36kg Large Breed Chicken Hills Science Diet Puppy Dry Dog Food by Budget Pet Products

For all of you dog parents with smaller breeds, this food is the perfect balance of nutrition and balance! It has helped my dachshunds weight maintain a steady and healthy weight that doesn't fluctuate. This food has been our go-to for the past 2.5 years. After rehoming my dachshund, we switched him to Royal Canin Dachshund Teckel food that made him gain a 5 lbs within a short time span; we turned to Hill's Diet as a reduction option. Not only has the weight has stayed off, but has helped maintain the ideal weight and know the compatibility of this formula for our small dog is perfect. Highly recommend!

Was pups first type if hard/crunchy food. My pup loved it but we noticed he didn't get all the nutrition he needed. Wr bought powder to get him where he neededbto be. He grew out of the puppy food and has now changed to something else's. This was his only food he ate for the first year of his life as he didnt like any other brand we bought. He's a chocolate Labrador. This product may and my not be best. Some dogs don't get enough nutrition from this product if you notice this happening then please feed your dog something different.

Always a Science Diet Family

For almost 18 years, we have had so many furbabies, all Science Diet babies! I strayed once, fell for the allergy hype and all 3 black labs gained 20 pounds by their next wellness visit. Back to SD LIGHT (and nothing else foodwise changed) and they were back to their good weight. So many healthy babies in this family, all SD babies! I love the large breed light for the weight control and the joint health. We have also used the puppy large breed and the Perfect Weight (a little harder to find in Western CO) as they become more couch spuds and less bird dogs!

Does what it says! We love Hills!

One of our dogs had been on her other food for awhile but was gaining weight. It was a nicer brand so was surprised. Our vet recommended finding a food that notes weight management or healthy weight. There was a version with the food she was on so we switched to that and it seemed to leave her really hungry and was getting sick which was very odd for her. We quickly switched to this Hills option because our other dog uses Hills prescription food and that has been life saving so knew we could trust the food to perform. She’s been on this food for several months now with no issues, lost her excess weight, and has maintained. She’s happy so we’re happy!

Excellent food - excellent service from Petco

We searched and searched for the right food for our dog. On a whim, since he was gaining weight but never seemed “full”, I gave Hill’s a shot and am so glad I did!Although our giant lab has started to be “hungry” most of the time again, this food worked wonders for his coat, eyes and digestion! His poops are always firm and nowhere near as stinky as pre-Hill’s (gross but let’s face facts, as dog owners, this is a constant topic of conversation!) and he is as regular as can be.His eyes were always super gunky and itchy - that went away almost immediately when we switched to this food. Hills Science Diet Adult Light

I have two Labrador Retrievers and both were always said to be big boys when they got older. Well they were wide and big! One weighed 95lbs and the other weighed 103lbs and we’re not even a year old. We tried different brands and found that not only did this help with their patchy, yes patchy fur, it also helped with weight and they love it. They are both now 89lbs and the other is 99lbs and we have been on it for 2months now. Now the weight clearly didn’t come off quick but it is coming off and the vet is happy with the progress. Also might I add, they do stool a lot more but they do not seem hungry or searching for food! We only feed them 3-4cups a day and the vet recommended 2cups, but that won’t happen at all, sorry vet!! Perfect food for my Doxie!

I have a 11 year old mini doxie and we switched her from the regular small bites to this due to store availability. Best decision ever! She lost a bit of the stubborn weight we were struggling to shed with regular walks alone. Her energy notably increased and she is SO SOFT. She didn't even seem to notice it was less food (not hungry or whining more). Even the vet says how unusually nice her coat is and what good shape she's in! I feel good feeding her this food!

This is a great product for large breeds. I highly recommend purchasing directly from Hills, however. Their list price is $62.70. No reason to pay an additional $15 to Petco. Additionally, if your vet participates in Hills VIP market, the cost is $47.03 and is shipped for free to your vet's office. If your vet doesn't participate, ask them to consider it. The savings is fantastic.
