Casio G-Shock Mudmaster Gw-9500-1er Watch

For the money, this watch is highly recommended having had the green negative display previously was an absolute disaster for legibility.So, the only option for this model was to go for the positive display to avoid disappointment.The watch is very well made and the functionality is straightforward as I downloaded the Casio PDF which shows all the details of watch operation.

First new g shock since when new mudmaster dropped nearly 5 years ago and I love it, already damaged it lol use your s*it people!

Excellent Watch

What a fantastic watch. I was very lucky to have this watch purchased for me for my birthday. I have owned a few g shock watches from a variety of ranges. This is fare the best in design, quality, comfort. 10/10 for the Mudman :) thank you love x

GW-9500-1ER

I love the look, feel and functionality of this watch. Unfortunately I had to return it at my own expense, as the display contrast made it difficult to read, as it was quite dark. Since returning I’ve read similar reviews stating the same thing. Shame really, I liked the simplicity of the display and the rugged durability of the watch, but if you can’t read it easily during activities it’s no use to me. I’m waiting for the Protrek-35 1AER to become available in the UK. Apparently that has excellent readability and all the same functions.

Since the announcement of the release of this watch, I was excited to buy it. G-Shock has been releasing so many watches with hands, I thought the days of a good looking digital G-Shock were done.The advertisements on Facebook and via email, as I subscribed for updates, were good at explaining the features of the watch but were too repetitive and frustratingly lacked the release date.The demonstration photos also showed the compass line, in blue rather than black, extending beyond the face and onto the body of the watch, so my faith in the end product dipped a little.After too many unanswered questions by numerous people on Facebook about the release date, finally it came.The price for the GW-9500-1ER was different from the price first stated both on Facebook ... MoreSince the announcement of the release of this watch, I was excited to buy it. Thankfully this was pointed out by a Facebook user and Casio did rectify this by sending me a partial refund.Then the watch itself came. The backlight is really, really poor compared to all the G-Shocks I've ever owned. It's two cheap looking little LED bulbs I believe which, when illuminated, means the information is only available clearly at certain angles.The day readout going down to two letters isn't in keeping with the G-Shocks of the past, which is just preference but another notch off this watch.The next irritation was when Casio refunded me the full price paid, after partial refund, to my bank account.I contacted them was then referred to someone else to contact to correct their mistake. As a result of this, I was given a discount code. I checked this on the UK site and it had been used too many times, meaning I couldn't use it.I fed this back and received another discount code which would take about £60 off the total price of a GW-9500-1ER but I won't bother.From the excessive advertising and emails, poor attention to detail, too many mistakes and a rather cheap looking watch backlight, I think I'll buy up some more older G-Shocks or else find a new brand to use.Even the reason for purchase on this review page is silly. I bought it to use the features of the watch, not just as a treat or gift.

Good Watch, Poor Customer Service

I was always hesitant about buying a Rangeman because of the small digital display, so when I saw the new Mudman with a lovely, legible positive display I had to have one.The watch itself is great, my problem is that less than two weeks after the launch Gshock knocked 10% off the price by using the code Mudman.I contacted customer service to see if they would refund the difference, but was told no. I would have to return the watch I bought (at my expense) and then buy it using the discount.So great watch, rubbish customer service.

Love it

Wanted a G for ages, this new mudman really caught my eye. I love the simple non cluttered display. Heard the negative display was hard to read so that ruled out 2 of the 3. I am really happy wwith this. The perfect watch really. Looks cool without being too big, great features, comfortable, maintenance free. Really sits nice

Do like this Mudman. Sits really nice on the wrist and is super easy to navigate. Have a bunch of G-Shocks and this one with the positive display is up there with the best. Lost of compliments on its look.
