Total setup time from opening the box to installing software updates was about 20 minutes total, including switching out prior TV from the brackets.Setup was fast and simple once we powered on the TV. You can choose whether to complete it using the included remote control or the Samsung SmartThings app. If you have other devices and would like to connect them to the TV, there are several HMDI ports to plug them into. I was so sad to have to return this tv. The picture on streaming from the Apple TV box and PS5 was exceptional, however, for reasons unknown we were unable to get this TV to work properly with the Telus 4K box. This is after about 4 hours with Telus tech support & 3 hours with Samsung support. Unfortunately, there is an issue where the picture flickers incessantly while attempting to watch the Telus digital cable box. The only solution to this, it appeared, was to put the Samsung TV on "Game Mode" to watch Telus TV. Otherwise, the issue persisted. TV has been great so far, beautiful picture using OTA antenna, chromecast and Blu-ray player. Still learning about other features. Very happy so far. Only issue I had that had nothing to do with the TV itself was the professional installation. Samsung contracted that out to Angie who assigned 2 separate people to do the installation. One never showed up, so I helped with the installation. I had already installed the TV wall mount and installed cables in the wall before they arrived. Probably would have had to reschedule if I had been unable to help. Person who did show up was knowledgeable about installing TVs. Samsung did reimbursement me approximately 65% of the installation charge. So I knew it was time for a new TV even though I thought 3 years was way too short for a TV to last considering how much was invested into it. The main reason for replacing my LED TV was I wanted something that would be a little better in a high brightness room. My wife and I recently moved to a 55 plus condo and our TV is situated next to the large deck slider windows. It is very bright and we had a hard time seeing a good picture during the daytime. From the minute that we set and turned on our new QLED TV we could see a world of difference. The picture is brighter and extremely visible no matter how much light comes into our living room. The ouputs on the back were a little annoying, as I think it would be easier to place inputs if outputs were facing the other direction. Also, some images definitely lose the richness and you can see pixels.However, with those few hiccups, this tv has changed everything! It's really nice not having to sit like 12 inches away from a small 25 inch tv screen. We can sit 6 ft away on the couch, and not lose visual clarity of what is on tv. It's interesting, as some of the media almost makes you feel like you are in it...quite amazing! It is great that the remote also worked for operating the Amazon firestick. I have been happy with Samsung and currently own three of their TVs. This TV also had a lot of inputs, so each to adapt to your needs and devices.This is a thinner TV, and does feel a little flimsy when you are putting it up. Just be careful not to flex it too much and you should be fine. I would save the box for future transportation.All in all, very satisfied with this purchase.
