We have several other D3 pots and pans that we love, but the first time we've tried using the 12 qt it did not even get warm. We did the magnet test after, and while it will stick to the sides it absolutely will not sick to the bottom. Now we have a very expensive stock pot that we cannot use

I am thrilled with this 6 quart stock pot from All-Clad! I have been assembling a collection of many All-Clad items over the years and I am excited to add this item to my shelves. The finish and workmanship of the stock pot is instantly apparent as soon as you open the box. As I have come to expect from All-Clad, this is another great example of their quality products made here in the USA. At the time of this review I have only done a batch of pasta, however the performance is great. Heats up quickly, but evenly. Handles stay cool enough to lift off the stove. The lid fits perfectly, so it keeps the contents warm. Clean up was easy, and it still looks brand new. Over all I am quite happy with this item, and I look forward to many years of use.

We decided to buy individual pots rather than a set because the sets didn’t have all the sizes we wanted or needed. This was one of the sizes I did need and I love it. I’ve already made sauce twice in it. It’s a good size and is easy to maneuver because it’s not as tall as the pots I’ve used to make sauce in the past. I can see I will get a lot of use out of it.
I am replacing my Le Creuset Dutch oven of same size with this All-Clad version. My arthritic hands really appreciate the significantly lighter weight, and the rolled edge makes for much easier pouring out of the Dutch oven. The pot sautés well, without any hot spots. And it cleans up beautifully. I will replace smaller sizes with the All-Clad.
I recently purchased the entire set of All-Clad D-3 Tri-Ply SS pots.1. The are beautiful2. They are heavy but not too heavy for a female with small hands3. Disappointed with the small handles on each side as they get extremely hot. I suffered a very bad burn touching them, it is advertised that the handles do not get hot.Maybe the long handles stay cooler but the little ones do not!4. Also, disappointed the way the inside bottom of the pot turns rainbow colors when cooking. Been cooking many many years and have never seen this happen before. I followed directions and did not use high heat. This is resulting in extra clean time.5. Very expensive. Look for a sale.
My wife and I love the All-Clad 6-Qt Stainless Steel Stockpot! It is a beautiful-looking pot with a heavy-duty bottom. It is very well made and distributes the heat/temperature evenly across the bottom. It includes a stainless steel lid that fits nicely and the two stainless steel handles are riveted to the pot securely. The post can go from the stovetop burner to the oven safely up to 600 degrees! We use it to seer pork loins and make pasta and soups and it works great! It is also easily cleaned with a soapy sponge/scrubber or just put it in the dishwasher. You will love this pot!
Was needing a stock pot for soup and chili recipes that would not be so heavy once full. Received this as a gift from my kids and absolutely love it. Heats up quickly and holds temperature well. Perfect for those who enjoy cooking without a work out!
This is the perfect addition to any cookwear set you may own. I have several All Clad pieces and can not say enough good things about the quality of the pieces. This stockpot is the perfect size for just about everything. The first thing I made using it was a one pot lasagna dinner. Everything cooked evenly and thoroughly. That really is the best thing about it. There are no spots that cook faster or slower than any other. I was even able to put the pot in the oven for the last few minutes to melt the cheese topping. It was perfect. It cleans nicely with just warm soapy water. I strongly recommend this to any level of cook. It would also make a very nice gift especially for a shower or wedding.

But for me I find 3 additional All-Clad items have proven to be useful additions over the years, they are: #1 The Roaster with Rack (turkey, roasts, casseroles, lasagna), I use this regularly. #2 The Pasta Pentola though I now use it infrequently because I've found the 3-qt covered casserole (included in this set!) is just the right size for soup, sauce, and pasta when cooking for 2-4 ppl. The Oval Bakers (set of 2) are essentials; I use them constantly for individual entree portions, sides, and baked desserts.
