I'll give it four stars because it's one of the better pens that can be easily found, but I don't enjoy writing with it very much. The pen doesn't dry quickly and smudges when highlighting words. It doesn't bleed through paper (tested on Kokuyo Campus paper), but it does shadow quite a bit. It's sort of scratchy, but not an unbearable amount. Contradictive to it being slightly scratchy, there's a lot of ink that dispenses. The ink is a vivid black, at least. The grip is comfortable but not my favorite; it's quite high on the pen. The pen feels a bit cheap, despite the price being considerably high. It also makes a rattling noise while writing with it, and the clicker is loud. Overall, a fine pen. I wouldn't recommend it, but I'll use it up.

I use these pens for work and since about 2005 they have been my go-to pen. The clip on the pens are just perfect enough to clip onto my polo shirt by the buttons. Or if wearing dress slacks, I can slide one of these into my back pocket. Having multiple colors makes it easier when correcting or checking my colleague's work. As a bonus, the package that they come in doubles as a storage case. You can keep the pens in the package and open/close it as needed.

I have been using these Gel Pens for years. It is by far the best pen for the money. Very dependable. Ink is always ready to write. This pen will write until it is out of ink, unlike the cheaper pens that sometimes "don't work", even though they have ink in them. I keep a steady supply of these around for when the pen finally runs out of ink, I don't have to use a cheaper pen until I can get the G-2 Pen replaced. Highly recommended.

I admit, I'm a pen snob. My pens must be blue, they must be retractable, and most of all, smooth as silk. These pens write so smoothly, without applying much pressure at all, and have them best blue color. I actually hide these from my family. I share everything else with the husband and kids, except these G2s. Don't touch Mama's pens.
I have decided that collecting G-2 pens from Pilot would be a great thing to do. Well....until one by one they've disappeared. I've noticed this happening since school went back after summer vacation. I have a funny feeling that it's my daughter taking them and losing them. I tried to tell her that the Bold tipped pens are harder to find and are more expensive most of the time. I won't buy other brands of pens because none of them seem to come close in comparison to these G-2. I love them.
A while back, I had purchased similar looking pens made by Bic called the Gelocity, solely because they were on sale. Mistake. At first I thought they were good, but they very soon acted like they were dried up, even though you could see plenty of ink still in the cartridge. Thus, I went back to these Pilot G2 pens, as I've always had good luck with them. The ink lasts a reasonable amount of time, and one can buy refill cartridges for these pens. This pen has always written smoothly for me, unlike those Bic pens.I actually prefer t he Pilot Precise V5 Rollerball pens, but they did not have those in stock when I shopped.
I have really enjoyed G2 pens for years. This raised it to a new level. Two factors were involved. " I believe in local shopping but the local grocerues and phaarmacies have them only in Fine Line and all of a sudden they were no longer being restocked in those stores. I like Staples for supplies so I checked there and they have pens with BOLD tips in quantity. My eyesight has been getting word=se and I can barely read what I have written with ANY fine-line pen. I do a lot of writing and use up a pen about every three weeks. I ordered three 5-packs so I woukls have enough if there was a future supply problem. I figured a bold line would take more ink and the pens were the same size. In the last three weeksm I have used TWO G2 pens dryMy original buy should last ... MoreI have really enjoyed G2 pens for years. This raised it to a new level. Two factors were involved. I can read my notes again That is important to me. Bravo to G2 and Staples.
I’m a loyalist to products that work. As an illustrator, my trust in the G2 .05 the is best part of most of my 25 year career. Then I saw this awesome creation. The fine line that this new ultra super duper extra thin beauty puts forth is stunning. Smooth and elegant with no bleeding whatsoever. I didn’t believe that the best could be made better. I love technology! I say Yes to anyone who wants the best, and surprisingly inexpensive, fine line writing instrument that you can get. From crosshatching to pointillism, I have left the .05 behind, we are still friends. But I’m hanging out with its cooler little, .038, sibling.
I somehow found a G2 Pilot pen or it found me and it became my favorite pen. It wrote so smoothly and never skipped. I am very particular about my pens! I decided I would actually buy this pen so I went to a few stores looking for the exact Pilot G2 Medium Pen. No luck. I kept searching until I found some at an office supply but they had extra fine, fine and bold, no medium. I took a chance on bold. After reading the packaging it looks like bold has replaced medium and I am very happy with these pens. Please don’t change anything!
These Pilot gel pens are the very best. They write beautifully without blotching or skipping. If you're like me and actually enjoy the act of writing in your journal or notebook you will absolutely love this pen. I have several colors and love them all. They're clear, bright and write for a very long time. I love to write important words in red, then my thoughts in blue. I hope they keep making these pens for a long time!
