I received the Avène Tolerance Extremely Gentle Cleanser Lotion sample for free from Bzzagent in exchange for my review! This cleanser is, just like the name says, extremely extremely extremely gentle… Perfect for someone maybe with a sunburn or extremely sensitive skin but not really for me. Avène suggests that you apply the cleanser with your fingers or a cotton round and then just tissue it off without having to rinse but I mostly used it in the shower with water and, even though it didn’t suds up, it still cleansed my skin pretty well. I like different cleansers more than this one so I’m not planning on purchasing it but I highly recommend it if you have extremely extremely extremely sensitive skin or a sunburn.

This product got me through a tough transition. I was living in Copenhagen for a few months and the water there is very hard. My skin is dry and the water there would make it so much worse. My skin hurt so badly, and I needed to change my entire skincare routine. I ended up integrating Avene products and it solved the problem immediately. This cleanser is soothing and does not strip my skin one bit! Highly recommend.

Absolutely lovely product for sensitive skin

I intially bought this because I have been suffering from acne-prone skin in my early twenties which was very sudden. A lot of cleansers I tried, especially foaming ones, were very oil stripping and harsh to my skin. This is a no-no especially as the whole idea of skin is to retain a good moisture barrier!I bought this at first three months, ago and have now re-purchased twice. Before I only used this daily, and you can actually see how much dirt it lifts away from the skin when you wipe it away. It calmed redness, angry spots, and felt so light and gel-like, which made it incredibly nice to massage into my skin. Best cleanser I've ever tried...

After doing a lot of online research, I tried a couple of different cleansers (again, other brands) but was left disappointed. I then happened on the Avene brand. The extremely gentle lotion cleanser has far and away exceeded my hopes. I do rinse it, as I have combination skin and that works great. This cleanser is amazing! Burns and damages

Avéne will not post my review, they will not post any review that is not positive , that is why I suffered with this cleanser . It burned for days, my face was red and purple in many places , it was like it dissolved my skin. After that, I couldn’t use my regular products . Avene used to be good, now, they conceal things , won’t allow any reviews that are not positive and are riding off their old reputation , when they were good . Customer service is very rude . This is a seriously dishonest company and they never answer how I can return this garbage . Oh, and don’t get next day delivery . I ordered on a Wednesday and paid over $30 for delivery and received it the following Monday . If you like redness , hives (trixera because it’s a new formula ) and if you want your face damaged (cleanser ), then order , otherwise , run away . They also clearly changed the formula for the Trixera lotion and balm and even added fragrance to one! I seems like they have a new product every day . I called but you can only leave messages . Delivery is VERY slow with this company as well.I can't believe the ingredient change in Trixera , I broke out in hives all over my legs and yes I tried it multiple times . I used this for 5 years straight with no problems but I got it fromA derm in Seattle . After moving to NYC, I couldn't find it and it was not available online .If you're wondering why the products are not matching up with the reviews , it's because the ingredients have changed and these many new products are just marketing angles .One customer pointed out some of the ingredients have latex or are acidic ! Her face burned too.Also know that it is all mineral oil , not good . It also attracts the sun and it's a quick way to damage your skin.This was the harshest cleanser and I tried rinsing it off . No idea how to even return it .It's very frustrating that you just can't access decent products in the US. I guess you need to go to France and you better believe all the products have different ingredients here , just look at what happened with Nivea!

Great sensitive skin care cleanser

Firstly I recently have tried the all new Extremely Gentle Cleanser by Avene. This skincare cleanser is amazing for those with sensitive skin because it doesn't leave you feeling irritated unlike the other skincare products I have also tried - I can honestly say that this product works better for my skin. I think it's very dependent on your skin type - my skin situation is sensitive so of course this product responded well for me. Furthermore it doesn't leave any reaction or redness to your skin which was a POSITIVE for me.

I bought this cleanser lotion on the basis of what it was NOT supposed to do to my skin. When I used it for the first time, unfortunately it did everything that It wasn't supposed to. My facial skin is very sensitive,thin,and gets irritated very quickly .I was diagnosed with a mild case of Rosecea so as Im sure your company knows that the skin gets from pink to very red, can be tight, itchy and burns from any type of cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen, and make-up that has all the wrong ingredients in it ie. alcohol, fragrance ,sulfates, petroleum, etc. Be sure that I ordered this cleanser because of the fact that it did not contain any of the above. With this being said, I was actually very surprised and very disappointed to say the least. I'm on my first bottle of the Avene Extremely Gentle Cleanser Lotion, and I really like it. I use it to clean my face every morning. I don't follow the directions on the bottle though. I use it like a typical cleanser and rinse it off with water. It hasn't dried out my skin or caused any breakouts and does seem to be gentler than my previous morning cleanser. I am planning to repurchase. I love the simple ingredients and really like the idea of using piroctone olamine, which has some anti-fungal and other beneficial properties. One thing to note if you are an ingredient scrutinizer like I am is that the ingredients as of April 2020 were incorrect on Dermstore's website. Soothing Cleanser for Irritated Skin

My skin has been extremely irritated for the past few months and is constantly dry and red. I originally received this product in the Hypersensitive set and I am obsessed. It is everything I have been looking for in a soothing creamy cleanser. While other cleaners strip and irritate my skin further, this one is so soothing and immediately calms my redness and dryness. I am unsure of how thoroughly it cleanses heavy makeup since I normally use it as a second cleanse (first oil cleanser to remove the majority of daily SPF). You can choose to wipe the product after application or keep it on as a leave-on cleanser. And I have found it to be most effective when used twice daily.
