Elgato Facecam - Webcam - colour (Day&Night) - fixed focal - USB 3.0

This product's performance will very largely depend on the environment in which it's set up. For me, the image quality out of the box with settings on auto was what you'd expect out maybe a mid-range laptop webcam. But in fairness my desk is in a pretty challenging, low-light environment.A few tweaks in the Camera Hub software (which is nice, nothing mind blowing but does what you expect it to) and the addition of some direct light on me and the picture went from not great to actually very nice.I'd say this webcam will probably do a satisfactory job if you do nothing but plug it in and use as is, but if you have access to photo/video lights (I used a couple Neewer LED panels, but I'm sure even a cheap ring light would help a lot) or have your desk in front of a ... MoreThis product's performance will very largely depend on the environment in which it's set up. The only real giveaway is a lack of the natural bokeh that proper dedicated camera lenses have. Even then, the blur background effect is very good. It won't fool anyone into thinking you're on a mirrorless setup, but it's actually surprisingly really good at keeping *only you* in focus.This webcam is very much geared towards creators who likely have other resources to help get the most out of it. If you fall into that category, it's a steal. If not, it probably won't look as good as what you expect for the price.

The Camera/Facecam is Awesome, i absolutely recommend it. The mount is perfect for any monitor. The clarity and quality are great, i love that it comes with the lens cap to protect the lens and convenient for privacy. Streamimg with it is flawless and zoom calls are clear and the light sensors are really good, it works good in a low light setting, which is perfect for late night streams and gaming. The Full HD, Low Latency and The studio quality Lens is why i chose this, ever since i saw it at CES innovation rewards in 2022 where it won Honoree, I was finally able to get my hands on one and im definitely not going back to my old face cam brands. If they come out with a really good 4K edition in the future i will definitely upgrade, but the storage/upload files are too large to be practical, especially with streaming services/youtube, etc. 1080p will honestly be fine for a few more years, so ill enjoy every minute of it while i can. I recommend Downloading OBS studio though as your software since it does not come with its own built in program, trust me you will thank me for that especially if your a streamer.

Clearest camera of any that I've owned. It's so good that I turned around and bought another for my wife. Definitely download the software, Elgato Camera Hub, and upgrade the firmware by clicking on the 3 horizonal lines icon on the device section. That made the video quality better. It is much larger than the typical webcam because the lens is larger so it can capture more light and better image. Wants to be plugged into USB3 port. Only con, is the lens cap. Useless. Difficult to put on and take off. Manufactures should know after this much time on the market, consumers want a flip-up door. I taped a card that I flip up/down.
