requires plugging in... but I think I prefer that as I unplug it when it's done and it won't overcharge (which presumably killed the old one's battery).Feels a bit lighter/cheaper in the hand than the old one but works nearly identically as far as I can tell. I only use the shaving end as the grooming end is really weak compared to my hair/beard trimmer. Worth the price as these aren't expensive.

Some reviewers said that it doesn’t do well with beards, well it is not made for that. Others said go for the 5000 model, in my personal opinion if you have the money go with the 7000 because the body head takes longer time when the hair is long and this is when the other head comes very handy. Cut the long hair with the trimmer side then go closer with the body side and you won’t be disappointed. I have the older model of this bodygroomer...And decided to buy this model because the battery life on my older model was not lasting too long..This new model:1, I did not have to worry about the battery time..2, it gives a cleaner shave without any cuts on delicate parts of your body..The difference between these 2 models1, the older model adjustment comb let you go down to number 1, which the newer model only goes down to 3..2, the older model on the charge side of it had a stand which you just placed the bodygoomer in which was great... BUT the newer model you have to push the cable into the bodygoomer...
I'd had this product for around 9 months before having to bin it. I enjoyed the product and it worked exactly how I expected it to, I never really had an issue with it but overtime the battery began lasting less and less time before needing a charge. Around Christmas it just completely stopped charging. I just wish it lasted for a bit longer considering the price point.
This unit costs more than$180 but less than$200 Aus, when i first received it i was excited, then i opened the box in the box was the groomer BG7025, charge cord and a soft carry pouch. I was a bit disappointed because it didn't come with a stand and for the price you are paying it should have come with a hard case.
