My must have, my go to, and always in stock at my house in a variety of colors! The colors are amazing. Vivid and bold. The color last pretty long and is pretty true to color. Best results on blonde, light colored hair or bleached hair. Make sure if you are doing it yourself that you cover your skin with conditioner or Vaseline to keep from staining your skin. As far as teals go - get “green” it’s a true teal in my opinion. I’ve had almost every color so if you have questions please reach out. Color is amazing, doesn’t smell, long lasting, bright colors, great price for the quality of color and longevity. Pravana girl right here ❤️

Pigmentation. They however are the most expensive vivids in the hair industry and offer little solution on keeping them in longer. In this photo, I have Wild Orchard Pravana Chromesilk vivids applied. This color is apart of the red dye, smallest hair molecule, so washing even once, you’ll see a lot of color run through.

So I'm going to start by saying that this hair dye is my go-to vivid dyes, they are amazing, all except for the pink. DON'T BUY THE PINK. Seriously, I have no idea why they are all amazing and that one color is such a dud but whatever. I've been doing vivids for over six years now and I have always used Pravana. I was absolutely bummed when they discontinued the Locked-In line because when you are doing multiple colors they can bleed together and the Locked-In prevented that and it was amazing. I really wish Pravana would bring it back because I know I'm not the only one who appreciated it. At first, I was really confused by this product. I thought it was just your basic direct dye like the rest of Pravana’s other colors when I bought it. Imagine my surprise when I slathered it on my bangs and rinsed it out thirty minutes later only to find them a darker shade of green rather than black like I wanted. That’s when I finally paid attention to what the box actually said and saw “additive” printed under the color on the end of the box. After I did some reading, I discovered you’re actually supposed to use this to darken other colors, not use it as a direct dye by itself. Oops. Now that I know that, I’ve used it since then to darken up the Pravana Neon Green I normally use. Now that I know that, I’ve used it since then to darken up the Pravana Neon Green I normally use. It works like a charm getting the darker neon shade I want without diluting the UV reactivity of the neon dye. The only reason I’m knocking off two stars is due to the packaging not being exactly clear on what this product is for. I had to find this out online. While I joke that I just wasn’t paying attention, I actually did read the instructions and there’s no mention of this that I saw on the instructions printed on the inside of the box. All it has is the word “additive” in small, barely noticeable print under the color name. It’s easy to miss unless you throughly examine every facet of the box. If it stated that in the same size text as the color name, I think that would be very helpful and make the intention of the product way more clear.

I've been dyeing my hair probably longer than you've been alive. Hehe. That said, I've tried literally everything, and I can tell you that I always go back to Pravana for bright, semi-permanent color. It lasts a loooong time, can stain almost everything, but again, it lasts a long time and the colors are true to the tube. Keep the color wheel handy because it all depends on how you mix the color with your existing hair color and if it's pre-lightened, which is recommended. I'm usually in the blue ranges when it comes to hair color but will occasionally get out of my comfort zone and do a green or a purple like this one. To get around some of the staining, I make a custom color conditioner with 2/3rds conditioner to 1/3 of Pravana. This will help the color last even longer even between the time I need to re-bleach my roots. I've got an esthetician license and I get mine that way, but I've seen it on Amazon. Read all the reviews though and use the Fakespot browser extension to check review legitimacy. I've read that they might be selling fake product, so buyer beware.

I personally did NOT like this at all. My hair was already pre lightened to a very very light blonde I would say a number 8/9 and this didn’t take at all. It could be that my hair was a little damaged from bleaching but literally did nothing for me. Hopefully other people have better results than I did. It was also on clearance at cosmo prof. It was always in stock when I went there too so definitely wasn’t selling a lot. That’s just my opinion tho. If anyone had different results I would love to know because never know maybe I’ll give it another try. Maybe there’s a trick to it lol.

My client was absolutely thrilled with the use of both Pravana Vivid green for the bottom section and the Wild orchid being the top. I foiled out 6 foils for the bottom also so the Wild orchid would blend from the top to bottom vivid green inbetween. Her hair was extremely thick and just below shoulder length, as she walked out she had the biggest smile and was full of confidence... it made my day too...The lighter the hair the better the outcome.

I have used three different colors from the Pravana Chromasilk vivids line and they are solidified as my number one favorite hair color. Period. This is the brightest, longest lasting hair color brand I have tried, and it is the only hair color brand I will ever use again. I have used silver, purple, and blue, and all of them are awesome. Although you can put it directly on your hair out of the tube, it's unnecessary and a complete waste in my opinion. I have fairly long hair, about midway down my back, and I have never needed more than half a tube to get full coverage. Although you can put it directly on your hair out of the tube, it's unnecessary and a complete waste in my opinion. I have fairly long hair, about midway down my back, and I have never needed more than half a tube to get full coverage. I mix the dye with a whole bottle of conditioner and my hair comes out SUPER vibrant each time (I always use it over white blonde hair, like in the first picture). The product does not smell, applies easily, and lasts FOREVER in comparison to other hair colors. I think each color is great, but I've included pictures of each one after a fresh dye job so you can decide if the color is what you want. Silver: Some people say that the silver is too purple tinted, but I can't comment on that only because the times I've used silver I mix it with the purple to get a steely lavender color, so I'm not sure how it would work on it's own if you were going for full silver. The silver fades well, just getting closer and closer to the white blonde underneath over time. The picture in the hat is a silver/purple mix about two-three weeks after dying it. Purple: The purple is BRIGHT. I originally used a quarter of a bottle of dye mixed with a bottle of conditioner in an attempt to get a pastel purple color and it turned out so vibrantly purple it didn't look like I diluted it at all! It was still a beautiful color, but just be aware that this color is potent. If you are looking for something more pastel you will have to dilute it A LOT. Another wonderful aspect of this color is that it fades VERY gracefully. It fades to a very beautiful pastel color and continues to look good until your hair grows out, so I got my lavender hair after a few weeks of washing it with non color protecting shampoo. When I use this dye for bright purple, it can last about 3 months without looking terrible. Blue: I just recently switched to blue from purple and I am in love. I applied it directly over my faded purple (I touched up my roots with bleach to get them to white blonde) and it covered it wonderfully. Again, I only used half a bottle of dye mixed with an entire bottle of conditioner and it turned out wonderfully bright! I haven't allowed the blue to fade much, so I am not sure how it holds up in comparison to the purple and silver in terms of "fading gracefully." If you want vibrant colors that last forever, use pravana. I would also highly recommend them for pastels if you dilute the concentrated dye enough because then one bottle goes even further!

Love, Love, LOVE Pravana hair dye, amazing pigment and long lasting colour.Especially when applied to dry hair.Looks best when used on a high level of pre lightened hair but can be applied to a low level with great results also and covers fade out from previous colours pretty well too. This colour is hands down my favourite and my go to. I’ve purchased it at least 5 times!

This dye is a great option if you want bold colors and the price on Home Essentials Direct is excellent. Here are a few good things to know if you purchase this (some of which I learned the hard way!) 1. This listing is for the color only, so you'll need a few additional materials like a bleach kit (I used the Jerome Russell Punky Bleach Kit 30 Volume kit and got great results). It comes with gloves, a brush, and a shower cap but the quality isn't great. Unlike coloring your hair a shade that's fairly close to your natural color, if you mess up with vivid colors, it will be very obvious, so it's worth investing in a good set of tint brushes for this project. 2) I'd advise buying a small box of latex gloves because you'll need several pairs (at least one pair for the ... MoreThis dye is a great option if you want bold colors and the price on Home Essentials Direct is excellent. Unlike coloring your hair a shade that's fairly close to your natural color, if you mess up with vivid colors, it will be very obvious, so it's worth investing in a good set of tint brushes for this project. 2) I'd advise buying a small box of latex gloves because you'll need several pairs (at least one pair for the bleach, one for the dye, and one to put on while you're in the shower washing out the dye). Others have mentioned this dye stains anything it touches and just rinsing it out will stain your hands and fingernails unless you're wearing gloves in the shower! When you're rinsing out your hair, stand facing away from the nozzle and don't let the water run down your face. The streams of purple water can stain your skin. Dish soap and alcohol swabs are great for removing dye from skin, but my nails are still fairly purple! 3) Get a really good quality conditioner to seal the color. I used Ion Color Brilliance After Color Treatment (3oz, from Home Essentials Direct) and it felt great. Regular conditioner is fine, but this goes a step further. It's like the super powered conditioner that comes with boxed dye kits but you get quite a bit of it. Leave it in for 5 minutes and use that time to clean the dye from your tub! I used Kaboom with Oxiclean and it worked great. 4) Invest in some sulphate free shampoo and conditioner to keep your color going strong. OGX shampoos are all sulphate free and well priced on Home Essentials Direct (I like the Coconut Milk because it has a lot of conditioning power!) 5) The color you'll get depends a lot on how much you bleach your hair first. I used the Violet shade and found this product listing (http://www.Home Essentials Direct.com/gp/product/B00AOUCN1K) more accurate than this one (http://www.Home Essentials Direct.com/gp/product/B001K6CPYC) even though they are the same product.
