I don't really feel consistent with this formula. Vitamin C is really unstable, so what I do like is that this waterfree one is potent and stable for a longer period. I mix it with pycnogenol to restore the degenerative effects of vit C and to optimize the anti-aging effects. My skin feels really soft in the morning. The gritty feeling is nothing too bad or off putting but the irritation and tingling is not so nice. Definately not suitable for sensitive skin or comprimised skin! Because of the oils in the squalane I don't use it during the daytime although vit C is best used during sunny days because of it's protection against free radicals and sunrays. With other words; use with caution and only for anti-aging proporties. During daytime it's best to use a lighter ... MoreI don't really feel consistent with this formula. Not a huge fan. This Vitamin C gets the job done for a low budget price, but it is not comfortable to put on or wear. For one thing, it is very thick and hard to spread. When wearing with makeup, your concealer will ‘pill’ on your face if you touch your skin. Similarly, I don’t like that it is parked with HA acid and I’ll tell you why. HA is best used on damp skin. It draws moisture from the area and if your skin is not damp or you live in a dry area, it may draw moisture from deeper layers of your skin and make you feel dried out. Vitamin C is applied to dry skin and can make the skin feel dry. Now I understand the logic that the HA was supposed to help with the dryness Vitamin C can cause but it can make things. Your better off with a moisturizer to help with skin irritants for Vitamin C than using a product combined with HA. Or at least put them on at separate times (ex. Damp face and HA, wait to dry, vitamin c and moisturizer) All of this being said, my biggest dislike was still just the thickness and the ‘pilling’ of the product (tbh I bought it, tried to push through for a week, and now it’s still full just sitting in my drawer....) It is okay for cheap skin care, but definitely not one of recommended unless you really couldn’t afford or didn’t want to spend much money on a Vitamin C.

Things I like: it's cheap. A product has vitamin C and HA. Why I picked this product? I believe Vitamin C is a good ingredient that I would like to try in my skincare routine but a lot of people say it is easy to irritate and it would make my skin very dry since I have a sensitive skin. So, When I found a product that contains HA in a vitamin C, I though it can help reduce irritation. Things I don't like: except for the affordable price, There is nothing I like about this item. It smells bad. The texture is hard to absorb. Importantly, every time I apply this, my skin becomes red and feel very uncomfortable. I tried 4-5 times but I still felt the same. I don't does the vitamin C in the product work or not since I stop using it.

I love this product. I use it every other day in combination with other serums and moisturisers. This one does have a gritty, almost sandy feel so I mix it with a daily cream something with fewer chemicals. I always use it in the nighttime. In the morning, my face looks and feels amazing. A lot of my dark spots are almost gone. My skin feels smoother and firmer. If you haven't introduced it to your skin then do it now start with a smaller quantity and gradually increase it. This will do wonders! Trust my words

✨Context✨ I know a lot of people don't like this product. Out of all the products that The Ordinary provides for direct ascorbic acid, people seem to put this one lowest in terms of preference. I actually took this as a challenge to test out the product to really see if it is truly as bad as some people say. ✨My Experience✨ I truly have sensitive skin that can easily become irritated by products that are too strong. That being said, my skin has become retinized and tolerant to prescription tretinoin (direct retinoic acid). Based on that experience, I knew that my skin could take on actives such as direct Vitamin C. I've tried the 30% suspension in silicone previously. I use it after my other serums and before moisturizers. I mix it into The Ordinary's Pycogenol and the Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence. I've noticed a significant skin brightening effect, as well as a mild skin firming effect. There is a mild tingling sensation upon application. I will repurchase.

I’ve been a die-hard fan of The Ordinary/Deciem for a while….not solely just because of the products, but, it was really the Founder, Brandon Truaxe that caught my attention respect. The way the media, most notably certain big named Magazines going at him relentlessly to the extent of publishing a “detailed timeline” of all of his “drama” just months before he took his own life, when he clearly needed understanding help instead of over the top ridicule was absolutely disgusting, that “detailed drama timeline” is still available online to this day. If only those same people at this publication that now scream about how important mental health is would’ve actually cared back then instead of documenting his every move we may not have lost a brilliant mind that wasn’t ... MoreI’ve been a die-hard fan of The Ordinary/Deciem for a while….not solely just because of the products, but, it was really the Founder, Brandon Truaxe that caught my attention respect. If only those same people at this publication that now scream about how important mental health is would’ve actually cared back then instead of documenting his every move we may not have lost a brilliant mind that wasn’t afraid of exposing the BS within the industry, being bluntly honest fully transparent, the thing everybody wants now days and is demanding. The Vitamin C (water silicone free) 23% + (dehydrated) HA Spheres 2% is one suspension I always keep in stock at home. The squeeze tube makes dispensing a breeze and it’s easy to control how much you want dispensed. Consider this to be more of a Serum than a moisturizer. This is one product you cannot afford to skip a thorough patch test with and by that I’m talking a good 72 hours just to be cautious you’re not going to have a delayed reaction. Some are thrown off by the texture with it being oily more specifically the grittiness…this is normal though due to the Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid) powder used in the formula. If you’re not a fan of oiliness or a powdery texture you may not like this specific option, there is another option in silicone available for purchase. This suspension can be a little more tricky when it comes to placement in a routine, (usually apply this and let it fully dry down/absorb before following up with a thick moisturizer containing hydrating ingredients due to the HA in the suspension). Can give a slight tingle when first introducing into routine until your skin is getting acclimated (even if you use high concentrations of other actives do not underestimate this product skip a patch test). Slight tingling is considered “normal”, burning is not. I personally diluted this with a different serum or cream w/very simple, basic ingredients when I first started incorporating into my routine and gradually transitioned to applying the suspension by itself (I still only use this about once a week). I personally use this for combating any dark spots or hyperpigmentation since it’s done a great job fading those concerns for me as well as combating any overall dullness. The Ordinary recommends applying at night. I personally prefer applying this during the day when I’m not having to be outside during day light hours for long since I like applying other acids/ingredients at night. With the saying, a little goes a long way, this is absolutely true bc applying too much can cause this to feel extremely oily w/some insane pilling. This is one product that is definitely not for everyone and that’s ok. #theordinary #deciem #skincarerocks #serum #vitaminc #ha #hyaluronicacid #skincaretricks #hyperpigmentation #dullness #nightroutine #morningroutine #moisturizer #suspension #skincare #skincarehoarder #brightening #darkspots #sundamage #skincareaddict #skincareproducts

I did see results! My skin was brighter, however this is not a product that can be mixed with other stronger products such as retinol and the glycolic acid. It also burns and stings as it’s a super strong formula and is gritty from the spheres and is best to be applied at night(per instructions) I’m assuming because of how strong and gritty it is HOWEVER is a great product and works, so it depends your skin goals and routine. If you’re only planing on use this as your strongest product or only use certain products on certain days it might be beneficial for you. Also if you mix it in with a moisturiser then it minimises the stinging effect 💝

Best vitamin c option available in India!

A lot of products sell in the market with generic name Vitamin C. But what not everyone knows is not all types of vitamin c works. The LAA (L-Ascorbic Acid) form is the only one that is backed by science that shows results. However LAA is highly unstable and turns yellow/oxidizes when it comes in contact with air/oxygen. That's why all original LAA serum option are expensive and only a few are available in India. This may not be a great product to use under makeup BUT it does the job of skincare nicely. You only need a pea sized amount and instead of rubbing the product on your face, tap it so that the particles don't bother you. You should also do a patch test before you apply this to your face as this is high concentration for a beginner. You may feel tingling effect on your skin for sometime after application. Verdict: This product works. Vitamin C is a must in skincare so I bear the particles which anyway disappear in few minutes.

not for the beginners

1. Gritty sensation might catch you by surprise at first use but youll get over it.2. Smells no so pleasant.3. Its quite runny and the opening is not helping, might drip everywhere if not careful. Please drip tiny bits and add as needed to avoid wastage. 4. Might be too strong for sensitive skin or iritated skin. Skin broke out after applying on irritated skin(waxxed chin and upper lips), skip it if you just wax or treat the skin. Or layer with thick moisturiser, do patch test!

Heard really good things about this product and decided to try it out since it is pretty affordable. I was mainly using this to get rid of/ fade my acne scars as literally nothing seems to work. Ive had these scars for probably over a year now. Having applied it, it kinda has a wet sand like texture? When youre rubbing it into your skin. Ive been using it for a fee weeks now, have not seen much results in terms of fading my dark spots but it definitely makes your skin smoother and gets rid of tiny bumps. If thats your skin concern it’d be perfect for you
