I got a deluxe sample of this toner in a complimentary gift with purchase it is the softest, silkiest toner that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I did not rate this five stars because I would prefer it to be more hydrating than it is currently is. This is for very dry sensitive skin, which does include anyone with dehydrated skin (as myself). I follow up using any acid-infused products with this to calm soothe my skin. It is a thicker toner, resembling more of a serum texture. I have had one or two instances where there was a slight tingling sensation upon application, but I assume that whatever product I used immediately before contained ingredients that did not mesh with the toner’s formulation all too well.

I’ve never used this brand before but have heard great things about this product and was so excited to try it out when I got it in my VoxBox! The toner lotion is gel based which I love because I have oily skin and usually try to go for more of a gel based lotion. I loved that this was not only a toner but it also hydrated my skin like a lotion would. When I used the toner lotion I actually didn’t even both putting on another layer of moisturizer because I felt like my face was already very moisturized from the toner! I really loved this product. I think I have found a new toner. And waking up I didn’t feel crazy oily at all like I do with some toners/moisturizers. I was very impressed. The smell was also very subtle and nothing overly strong. My only ish with this product is that it comes in a plastic tube which is just terrible for the environment. I wish I could come in a glass container or even if the plastic was made with recycled plastic.

I received a 1 ounce sample of Clarins Soothing Toning Lotion free in exchange for my honest opinion. The regular size of this product is 6.7 ounces and sells for $27 on Saks, Ulta, Sephora, Nordstrom’s websites. The product packaging is nice, not especially high end looking, but nice. As I have said in other reviews I really like Clarins products, there are very few brands of lotions and skin care products that I really like because my skin is very dry and sensitive. The toner has a faint scent, like the cleanser, of roses. The scent is slightly stronger than the cleanser, but still very light and clean. I didn’t notice it once it was on my skin. It is also alcohol free which is great for sensitive and dry skin users. After a few uses my skin did look brighter and feel softer. In all honesty though I probably will not continue to use the product, not because I don’t like it...because I do think it’s a really great product, but because it’s an added step in my skin care routine that I will probably forget about. However, I would recommend the product to people with dry skin that are looking for a very mild toner.

Prior to this toner, I had only ever used astringent toning products and I am not ever going back. The toner is somewhat thick in consistency, it doesn’t pour out like thin alcohol free neutrogena or sea breeze toner and has a light chamomile scent. It leaves a soft to the touch finish and seems to absorb quickly into the skin. I have dry skin, am prone to redness, and live in a windy cold climate- so finding a soothing toner was a great surprise. I have been using this product after the Clarins face wash, and my skin feels noticeably less irritated by the dry climate. I would compare this to the Mad Hippie moisturizing facial spray in terms of hydration and soft herbal fragrance. I am quite loyal to my current skin care regimen, but this has proved to be a fantastic addition and I will be repurchasing once my sample size runs out. If you have sensitive, dry or acne prone skin I would highly encourage you to purchase this product.

I really enjoyed trying this Clarins Paris Soothing Toning Lotion. It smells clean and fresh like spring flowers, and is quite soothing. It is made with Chamomile and Saffron Flower extracts for sensitive and dry skin types. I do tend to have skin that is more on the dry side, and do tend to skip toner often because of it. However, this toning lotion did not made my face feel more dry or cause me to have dry spots after using it. I received this a couple of weeks ago, so it has been enough time that some irritation or dry spots would have shown up by now. I love that this toners formula is part of a green and eco-friendly initiative, and made without alcohols or colors. My experience has been positive, and my face is looking very healthy and smooth after using this in conjunction with the rest of my skincare routine. Overall, a very decent product, and I would consider repurchasing in the future.

Beautiful for Indian Skin Tones

I purchased three bottles for my sister. She loves it said the toner blends with her skin type very well. Cleanses and brightens the skin tone reduces areas blemished to evenly tone the skin colour. The toner is like other Clarins toner like a gel. She is Indian and would highly recommend this product.

The product you did not know you needed

I never thought I needed a toner, but I got a sample of this and immediately went and bought a full sized one. My skin is easily irritated, from the sun, winter dryness and wearing makeup everyday. This calms my skin down, my skin looks amazing, reduced redness and irritation. It doesn’t feel like anything on the skin and it smells like heaven. I genuinely love this product.

personal decision

I give it 3 stars, but some may go 5. the texture and objective of the product is right on. However for me, the smell kills the deal. First night I thought this smell is not that bad, second night I got a headache. The smell was overpowering, washed the sheets to get it out. Now of course this is just me, someone else may find smell to not be a problem. You will love the texture if your skin is sensitive, but I had to go back to Hydrating lotion.

This was my first purchase for this term, and I found it to be natural, non-irritating, and highly moisturizing. It offers great value for the price. Although I'm still getting used to the scent, I will repurchase it and recommend it to friends. It's worth mentioning that the sales associate who helped me with my last CLARINS purchase was excellent—very attentive and thorough in her service. Once I finish using my current products, I will buy other items she recommended.
