This switch was ideal for me in a couple of ways, my ps4 has terrible wifi signal, having it wired has made things so much simpler and fluid.My PC was on a USB wireless dongle, now fixed with the full speed of my internet thanks to being wired.I can even connect my TV so that I have the internet features..And the best part, it's all plug and play! Simple bit of kit that makes the biggest difference.I would definitely recommend for anyone with a few devices that would work ideally if wired up.

That thing is ridiculously large for the small 5-port switch they are selling. It is one of the smallest gigabit switches on the market, but I would be willing to bet the power brick is one of the largest for any desktop switch that does not have an internal power adapter. I have had no problems out of this product. It works as advertised, delivers the speeds advertised (I have tested this device using both synthetic and real-world benchmarks and am satisfied that it is giving me a max of about 105MB/s transfer speed). This switch is easy to install and straightforward to operate. I connected Port 5 to our internet router and then all the devices in our TV centre (TV, AppleTV, TelstraTV, BD Player). The device is small and easy to tuck away but if your cables are tight it can lift this light device. It can be screwed down if required. No fan, no noise, no heat. The LEDs show which devices are connected at Gigabit speeds (green) and which at 10/100 (yellow).
Have always had good experiences with D-Link products. Switch has metal case that is solid, no plastic like others. Bought this to run my main Internet cable to new Audio-Visual items and it does the job without being overkill. Great price, fast shipping. I'm extremely pleased.
This switch Can not handle gaming and streaming services. It may be decent for internet surfing. Not high speed as advertised.
I have many dlink products including some of there other cheaper by one $1 , 8 port switches in plastic housings . they all have glitches using with ip cameras, cameras disconnect or freeze up. I gave up. until I had this one in storage for a project in near future i try it out since it doing nothing anyway and :) smooth sailing, not one glitch no freeze ups and fast. like the metal case too. works great this is the only one I plan on using in future going to try the same model but in 8 port version . if it works as good as this one I will retire my HP pro managed switch since its aging and does have a few issues,
I was pleased with this since it worked right out of the box and provides the needed extra ports where needed. Another review comments about the "nice" wall mount - I want to clarify this is just a couple of drywall plugs and screws. The "nice" part is that the D-Link case includes keyholes for the screw heads. In my case, I use the stick-on rubber feet and set it on a bookshelf. A feature I like is having "local" port traffic lights, giving some assurance downloads are happening without going to the other room to look at the router.
