Baumr AG 25cc Petrol Chainsaw Arborist 10 Bar Tree Pruning Garden Chain Saw

A great little saw, easy to start, & use one handed, either hand. Plenty of power for the jobs I use it for. It didn't get a 5 star rating due to the slightly awkward replacing of the chain, & bar but that said you soon get used to how to get it on. It came with a spare oil pump drive, which is a part that will wear out, good on you guys for that. I've only had it for a short while but will be putting it to a lot of use soon. So far I am very happy with it. Price was a bit more than I've paid for 12" saws at a local shop which are very similar, the proof will be in the longevity of the unit. I'm a professional gardener with a small business and needing to do a significant amount of pruning and shrub removal. I'd usually use a hand saw or my 20 inch Stihl. Both work well but a small CS like this is just fabulous. It's light enough to use one handed with care and rips through both small and large branches and tree trunks effortlessly. It starts easily and runs well. The chain lasts as long as it is respected. Dulls more easily than my 20 inch buts only 20 teeth to sharpen. I think the cost was reasonable too. I love it.

An improved and versatile chainsaw

This is the second of this model that I have purchased, and I had some good work out of the earlier version. I have already begun using this model and I am more than pleased with its performance. It is well-balanced and has sufficient grunt for the home arborist work I do. I have a backyard full of trees, including a Liquid Amber that is constantly breaking limbs of various diameters up to 250mm. This little beauty is easy to use up the tree or trimming on the ground. Its light enough to be used single handed at many angles. I prefer using this machine to the 26" bigger version that I have because it is so versatile. The maintenance is straight-forward and I'm looking forward to some good use.

Excellent chainsaw, highly recommended

I purchased this chainsaw to clear my overgrown house block of the numerous Palm trees ranging in size from 3m to 7m in height and from 4" to 8" in diameter. Well this thing is amazing. It has knocked over and cut up about 100 palms. My 16 year old son decided to try it on an old gum tree stum in the yard, approx 20 inches in diameter, twice the length of the bar. Well I laughed, but he and the chainsaw amazed me. He worked his way around the tree and cut it clean in half. ( wish I could upload the photo ). A great chainsaw, light, powerful, easy to start and use. Will definitely buy another one when this one expires.

Great little chainsaw

I was after a small chainsaw for cutting firewood while caravanning and first tried a friend's Ryobi electric chainsaw as this would have been the lightest & smallest option. Found it to be almost useless for cutting small (100 mm dia), dry logs - OK for small green stuff. Read the previous good reviews on the Baumr-AG SX25 and bought one to try. Found it to be excellent for the job. Obviously it is slower than larger saws and can jam the chain if you try to rush things. Great little saw - light and easy to use. Have recommended to friends.

Great little machine

Delivered on time as promised. Great little saw that puts bigger saws to shame. Light enough to be used one handed and powerful enough to cut through large branches. Edison’s support is awesome.

My 2nd arborist 10" Chainsaw (still have the 1st also)

This product is awesome. It is gutsy enough to quickly & cleanly cut through the branches of my neighbours 15 year old Camellia tree that he asked me to Copice for him - and being light in weight meant that I could do it safely with one hand. As stated above, this is the 2nd of these saws I own, ('cause the first one I used for cutting down his fibrous giant bird of paradise & didn't blow out/clean out the liquid until the next day & it clogged up) - they are cheap enough to just buy another & reserve the older one for tough jobs.

Unbeatable for price

Rip cord jammed multiple times trying to start. Had to unscrew side to get rip cord to retract. Started eventually. Did 5 minute job which was easy on light old wood. Chain got hot and buckled. Had a full tank of lube. Never was straight after that. Cover never fitted back on. Took saw to tip. Wasted $90.

You get what you pay for

Lets be honest what do you want for this kind of money, its as cheap as chips, and does the job. I have rural property acres of trees, it pruned lower branches like a good one. i bought it as an alternative to Stihl arborist chainsaw (too expensive and they know it!). I own Stihl chainsaws they are good, but god help you if you need parts or consumables, they charge drug money, and then some, for their stuff. Keep going the way you are stihl, and it will get even harder to sell your product! beaten by the Chinese, playing right into their hands! don't mind paying more, but don't like being blatantly ripped off. i still think baumr are great value.

Over the years i have bought about 12 chainsaws and other items of edieons i have never had a problem the saw i got last i find it near impossible to start i have ended up with brused fingers i no i am 78 years old but i still have 2 16"baumr i have no problem starting them thankyou regards ron sparey. the chainsaw i am talking about is a 10".
