It’s a great idea, with huge potential indeed! But it fails on the most important thing. Cleaning it afterwards. Not so much for the slicing or grating, which is nowhere near the more appropriate Magimix food processor. I chopped almost two kilos of tomatoes, and I can’t get rid of the skin on the chopping attachment, or on the lid. I’ve tried even the dishwasher twice! I put it to rest on one side and then, put it back in with another wash load on the other side, to see if it would get rid of it, but still unsuccessfully. I love KitchenAid, but this attachment, compare to many other, it’s an epic fail.

I've been trying to stick to a low carb diet the last few months and that's pretty much all fresh prepared stuff with lots of veggies.The problem is I hate chopping veggies, particularly onions, when I get home late from work and just want my tea which means I usually end up with a takeaway curry.I bought my partner a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer a few months ago for her birthday and it's brilliant, strong, powerful and looks good.This attachment allows us to prepare veggies & salads quickly and easily and stick them in the fridge so they're ready to go when I get in.Just hope my local Indian don't go out of business without my regular visits

Since purchasing this, I have been using regularly as makes veg prep so much easier. This makes short work of making chopped salads and Russian salad. Also shreds cabbage really effectively. Just takes a little time to get used to attaching and using the different blades. Taking apart for cleaning is also quite straight forward.

Great quality blender, glass and cast iron. Really solid. Perfect size for sitting on worktop. Easy to use, range of functions and great blending action. Only quibble is no tamper included as described.Fast and efficient delivery and good customer service. Thank you
It is just what I expected great quality ,like everything else that Kitchen Aid produces and presents. It is very easy to use and replaces other individual hand held items which I had to work. With this addition I have only one unit that does the same job’s for me , and all I have to do is feed the machine and watch the job done with ease. It’s so much easier and cleaner just fantastic i love it.👍👍👍
Excellent attachment and i wonder how I did without it. I does exactly what it says it should. Wonderful for shredding eg Cole slaw. Chopping for soups makes it a doddle. Easy to put on and to wash. Arrived very quickly and very good price. Would recommend

I was notified of each step of the packages journey and my item was in perfect condition. I bought this to replace heavy, bulky and space taking equipment. This attachment is compact, light and simple to use ( once you carefully read all of the instructions). I've only used it once do far, to grate a block of cheese. Super fast tho it stuck slightly to the feeder tube as it wasn't a hard enough cheese. My own fault but I couldn't wait to try it 😁. If I need anything for my kitchenaid again, I would look here first just because everything was straight forward and had my item within 2days !Love the kitchenaid attachment! I’ve only used it once, tried dicing some veg. It worked well, but sweet potato seemed too hard and it jammed! It appears that the power of the motor needs to be taken into account. I also cut myself on the blade; it’s VERY sharp! The unit itself and storage box for blades are huge, so allow for storage. It seems well made, easy to clean and well designed.
Got this at a great price, smaller than expected but that was a bonus as it doesn't take up much space. easy to fit and the best part is the sliced and diced items drop out the bottom so you don't have to constantly stop and empty a container, its also a LOT cheaper than the Kitchenaid stand alone processor. Handy box with selection of blades..Have now used several times and it works well. The slot food goes down is only 6 cm x 4cm so a potato needs to be cut into 4 length ways to fit. You will need to play with blades to work out the best one for the item you're cutting. At the end of the job only 3 parts to rinse and its clean.
