Estwing Hammer Claw 24oz Vinyl Grip

I bought this hammer to replace my old wooden shafted hammer. It did me well over the years, but it snapped at the tip as i was using the claw to remove some very tough nails from the wall.I chose this one as the weight felt a bit more hefty compared to the 20oz model which i felt would be more useful as i use hammers not only to bash nails in but for other odd jobs that require the use of something that needs a good whack!This certainly did the job of removing an old skirting board that was hammered in using wooden floor plank nails. i managed to get a few of the nails out using the claw without damaging or denting the claw at all! This is the older model of the Estwing 20 oz. rip hammer. I like these because the claw is thinner and better for pulling finish nails rather than the thicker newer model. Either way, both hammers are a good unit. They last forever.
