When I saw this mini axe, I had to have one, was it worth the 70 year wait, absolutely. For small brush jobs and for a axe for your truck, buy this little indestructible jewel, you will not be disappointed. I cut 20 cords a wood each year, living in Oregonsoutback, This would have been a tool that never got left behind, in the truck, under the snowmobile seat or in the 6 wheeler bed, it would have always been with me.

This Estwing Axe is excellent quality. As a young guy I love knowing this will last decades. Estwing is up there with Snap On, KA-BAR and other USA makers that set the standard in their respective fields. Highly recommend this and Estwing's other tools. PS would love a leather handle chrome version of this axe = )
This is a great tool to use in close quarters. I call it the limb buster. Its shape and cuts both ways. When doing limb cutting this is the tool to start the clearing process. Thanks E-Bay !
I purchased this just because I love the estwing products. But after having it around, I'm not really sure that it has a place in the world. It's sort of a double bit hatchet. Usually with double bit axes you have two edges with different grind angles.. this isnt the case here.It's not balanced right to throw.The head is a bit on the small side.Kudos for this being indestructible like every other estwing product, though.I want to use it. I'm just not sure what I would use it for, that one of my other tools couldnt do better and with more functions.
Beautiful, well made "tool". Everyone should own two.... you have two hands.
I bought it for my son to use camping. He likes "tactical" style, but this is a solid piece of metal that will stand up to some real use. The edge was well ground on ours, and has survived some abuse. The handle is classic Estwing. If you like the style, its a good bet.
Great feel, nice balance. Easy to swing.But out of the box the edges look horrible. No consistent bevel. Many completely blunt and flat areas, rolled edges, etc. More like an estwing hammer to me.
This is a large axe comparitively. It fits the hand solidly. the inside points allow for cmere. The handle is long and I am an amateur, but I threw it and stuck it at 10 yards. If you are in good shape physically and love this type of weapon, then I recommend it to you. otherise, it is a large hawk.
