Absolutely stellar little kettle (well I did get the 1200ml version). I’ve not used another gooseneck kettle so have nothing to compare it to, but I have zero complaints and would recommend to anyone keen :)

This is my go-to kettle for my coffees & teas. I love the long neck & being able to pour it from a height to create increased energy. Water stays warm while resting on the hotplate for a last minute top up. Looks elegant, feels great to use, & copper has a good energy together with my filtered water.
Would not recommend this tea kettle for the following reasons:- The rubber handle guard does not coat the handle completely and is not stable, which has resulted in slight burns to palms & fingers- There is no whistling or any notification that the water is ready- The tea kettle does not contain the water and will spew it all over the stove when it is boiling- The spout is situated at an angle rather than straight in line with the body of the kettleI cannot believe this product is priced so highly for such a poor functioning tea kettle. We received this as a wedding gift, but I wish we had returned it for something worth it's dollar value!

The pour spout on the Hario Buono is very nice and provides a controlled and even pour over anything (it's great for loose leaf tea, too!).I have a couple gripes, but they are definitely small, and I do not regret buying this kettle.When the water starts to boil, it forces its way through the pour spout and gets all over the stove top. I've tried filling the kettle less, but it doesn't seem to help.The wooden knob on the lid gets too hot to handle. This little kettle was recommended by one of the team members at AB. It works great and looks very cool, I love it! I think it would be particularly suitable for an induction stovetop as the base is on the smaller size and it may not fit every gas hob. It is the first goose neck kettle I have used, I like how it pour gently over the tea leaves. And not sure if it designed to do this but the lid kind of tinkles when the water boils.
After using the Stagg EKG for 2 years, I tried this. I do a lot of Chemex. The higher flow rate is very smooth and I have gotten better extraction because of it. I plan to use this on a woodstove someday and will probably have to drill out one of the holes for a temp probe. Well worth the $185
Initially wanted the Stainless Steel model. But it was sold out at the time. The copper was on sale so I went with that. Purchased product to achieve better results with my Chemex. I was skeptical at first. However, my expectations were greatly exceeded. First off, it is made in Japan. Secondly, the quality is impeccable. It even looks nice just sitting on the stove. The control of the pour was a game changer for me. And it does not make any loud noise when a boil is reached. This is great for making pour over coffee at 345 am. Very happy.
The kettle is well made of good material, but there are some pits on it when I received it. I thought they might be caused during the long way international transportation because the package is too soft and weak to give enough protection.
