I have thick, curly, colour treated hair and have tried so many different straighteners. The platinum+ is by far the best straightener I've ever used. Most straighteners take about 20-30 minutes to get a good result in my hair but it now takes me about half that. Before this one, I'd used the ghd original for years and was skeptical if this was going to be any better, but I haven't picked up my original since I bought it. Gives gorgeous curls too!

So my 17 years old original ghd died. I was devastated. I explored lots of straighteners online, but finally decided to go back to a ghd. Apparently improved and better than the original. I had heard they weren't as good. But it is. It's fantastic! I've been using it almost every day for a week and it straightens better, and I can curl my hair with it, even better than my last one. No regrets, it's not cheap but I use it almost every day so it is really good value. Hopefully also lasts 17 years.

I came into the store to buy a replacement original GHD straightener. After 13 years, mine finally died. The wonderfully helpful and friendly Ads talked me through options, even gave me a chance to practice styling my hair with the Platinum version and I ended up buying this one, along with a few other items in-store too. Am very happy with the product purchase, moreso with the service I received. Very happy all round - a much more preferrable experience to online shopping. 10/10!

Ok so I never leave reviews, and I’ve only used it a couple times, but I’m blown away. I’ve never been able to curl using a straightener and this makes it so easy! It’s so smooth that you don’t even feel it when you clamp the hair. Once over and the hair is straight. I veered off GHD for a while because I had one that snagged the hair, but this one is unbelievable. 10/10 so far
I’ve previously had the ghd original and it lasted me for years. I did my research to be absolutely certain that getting the new ghd platinum+ would be the best choice for my hair. I am not disappointed. I have medium, naturally curly hair that is prone to frizz. The 185•C temperature works for me, as I don’t want a higher temperature for fear of damaging my hair. Highly recommended.
Absolutely love the GHD platinum I ordered from Oz Hair and Beauty! My hair has never felt softer and never been this easy to straighten. (I have long, thin but lots of it, curly hair naturally). Using this, my hair stays straight for days, compared to my old straightener where I’d need to touch up daily! The platinum+ is so easy to use, doesn’t burn my hair, straightens quickly and ever, and it’s very lightweight and comfortable to hold. I Definitely recommend ☺️
Loving this straightener. Heats up so quickly and the wider plates means less time using it. Having only one heat option is good for the hair but I feel like more heat settings would be useful on occasion. That’s the only negative.
Had be looking at a new straightener for a while after the dreaded red ring on my last Ghd. After considering many others I went with the Ghd platinum + and I couldn't be happier. I have long thick hair. Fast heat, two to three strokes per section and a lasting result with less heat and no pulling on any strands. Very happy with this purchase. Plus some good Morrocan oil to finish of the sleek shine look.
This was my third GHD, and third time unlucky. I use my irons to straighten and curl, so I like an iron I can do both with. I’ve never had any problems with any GHD, but this one was terrible. There was nothing wrong with the actual iron I bought, it’s the design of the range. It’s a beautiful design, but I find that I cannot curl with it (maybe it’s just me!) and that I have to go over my hair several times to straighten. It’s very uncomfortable to use because the ‘clamp’ doesn’t have enough spring in it so it’s very fiddly. For someone that’s used GHD’s for over 12 years, this has been my biggest disappointment from them. It’s so bad, that it’s just sitting in it’s box collecting dust. The first time I used this I thought it was very flimsy and it has a little gap which my hair gets caught in every time causing it to rip out. It doesnt straighten as well as my original ghd did and I really hate that it rips my hair out. Unfortunately I needed a straightener quickly and had to get someone else to get one for me meaning I did not get to see it before purchasing and the lady at the shop told my partner who got it for me that I could not return it once I had used it. Very disappointed in my purchase. I wish there was a money back offer if not happy with the product. I would 100% ...
