These days corporate machines are so locked down that its not feasible to use on as your personal machine, so I have two systems on my desk in "work from home" mode. This allows me to have a good ergonomic setup with my corporate system and then easily move it out of the way when I want to access my personal monitor. Easy installation, very solid feel, etc. This is my second Ergotron purchase, the first was about 12 years ago. That unit struggled with a very heavy (but within spec) panel, this one feels better built.

Super easy installation. Has given me twice more space on my desk and I am able to organise everything much better. You can adjust height and position to where you want it. Mine is on the end of my dining room table, so need to have it out of the way when it's time to eat. This tucks away perfectly. Highly recommend.

The range of motion on this monitor arm is fantastic. Getting the tension right takes a bit of trial and error, but once you do, it's super easy to adjust. At 5 ft 2, I am also able to pull it up for use while standing, but just barely.I did have some trouble getting the monitor to tilt up when setting it up. It was very tight and I was afraid I'd break something getting it loose. I watched a few set-up videos, then loosened the tension as far as it would go and gave it some muscle and it tilted into place.

I love all of Ergotron's products well built no complaints and the customer service is awesome. Just have an idea of what you want make sure you have your monitor info and they will do the rest. The only thing I wish is that I could get a coupon or discount next time 😆. I have spent so much money with them.
I bought my first LX monitor arm around 2011 and I love it. I just bought a new one (tall) for a second desk. This newer model is a lot slimmer looking than my old one, so I was worried that it wouldn't be able to extend fully and keep the monitor steady as I move my 27" monitor around a lot. But I'm happy to say that it is very stable/sturdy, despite its slimmer appearance. Great monitor arm!
As someone who does not have a huge amount of experience with monitor arms, this one was very easy to install and adjust. Basically, just adjust it as tight as you like without it being too tight to move. The documentation video shows which knobs or screws control which movement very clearly, which for me was somewhat unclear in the paper documentation. The paper documentation also mentioned that some adjustment might be hard to do without the monitor attached, but I think it would be better emphasized to attach the monitor before doing anything past mounting the base to the table as you really need to have the monitor already screwed in and attached before trying to fix the pitch/tilt of the arm.It is incredibly sturdy, and most likely you will not have to drill ... Feels very high quality in build materials and design. I am using two of these, one for a 27” monitor and one for a 32” monitor, both monitors are flat/not curved. Moving the arms around is very easy with the monitors attached and I was able to set it up how I liked without much effort.Great product and if you can afford it, I would highly recommend it, especially if you are mounting a heavy or expensive monitor within the 34” limit. Be sure to check out the HX model instead if you have something like an enormous G9 or other heavy ultrawide monitor.
I am shocked by the fact that this product has so many positive reviews, I bought this thinking it was a safe bet, I needed a monitor arm with a high vertical extension. Upon receiving the product, I was initially pleasantly surprised as the arms seemed heavy and of good quality. However the instructions were terrible, just a couple drawings that were extremely confusing with no directions whatsoever. I then realised that the entire weight of the arms and the monitor falls on the tiniest plastic ring called a "collar" which is fit around the pole and tightened with the smallest screw one can imagine. Upon tightening the collar with the tiny screw, it simply split in half, as it's a fragile plastic piece. It's unimaginable that the entire weight of these arms and a ... I've been using monitor arms for several years and I can say that this is absolutely the best one I have ever owned! I had been admiring the black and silver version of this model for years but the style didn't really match my home office decor. Once I saw the white version, I was sold! The price is pretty high for a monitor arm but it is worth every penny! You get what you pay for and in this case, you're paying for high quality and amazing design!
Well made, great flexibility, perfect for my desk which is only 24" deep.The only reason I didn't give it five stars, installation manual could be better. Some narrative to go with the pictures would be helpful.
Works great! Incredibly sturdy! hold my 32" monitor with no issue at all. Amazing customer service as well - I had some questions and got quick answers from a friendly person.
