Corsair now offers a broad portfolio of efficient and powerful all-in-one water cooling systems, from entry level to high end. Clearly the Hydro H150i PRO belongs to the latter category. The main advantage of this model over the smaller brothers is the almost brutal cooling performance. So it has not only a single but even a triple radiator, which massively increases the surface for heat dissipation and a very high performance is possible.

So this thing feels exceptionally built in most ways. I really appreciate them including their higher quality fans. I know the price of this cooler is high, but the fans sort of justify it a bit. The pump is surprisingly light. Hopefully it's up to the task long term. I've had some of the Corsair coolers that have the tubes coming off the top of the pump that are thicker and less adjustable. I have to say that I prefer them coming from the side with the 90° angles that allow them to be rotated as needed. To make use of all the features on this you're stuck running Corsair Link software, which has only gotten better in time, but still never feels super great. To make use of all the features on this you're stuck running Corsair Link software, which has only gotten better in time, but still never feels super great. So here's the thing about this cooler, it's largely unneeded from a cooling standpoint as most 240-280mm CLC's are more than capable of keeping up with the vast majority of CPUs on the market, even when they are overclocked. Yes Intel has pushed a few enthusiast CPUs as of late that could benefit from the larger 360mm rad used in this product, but that says less about this cooler being good than it points out that Intel is just pushing a bad product in response to AMD. So why get this pricy cooler? Simple, to be at quiet as possible. That is where this thing excels. If you are going for quiet, then this is what you want. It does have a few caveats however. One you need a case big enough to accommodate it. Two, to make use of the zero fan mode, you may want to positioning it correctly. What do I mean by that? A lot of CLCs get front mount on case air intakes. So they dual purpose in cooling the CPU while also bringing in air into the cooler. To use the zero fan however, you'd stop bringing in air into the case. Granted when the CPU/Water warm up the fans will spin, but again, they spin slow and quiet. So using this cooler at the front of the case could be detrimental for overall case temps. So I recommend that this cooler be used in case that can top mount it as exhaust instead. Furthermore the case should provide adequate air intake from the front to help the case while still providing enough air for the cooler itself to exhaust air that isn't heated extensively by the GPU. Bringing in air from the front to do all this however shouldn't undermine the goal of quiet, otherwise what's the point. I recommend something like the Define R6 which would allow this to quietly bring in front air while allowing this cooler to be top mounted to work as it was designed. A couple of other things. We are finally getting coolers that are AM4 capable out of the box and this is no exception. I plan on using this cooler in a new build. Currently I'm using a Corsair Air 240 case. So I've had to hang this cooler outside the case for testing purposes. Like I recommended prior, after a lot of research am probably doing to use the Define R6 for my choice of case. I'll be giving up my smaller case, but gaining a lot in terms of quiet.

The kit includes screws and washers to mount fans in both push and pull (i.e. up to 6 fans). I am very happy with the performance and sound levels and would both recommend and consider buying again. Regarding the "RGB" aspect of this product though, the RGB on the pump is okay, nothing too fancy. The included 3x Corsair ML120 PWM have no RGB. So, if you are very concerned with aesthetics and lighting this is not a particularly "wow" inducing kit.

Summary The Corsair H150i Pro RGB cooler is a triple-radiator AIO (all-in-one) liquid cooling solution for modern processors. It comes with a triple-radiator, CPU block/pump, three mag-lev fans, and mounting hardware. However, once you have it installed, you’ll find that this AIO kit does indeed cool very well, and the Link software gives you precise control over fans, color schemes of the RGB effects, and insight into system temps. If it lasts, I will be extremely happy with this kit. Installation The only case I had that was large enough to house the triple radiator was an old Antec 1200. It needed modifications in the front. Basically I had to remove all of the hard drive bays except the top three, strip out the old front fans, and custom install the radiator and new fans in their place. I had just enough room for the radiator, one HDD, and one DVD-drive. My two SSDs had to be velcroed to the bottom of the case though (no big deal). It took me more than a half day to get it installed to my satisfaction using the original case fan holders, dust filters, and front grills, but it was worth it and I am satisfied with the results. This was largely a trial and error process to see what mounting approach would work; there is no case installation guidance to be found in any documentation. In retrospect, this makes sense since every case is different, and chances are your installation will be very different than mine. The CPU block installation could not have been easier. LGA 2011 (including v3) does not need a backplate, so you should be able to remove your old CPU cooler, clean the old TIM off, and just put the CPU block on using the included LGA 2011 standoffs. In my case I chose to remove the motherboard to make room for working on the case, but you may not have to. The new TIM is already applied to the bottom of the CPU block, and from what I am seeing so far in terms of temps, it does a great job. There is extra hardware included for other socket types, including AMD processors (see the specs). To complete the installation, you wire up the three maglev fans to the CPU block, and connect the block to a USB header and CPUFAN header on your motherboard as well as to a SATA power connection from your power supply. Once booted up, download the Corsair Link software and you are ready to go. Performance I was pretty happy with my air setup, so I was skeptical about how much improvement I would see. I have an Intel 4820K CPU mildly overclocked to 4.3GHz at 1.1850v in the bios. On air, I was getting idle temps of around 20c and under full load I was getting 69c. Using the H150i Pro, I am now seeing idle temps of 14c, and under full load it is only 43c – a MAJOR improvement. In addition, the ML fans are very quiet using the balanced profile in the Link software. I bumped it to performance mode and didn’t notice any change. They are still very quiet. The Link software is great. You can see all of the relevant temps in your system. You can set the RGB to emit colors based on temps or use other effects such as rainbow, flashes, etc. In addition, and perhaps most importantly, you can configure the software to react to certain conditions. For example, if the pump dies (or slows to under an RPM you can specify), you can set the software to shut down the computer or flash an alert. The same goes for temps. I’ve been out of water cooling for a while before this, but my old block / pump setup couldn’t do that. It can also do this for other hardware in your system, such as your video card. Conclusion This is a great AIO cooler. Installation could be easy or tough depending on your tower. But once you get it installed you will be very happy. It cools great, runs quiet, and the software is easy to use and robust. I’ve been using it now for three weeks with no issues at all. Since it is a new product, only time will tell how long it lasts. But based on performance (and looks), I highly recommend it. It is a major and overdue improvement to my rig. Nice job Corsair!

Now the most noticeable change is the new type of fan that Corsair is shipping the H150i Pro with, these mag lev fans truly delivered on the claims of being quiet. The 120mm fans on the H150 Pro can ramp up to 1,600 RPM while pushing 47.3 CFM and 1.78 mmH2O at a 25-dBA noise level. Under a full synthetic load, I noticed no increase in audible noise even with the additional 120mm fan. Another nice feature is the fact that using Corsair Link the fans will actually shut off when they are not needed, as a gamer who enjoys leaving my PC on “almost” 24/7 for quick sessions this is great. It reduces wear on the fans and power usage from the system. Another small feature that I enjoyed was the diameter of the hoses that from run from block to radiator, these are much smaller than previous generations which made them less noticeable when ran across the top of case, while small this seemed to produce a cleaner inside. Now in terms of cooling my prior AIO was a Corsair H100i V2 on a Ryzen 1800X overclocked to 3.8GHz and under synthetic load I was hitting around 48 degrees Celsius and under idle around 32 degrees. Now with taking into account the extra length of an another 120mm fan, I am seeing synthetic load temps around 35 degrees and idle around 23 degrees. I would only ask that Corsair add RGB to these new Mag Lev fans since RGB is life it seems but at the moment that is all I could ask for.

Thermal paste was bad out of the box. The iCUE software is required to set the performance of the pump and fans. The RGB on it isn't overwhelming but in a nice spot however you need the iCUE software to control it unlike some other AIO on the market. The mounting solution is terrible. You get to little squares with a stud that slips over preinstalled clips on the mobo and two oversized thumb screws. When you look at intels solution it has 4 screws and evens out the pressure not so with the AM4 socket. The performance of the AIO is great but due to bad thermal paste causing my cpu to overheat on windows install, terrible mounting solution, and the need for another piece of software just to control your AIo it gets 3 stars. It gets a solid 5 in the performance category.

Small gripes aside, this is a fantastic cooler. I hooked it up to my old 140W Phenom II cpu just to see if I could push it's limits, and I was unable to hit the thermal barrier before I hit the mechanical one. Even shoving 1.55 volts into the cpu, the temp never went above 45c, which is still well below the safe limit of 50c. I got the 3.4 ghz cpu up to 3.95 ghz completley stable. Even overclocked the hypertransport and the ram. It really bugs me that I have to have two RGB programs running that manage both sets of devices separately. Corsiar reps on thier forums say that they will eventually merge the two, but for now my system tray looks like a bunch of dead kings of Gondor are about to disembark. It would also be nice to synchronize the colors. All in all though, ... MoreSmall gripes aside, this is a fantastic cooler. Most efficient and silent CPU AIO cooler
25 April 2020

Corsair is without a doubt one of the best brands for the all in one (AIO) add on liquid cooler. I purchased this to install on “Corsair Spec-Omega” case for “Intel Core-i5 9600K” CPU. In the begining I was struggling to choose between H100i and H150i but finally I went for this one due to bigger fan sizes (140mm over 120mm). Generally these series are quiet even in max RPM, but if you care too much about noise, the H115i or H150i is better option for you. With this product your CPU temperature will always be in healthy range with the minimum noise possible. There only two visual options missing in this product. 1-The rainbow color option on the pump (which is fixed in the recent released version named iCUE H150i) 2- The RGB option for the fans which is a loss in my ... MoreCorsair is without a doubt one of the best brands for the all in one (AIO) add on liquid cooler. Silent, very efficient

-Corsair link software getting better with age, and no more busted STM32 chips on these units too (I blew out two on different h100i's) -(probably) contains ethylene glycol mixture, which is wise for a few reasons - No opinion on RGB stuff. It's in a 600Q case. I'm over the appearance of it, the bottom line is performance and silence for me, and you'll get it with this AIO cooler. It's definitely a near zero audibility AIO, not even kidding, you won't even know this thing is there, and it will keep your temps as low as you'd like them. If you are in the game for the looks, it's very clean looking. I don't think it'd even be necessary to put this in push/pull with 6 fans total, it really is incredibly efficient. Zero RPM mode lets my CPU core temps (calc from v/i) get a little higher than I'd like. Between my h100i and the h150i pro, h150i is night and day. My block temp would continue to climb with the h100i max speed from cold until my CPU temps got too high (low 80s, deg c), never seemed to find equilibrium. The h150i pro could handle this thermal dissipation requirement 2.5x over without breaking a sweat, or getting loud. That being said, obviously you're going to hear a three-fan AIO wide open, but it's refreshingly quiet compared to all of Corsairs other coolers, which basically sound like turbines. For reference, my unit is mounted on the bottom of my case, in a pull configuration. That's bottom up, case substrate, rad, fans. Bottom line, regardless of other AIO's prices etc, you will definitely not be disappointed in this unit in any way, unless you have a tiny case, then, what are you doing ordering a 360mm rad? :)

The H150 Sho

The H150 Should only be for people in serious need of silence or crazy overclocking, and super picky people who want full control of the cooling. All the corsair H series work great but the only mid sized cases besides hand made ones that'd fit the H150 would be ones with three rows of 120mm fans on top with PSU under the motherboard on bottom (this should be obvious and expected but minimizes compatibility). It cools so well because the heat spread through the massive oversized radiator when in a more idle state the fans don't even need to run at all.. so its good for silence...but.. Besides the fact that your PSU is still gonna be loud (if not louder cause of motherboard heat going through it if in silent mode) the only reason for silence is when doing HD audio ... MoreThe H150 Should only be for people in serious need of silence or crazy overclocking, and super picky people who want full control of the cooling. Besides the fact that your PSU is still gonna be loud (if not louder cause of motherboard heat going through it if in silent mode) the only reason for silence is when doing HD audio work in those times you want no fancy LEDs or glass cases more like a solid steel workstation with no glass door to minimize noise. then usually those wouldn't be able to support this type of cooling or size and the LEDs become redundant at that point. But if your looking to build a long lasting gaming system with one of the latest cpus and overclocking it heavily the H150 is a good thing to get, just make sure it'll fit & case designed for PSU on bottom & 3x120mm fan holes on top. These pre-configured coolers generally last a very long time and this one likely more since the fan will rarely need to run much almost under any circumstances and can be fully controlled (i still highly suggest always having it on at a minimum). Its perfect for what its meant to be but i'm not a fan of redundancies.
