GREAT unit, but bad instructions for the pod version.. Unit uses ethernet to move data at the speed of your ethernet. VERY handy for multiple computer systems, (any kind-pc-mac-pi4, etc.) Great place for gross storage. It is online all the time for 3 Macs, 2 Raspberry PIs, 1 PC. Drives can be hardware raid1 (we have 10TB raid1) or single large drives. Bumpy start, slow filling, but heaven for sharing data, or storing it.

So far so good. Rocks with resolve and works with premiere as well. Pretty dang impressed. Blackmagic rocking it once again!

I ordered the Blackmagic Cloud Pod to allow my 10GE computers to share access to high-speed disks (SSDs). The POD works when (and if) the IP address sticks. Let me explain what I mean by that:I installed the POD and assigned a static IP address. In a Windows environment, there is an issue with the CIFS/SMB shares published by the POD. I could always reach the POD via ftp, but it is hit-and-miss attaching a Windows share to the POD. I have had to unplug power from the POD and try to reattach a share once I have restored power. Not once, but almost daily. While B&H made finding and ordering the POD easy. And their shipping is fast and flawless, with no damage to the packaging. The POD itself seems to be more of a beta unit and not a consumer ready unit. Maybe ... MoreI ordered the Blackmagic Cloud Pod to allow my 10GE computers to share access to high-speed disks (SSDs). Does not work with a lot of different drives. Due to the lack of support and compatibility, I would have to recommend staying away from this product.
No complaints! Does exactly what it's supposed to. Hopefully will upgrade to the Cloud Store soon.
Only compatible with single USB-C single drives. Not able to use any raid sets or not usb-c even with an adaptor. Maybe this is fine for some but I find this extremly impractical. BM support says they have no plans to add that functionality... I guess they hope you'll drop 10k+ on the Cloud Store.
I bought this item and returned to Argentina. For my surprise the item was used, the security stickers of the box were broken and the item was with the bag in the interior clearly open. I dont know if this was a Blackmagic problem or a B&H problem but this is unnaceptable to me
