Always works, and brushes out without flakes or excessive residue

This is the only dry shampoo in a can that has ever worked for my long, thick hair. It's oily at the roots, dry and damaged at the ends. This gets me through the days I don't have time for a full, shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner. My fine hair strands seem to absorb everything, but there's lots of it, and rinsing takes forever! Batiste doesn't leave those dandruff-looking flakes, and any white residue comes out easily with brushing (if you don't spray too close to the scalp...then you may need to work it out with your fingers or brush in different directions to loosen it from the scalp). It gives a true clean, unlike some brands that are not as absorbent. A good shower cap allows me to get clean quickly, dry shampoo, and go!

It's on the second day I do a dry shampoo treatment. I just apply shampoo to a few small parts of my hair, blow dry on cool for two minutes, then done. But I felt like with this product it was only effective for two hours, especially as I got to the bottom of the can. And I used more and more. Then, my hair looked like the BP oil spill for the rest of the day (which was frankly embarrassing). The smell isn't overpowering. This is my overall pet peeve with spray on dry shampoo, I don't agree with the architecture of the product. And the Drybar version's straw wasn't able to get all of the product out, so I had to throw out the entire can with 5% of the product still inside. So, if your hair doesn't have an issue with greasiness, you'll probably have better luck with this product.

I have SUCH a love/ hate relationship with Batiste: Dark Hair Dry Shampoo. I love that it doesn’t leave a white cast to your hair (like its name suggests), and it really is effective at making hair look and feel less oily! But what I hate about it is that when I use it towards the front of my hair it gets dark streaks on my face!!! I was recently at an important function and I was absolutely mortified when I went to the bathroom and saw that I had a whole dark brown/ practically black streak that looked like soot on the side of my face as a result of this dry shampoo!!! That’s not the first time it’s happened, either. I’ve decided to stop using it because of that - I will forever be paranoid about it getting on my face.
