This is one of my go to primers. It’s works better than some more expensive brands. My skin is smooth like butter after using. I have large pores, it’s always been a huge insecurity for me. Nothing will literally make my pores smaller but this does actually help me lessen the appearance of them. It doesn’t take much of it to do the trick. Just use it on clean, hydrated skin, and apply makeup. My foundation and concealer set nicely with it. No caking or anything and unlike some primers, it doesn’t get sucked into pores throughout the day which can make your makeup look splotchy and even make pores MORE noticeable. Truly a great product with a great price tag too.

This was the first primer I ever tried and I still keep it in my makeup bag. This is a lightweight, thin, white cream that pumps out of the tube. You hardly feel it at first until you realize it's that silky. I have learned that it only takes the smallest amount to be effective. Give it a minute or two to set in before applying your foundation. This primer works well under my dewy foundations. I even apply it under my eyes because no matter what I do, my under eyes always look dry. This seems to help some. My dewy foundations look seamless and it makes for easy application. I recommend this primer especially if you use dewy foundations. I don't know that I'd recommend it for matte foundations. But it's up to you if you want to try. for a while this was one of my favorite primers, but I feel like over the years the formula maybe change the tiny bit. What I really like about it is that it has a cold sensation when you apply it to your face, but after a while of using it so much, you kinda don’t feel that anymore, which is kind of sad. It would’ve been nice to feel that cold sensation every single time you put on your face and not have your skin just get used to it. I also had a tiny problems with breaking out a little bit and acne while using it, but I like it for a long time, but it just made my acne a little bad . i have very very dry skin and no matter how much i exfoliate and moisturize, i am bound to have dry patches and weird flaky-looking spots when i put on my makeup (even if they weren’t there before). this is especially a problem because i prefer the matte look, so that can make it even drier. i always just sort of suffered through the dry skin, since moisturizer just never helped. Excellent for my mature skin

I have been buying the Poreless Primer and Mineral Primer from e.l.f. for years. I am a long time customer. In my mid sixties. The poreless primer is excellent for my dry patchy in places skin. I put a little on and spread it on my face. I let it sink in for a few minutes before any foundation. My foundation goes on smooth, and my pores are blurred, which is great. My skin looks airbrushed and I receive many compliments from women my age and much younger on my skin. I don’t pack on the makeup, just enough to still look natural. As far as smelling like “paint thinner” 😏, I think that’s a little over exaggerated. It does have a scent you may or may not like, but it wears down to a soft smell. Never bothered my skin. Wow, Fantastic Product

I bought this at Walmart, hoping to upgrade my foundation quality. I’ve always had extremely dry skin with very visible pores—meaning foundation has always made those features stand out immensely. I didn’t have high hopes for this product, as so many makeup products simply don’t work with dry skin. But this is seriously amazing. I put it on and it looked like I didn’t even have pores. It’s incredible. For those with dry skin like me I would recommend putting on moisturizer before this product, as it doesn’t moisturize your skin, just goes on top. But wow, I’ve always loved elf, but this truly blew me away. Fantastic job, I don’t feel like the odd one out who got left behind in the makeup game anymore.
