Beautiful rich creams, work well with my dry skin. Not sure how it would work on oily skin. But I am very happy with the texture and it sinks in nicely before make up. It behaves well under make up too.

I received this product as part of Boots Review panel, along with several other Avene products which I used in conjunction. Due to a recent flight my skin was not at its best when I first tried any of them and I do not usually use a lot of products or have particularly sensitive skin.I used this product prior to other day time products or alone, and I found it very similar to the Avene Hydrance Emulsion. I found them very similar and you only need a very small amount.It is lightweight and has a very pleasant but gentle fresh smell and left skin feeling very hydrated but not oily. Although am not sure I have really noticed all that much difference to my skin after about three weeks of use, I do think that it would be a fabulous stand alone facial suncream when ... Brought this for my partner who has dark brown skin. Great for his sensitive, dry skin. Moisturises and has spf which is amazing. Don’t need a lot and it works nice with a face oil. It does leave a slight purple/ white cast but it’s not as bad as other spf we’ve used. For reference I’m a mac NC25 and it doesn’t leave a cast on me.

Lovely product. My skin becomes tight and dry within a couple of hours of applying moisturisers. I have tried them all. Avene products work the best for me and the serum really does make a difference to how my skin feels throughout the day. However as it is a glass pump bottle I do find there is a fair amount of product waste. As living costs are increasing at a dramatic rate a tube would be better to prevent less product waste, hence the 4 stars.
Excellent cream for winter months. Leaves a white cast but it disappears quickly when blended in. Provides a lovely layer of moisture and spf protection for the winter months. Has a mild and comforting smell, plus the tube lasts a long time. And doesn't sting the eyes! Five stars from me!
Suffering with very sensitive skin, I have to be careful which products I use. I have had no trouble with Avene and love their serum. I shall stick with this product now having thrown away so many alternatives in the past when my skin reacted to them.
This spf 30, seems to have replaced my al times staple face cream through many years, the Avene Hydrance UV Rich Hydrating Cream SPF20 40ml.In theory I would prefer the added extra UV protection, however this new formula is not great for my very sensitive skin, and are quite hard to apply evenly with out leaving a white greasy layer on my skin.Now it’s a sun lotion, not a fantastic face cream with the added benefit of spf 20 for summer use. As a sun lotion, it’s still better for my sensitive skin compared to other lotions I’ve tried, it stings a little around the eyes, but do not melt in to my eyes and makes them water/run. So that is always something, for long summer days spent in the sun. For everyday use, I will have to shop for a new product.
As mentioned by other reviewers, this product has recently gone through a formula change and the result is definitely not for the better. The SPF20 version felt light but nourishing and was excellent under make up. I used it for years and years. The new SPF30 version is awful... it's thick and greasy. Without any make up it makes my face look shiny and sweaty. And neither does it work well with make up, which just seems to slide off. All in all a hugely disappointing 'upgrade'. Like others, I now find myself looking for an alternative. Hopefully, Avene will realise its mistake and reinstate the previous version, which I and many others loved.
I've tried lots of SPF facial moisturisers, many with a less impressive SPF and many that leave me looking ghostly. Having also tried Avene Antirougeurs SPF 30, which has a less than pleasant perfume, the Hydrance moisturiser ticks all the boxes. My skin stays hydrated and it makes a wonderful base for makeup. I even apply it before Bioderma Photomax SPF50+ tinted and my skin looks very dewy. I can't fault Avene Hydrance SPF 30 on quality and price.
Very good product, pleasant texture, easy to apply, fast absorption and no fat shine of the skin noticed after 2 weeks. I use it once in the morning and even after long time on the sun during the day have no redness or sunburn. The cleaning lotion was also very good bonus.
