I received a sample of Advanced Ceramide Lift and Firm Eye Cream from [brand:elizabeth-arden] and Tryitsampling in exchange for my honest review. It came in sealed and well packed. This product is a must to those who are looking to improve their eye area. This is powered by Ceramides, Tetrapeptides and Edelweiss Extract that will help you get that glow with lifted and firmer look. It features their age-defying 3D FIT Technology to Firm, Intensely Hydrate Tighten. Ceramides reinforce skin’s barrier while Tetrapeptides help strengthen skin’s density for visibly firmer skin. Red Algae somehow supports moisture retention and all-day hydration. The Edelweiss Extract is responsible in improving the look of crow’s feet and smooths wrinkles while restoring skin ... And the Niacinamide Blend improves the look of fatigued eyes and minimizes dark circles and puffiness. This eye cream is silky. It is indeed lightweight, and fast absorbing. No pilling. I would agree that this product helps hydrate the eye area reallywell. It provides hydration that hopefully will help diminish lines, crepiness, crow’s feet and puffiness overtime. I know it doesn't work like magic, but I trust this brand. No visible changes yet, but I will definitely continue using this eye cream. [brand:elizabeth-arden]

This cream would be perfect if it wasn't for two things. #1 the ingredient Petrolatum. Why Petrolatum is still used in high end creams is a mystery to me. Petrolatum is just a really cheap filler and moisturizer, the problem is that Petrolatum just sits on the skin and it wont allow the star ingredients to do their job and absorb into the skin. #2 the packaging, if Elizabeth Arden were to update their packaging to look more modern and aimed at the 35 to 45 demographic, they would definitely have more sells. The current packaging looks dated, too 1990's. The jar looks like for a 65 and up client. Maybe make the jar look more unisex. My eyes are very sensitive. I often tear after applying eye creams for the rest of the day. I’ve been using this eye cream before applying make up for 2 weeks now. My eyes have stopped tearing and I can comfortably wear my eye makeup all day. I love all the Prevage products. The formulation is thick but melts into my skin right away. Very moisturizing and really does help my skin by making wrinkles become less visible.

I have used Ceramide Lift and Firm Day Creme with SPF 30 for many many years and loved it. Since the SPF 30 is no more for some reason (even the Prevage version is gone) and my very fair skin needs a minimum of SPF 30, I thought I'd try this and bought two jars. Big mistake. I am NOT a fan. As soon as I opened the first jar I was put off by its appearance: heavy, cold cream white. Premier Intense Moisture is a misnomer as it takes effort to apply this, one must use more product to do so, and my face feels both gummy and oddly dry. Indeed, my face felt rough by late afternoon. Finally, the container is right out of a time machine from 1960, and not in a campy way. This product is just too expensive not to love it. I will return the unopened jar and the open jar if I ... I will return the unopened jar and the open jar if I can, and regretfully find another brand after all these years. I'm sad! My beloved Ceramide Lift and Firm slipped right on and my face instantly felt moisturized. Yes, it did make my face a bit shiny but that can't be avoided because of the sunscreen. I just now bought two of the last remaining jars on EA website, but this is just delaying the inevitable. Sigh.
I can honestly say that I did not know much about Elizabeth Arden cosmetics except for trying my Mothers lipstick years ago when I was a teen. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised when I found this little gem I love all sorts of cosmetics especially lipsticks. I thought I would try this thing they called Liptints. I was afraid it was going to be too sheer almost colorless like one of those medicated lip moisturizers you put on in the winter. I can tell you I will always have a tube of this liptint in Blush in my purse forever. The texture is unbelievable. It goes on smooth but not greasy. What I loved most about it was the way it took the natural shade of your lips then maybe amped it up a notch or two. Just a perfect shade for my complexion. The staying power was great ... I have got a sample of this after trying it on the Elizabeth Arden event. It is light formulation and absorbs so well into the skin not forming a film. Has a satin soft finish and leaves skin soft and hydrated. No shine. Love how lightweight it is yet so moisturizing. Fits perfectly well into my skincare routine (for normal to oily skin with huge pores, mid aged). Cleanse well, serum (EA retinol caps or peptide serum, both lightweight) then this moisturizer. Every day have good skin day when using these. Ingredients list is very extensive: Water/Aqua/Eau, Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Isostearyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Extract, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) ... Shea butter my skin adores as well as ceramides, that this cream is rich in. ALso plant extracts, vitamins, fatty acids, hyaluronic acid, and I feel as the cream makes my skin look healthier with time of use. Not as red and never rough. Just so supple and healthy, glowy and as if I use light foundation. Do not price scare you, overseas retailers sell if for way less than our Aussie department stores (almost 1/2 price).
I have used this product for years and love it. I use it with the serum capsules and it makes your skin feel so smooth and hydrated. I live in a very dry climate so it is a must here. It can be a little heavy if there is high humidity but still great for your skin. Especially good for mature skin. It is pricy but a little goes a long way and I think it is well worth the money for your skin long term. Good investment for healthy , happy skin. I'm a big fan or all of Elizabeth Arden and all of her products. Highly recommend this great quality line of skin care and cosmetics.
I really wanted to like this product and really wanted to give it a 5 star review but unfortunately I don't feel it's worth the money. I have always had very dry lips and suffered of chapped lips so I have tried so many products! I even have one lip balm in each purse and in each room of my house as I alway need to use one. I've been looking at this product for a while and thought it was rather expensive but I finally got myself to purchase it and high expectations. I've been applying it at bedtime, as directed, and I can't say I wake up to hydrated or soft lips. My lips are the same as they were before applying it. It's part of the Eight Hour mark but I definitely don't feel this product provides hydration/relief for that long. The consistency is similar to ... The consistency is similar to Vaseline, a thin film which unfortunately wipes off easily on touch or if you eat or drink anything. I've used better lip balms that stayed on the lips even after eating. I also agree with one of the comments I found here that it is hard to get out of the jar. The jar is pretty but tall and narrow and whilst it's easier to get the product when the jar is full, it will be difficult to get the product on your finger without going nail-first into the jar and getting the product under your nail once the height of the product begins to drop. The consistency is such that you need to rub your finger several times to get product, different to a cream which you'd touch lightly. Finally, the picture of the product is somewhat misleading, showing the product in the consistency of a cream, rather than a hard balm. I was interested in using a cream-based balm as I think that gets absorbed better into the lips, hence providing longer lasting hydration and results. I have a lot of EA products and some I love but unfortunately I won't be buying this again and can't recommend it.
