Amazing American made double headed axe. Makes carving out wood sculptures a breeze. Even Cutting up sticks or taking branches off anything. I must say its a great all rounder and nicely weighted its Perfect! Highly recommended tool a must have!

Great didn’t break when we threw it at the tree for half a day just what my son wanted it for practice ax throwing for competition so it’s light for young boy to handle and not to big that it falls out of his hand did pretty good on chopping logs also and so on must be 25 words or more to put on this review so here’s a little extra and I’m throwing in there just so I can post and everybody knows about this Ax

Estwing EDBA double bit black eagle short ax.

Like the look and feel of this modern tomahawk. It being a Estwing has very good quality. The only thing I would say they could improve on is the quality of the paint job. I found some chipping and surface rust in a few small sports on the head of the ax. It was not a big deal or deal breaker since I could fix the problem spots myself with some metal sand paper and touch up paint.

Bought a few months ago and I absolutely love it. Not only does it look super cool, its super sharp and chops really well. I have even used it as a throwing axe and it works great. Big fan of this Estwing

Tacticool Viking axe

I bought it for my son to use camping. He likes "tactical" style, but this is a solid piece of metal that will stand up to some real use. The edge was well ground on ours, and has survived some abuse. The handle is classic Estwing. If you like the style, its a good bet.

Very nice quality double bit hatchets.

Very nice double bit hatchet for the price. It looks like the forge had a few imperfections in the head striking under the paint, but this is only cosmetic. The leather handle, the stainless pommel plate, the heavy duty nylon sheath, the relative sharpness of the edges under the protective shipping coating, the weight and balance, all of it makes it a good little camp or survival hatchet. I ordered 2, 1 for my son (16) and oldest daughter (15) for their camping and hunting trips. They finally graduated from the single edged Coleman cheapo hatchets. Nice Christmas presents. Wish I had ordered one more for myself.

Where is the edge?

Great feel, nice balance. Easy to swing.But out of the box the edges look horrible. No consistent bevel. Many completely blunt and flat areas, rolled edges, etc. More like an estwing hammer to me.
