This picture was from when I was phasing his old food out with Hills, and he spent ages picking out the pieces of Hills to eat and leaving the old food! I couldn't get him to eat any of the original food; he loved the new ones so much! Thankfully the transition went smoothly anyway, and he's doing great. Im glad to have a brand I can trust and one that my dog actually enjoys eating for once. Its really expensive, but I think the peace of mind Is worth it.

My dog loves this food and seems more energetic and happier since she's been eating it. With bigger kibbles, my dog likes to play with her food and drag it all over the living room. These kibbles are nice and small and she eats the food up right in the bowl. She has never had food that she ate all of each time I give it to her. five stars!

- Good: my 12 year old chihuahua/rat-terrier loves this food, and it sits well with his sensitive stomach. - Good: I'd love to buy more for him at the drop of a hat - Bad: It's been "out of stock" since May of 2020. Tried other flavors and even brands, but all aren't as nice to his stomach. Resorted to making my own food to get by. - Bad: Hills customer service can't say "why" it's out of stock. Is it made in China and they can't get it overseas? Why would COVID-19 affect particular dog food production in such a manner? - @HillsPet, please be up front and tell your customer base what's going on. Our senior, 8 lb mini-Pinscher was having a lot of digestive issues. She also is missing several teeth, so large, dry kibble doesn't fly. This kibble is very tiny and she can eat it as is, although we normally soak it for her. She is very regular now, and no longer has diarrhea. She has gained a little weight feeding the recommended amount, so adjusting that. Definitely will keep ordering, the subscription price through Chewy is excellent!
I recently adopted a very elderly, disabled rescue. She has few teeth and those are not good, but she has a good appetite. I mix these very small "pellets" with quality grain-free ground food and add a little warm water to soften the mix. The old girl eats this 3x/day. She does not seem to be putting weight on like I had hoped, but her digestive tract is working normally.
I have a very healthy 12 year old mix dog that I feed Hills Diet Senior Vitality small bites. She was adopted at 5 months from a shelter with mange and was severely malnourished. She improved rapidly after a few weeks but always had wiry hair texture on her back. I noticed when we switched to Senior Vitality a few years ago her coat really improved. Looks smooth and thick. Very pretty now.She is active with our puppy, prances when she walks, and still goes easily up and down stairs. We feed her small bites and she seems to like it and chews it easily.
My little senior dog was always a good eater. We had stayed on the same brand of food for years without an issue. Recently she wouldn't eat. Made a trip to our veterinarian and tried another brand. No success. Tried several types and kinds of food. No success. Finally read about the Hill's Science Diet for small senior dogs and ordered it from Chewy. Success! She loves it no complaints! She seems more energetic and eager to eat. I will order this food again as soon as the bag is half full. Thank you.
Started looking for a small bite food when we got our small Yorkie 3 years ago. Found the perfect food in Hills’ son the Chewy’s site. Then wanted to try a small bite for our 13 year old small Schnauzer who was having stomach issues. Again we found the perfect food with Hill’s (>7 yrs. Sensative Stomach small bites) this food was perfect and we had no more problems. We switch out buying the small bites sensitive stomach and small bites senior vitality. Absolutely love the small bites. My daughter uses the small bites for her Papillon and her Schnauzer as well they love it. We are believers in the small bites and love getting it delivered to us it is worth the shipping not to have to carry the bags around and out of the stores. : )
I had some live chat Chewy help getting an address correct while we were staying out of state with a family health crisis (and brought our dogs) - they were awesome!! And the delivery was much faster than anticipated. Excellent service!! Our older dog eats this food and is very picky. He's continued to like this one for a couple of years now.
The dog I bought this for is a 16.5 year old Yorkie. He was fully toothless when I adopted him 6 years ago. He was on Instinct (grain free, but switched to with grain a few months ago), but I decided to try a different brand. I chose this variety since it has tiny kibble and is formulated for senior dogs. My dog loves it. Ate it without hesitation, and actually ate it more willingly than he did the Instinct kibble. I had starting to wet the Instinct kibble back in January since he was having a harder time eating, but I haven’t needed to do that once with Hill’s. Happy to have given this a try and even happier that my little old man is eating better and easier.
