Avene Gentle Milk Cleanser 200 ml

So for me this cleanser was a blessing. I was previously using the Calm Daily Cleanser by Arbonne, which I really liked, but I have very sensitive skin right now, and every time I used the cleanser it felt like my face was itching. It never used to bother me, but it does now for some reason. So I knew I needed something new. I found this at Shoppers and I wasn't sure if it would be good because it sounded too gentle, I didn't think it would be helpful for my skin, but it is! It's got a cute simple package, nothing fancy, the pump works great and it's a big size. You only need a small squirt. It doesn't tingle or burn or anything, and I leave it on for a few seconds before washing. It does say you can just wipe it off, it's a "no rinse" cleanser, but that feels weird to me so I rinse my face off well. It leaves my skin feeling very clean and VERY hydrated. This lotion is practically a moisturizer! For anyone with super dry skin and sensitive skin I highly recommend this to you because it is really so gentle and so moisturizing and it does leave my face feeling clean. Now if you have more oily skin, combination skin, or just want a more effective cleanse, and you are looking for a cleansing balm to remove makeup, you should also give this a try! I use it sometimes when I need a deeper clean for my first cleanse, since its gentle and effective at makeup removal!

It can be used as a first cleanse to remove sunscreen (and makeup if u wear it) when double cleansing and it can be used as a regular cleanser! My skin feels so soft after I use this! I tend to use it more as a 2nd cleanse but I do fairly often use it as a 1st cleanse. It’s not oily at all. I’ve never left it on my skin or just wiped it off, I’ve always rinsed it off so I can’t speak to the leave on aspect of it. But it’s extremely hydrating, gentle and effective. A lifesaver for my dry skin from winter

I just moved to Alberta, Canada coming from a really hot tropical country. Experiencing my first winter and my skin adjusting to the new environment really took a toll on my skin. It was so dry that even putting moisturizer doesn't work at all. My whole face was flaking, even my eyelids. My skin burns everytime I put any product on it. This product is a lifesaver. Good thing I took my time to look for the perfect product. The dryness is gone and my skin is as soft as ever.

Doesn't do much for price...

I've had this product for 4 months and have been using it to double cleanse but I find that it doesn't do much cleansing. I wear a light amount of foundation and after using this product to remove makeup, I still have foundation showing up on cotton pads. I've used cheaper makeup removing cleansers and they work way more efficiently with less than half the price. As for skin concerns, I have a lot of acne and it didn't make a difference. The consistency is also TOO lotion-like, it does not feel like a typical face wash. Would get a refund if I could.

Gentle hydrating milk cleanser

I am a little cautious about milk cleansers as some tend to be difficult to wash off or leave an oily residue on the skin. This cleanser however does not do this and I'm very impressed with it after using it for the last two weeks. It's a rather thick cleanser which feels luxurious to rub into the skin, removes makeup easily especially my mascara which can be stubborn. When rinsing it off it surprisingly washes away without leaving an oily residue but still leaves the skin feeling hydrated and not dried out whatsoever. It's a wonder product really. It also smells divine. Will definitely repurchase.

Gentle skin product

I started using this product as the fact it is for the eye area and for sensitive skin appealed to me. It is definitely gentle on the skin and very cooling. I am impressed with how even when I thought all my mascara was removed the lotion proceeded to remove even more! It feels quite rich compared to my usual cleanser but as it is used prior to toner this balances out well and my skin feels prepared for serum, moisturiser etc.A little of the lotion goes a long way so this is also good value for money.

Hydrating gentle cleanser

This is my favourite cleanser and the one which I use most evening to remove my makeup. It is very creamy, I use a cotton wool pad and the cleanser to remove all traces of my makeup, it is gentle enough to use around my eye area too. Leaves my skin clean and feeling hydrated and plump, its not harsh like other cleansers which strip your skin of their natural oils. This product is a staple and I am never without it, I love lots of the avene products, they work well with my sensitive skin.

It works for combination/sensitive skin too!

I have oily skin with acne, but but very sensitive and reactive. After trying a lot of cleansers, this have been the one that finally works!!! Even thought is directed to dry skins, it has works miracles in my skin, and I haven't had any more irritations as with other cleansers. I have combine this cleanser with the Micellar water (before the cleanser to get out the make up), and after the cleanser: the Clearance serum in the morning for the acne, and the Triacneal (PM), always finishing with Tolerance cream on both times for hydratation. Magic Avene formula for me!

Love it

I’m so so happy with this. My skin on my face has been so temperamental lately. One minute it’s really dry and the next it’s oily. After using this every night along with a new moisturiser my skin feels like it’s back to normal. Normally my make up remover can feel likes it’s burning me, this is very creamy and fast acting so my skin, especially around my nose feels protected. This is definitely something I will continue using.

Nice product and feels good on your skin

This was a very gentle cleanser and I liked the slight fragrance that was not overpowering and barely there. I don't normally use milk cleansers but I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. It took off my make up well but waterproof mascara needed an extra helping hand after cleansing. No issues with my skin after using and I would recommend it to people, even if they do not have sensitive skin, as its just feels a bit gentler than other cleansers.
