Yves Saint Laurent All Hours Foundation LN6

I was selected to try out the Yves Saint Laurent all hours foundation for free provided I test out the product and give my honest review. I was able to choose my color shade online and had thought the shade I chose closely resembled beige color but I was way off and when I received the item, I knew immediately the shade LW1 would be way to light! This foundation is a medium to full coverage and it’s buildable. I applied it with a beauty blender. I was able to wear the foundation for over 10 hours and it stayed put! Didn’t need to touch up at all, maybe just once to blot the t-zone. In the second picture, I swatched 3 foundations. The first one is Makeup For Ever Y345 which is several shades to dark for me. The second foundation is Mac NC25 which is my correct color and then lastly is the Yves Saint Laurent LW1 which you can see it very light for me. Mixing the MUFE and the YSL together does help to obtain a shade closer to my skin color. Overall, this is a nice foundation that gives good coverage, I just wish choosing the color shade online was more accurate.

I had worn it on an eventful Halloween night and woke up with my base still intact and no transfer on my pillow. I’ve worn it on Thanksgiving and it didn’t transfer on anyone’s shirts that I had given a hug. I do suggest trying to pick your correct shade because this was very difficult to blend in. I definitely plan to experiment with other primers besides the high grip one I used. I used a brush and tried a sponge. I preferred using a brush to blend though. If you are into dermaplaning your face to remove fine hairs then I suggest that. My foundation seemed to be stickier in those fuzzier spots. It’s alright, the waterproof claims hold up, I’ve worn it swimming and wore it for over 24 hours and it didn’t budge. The finish is satin and While it feels lightweight, it LOOKS heavy, it emphasized my pores and looks horrible around my mouth, I think it caught on the little hairs and emphasized them. It oxidizes to be a redder undertone as well, you can see the dried down shade in the photo I included. The coverage is high medium. I tried to build it up in on my blemishes and it didn’t fully cover. It does have fragrance, it smells like cleaning solution to me, not horrible but still strong.
