Before buying this mini KitcheAid, I read the few negative reviews and was unsure about the performance.Buying a full-size one was out of the question as I have a very small kitchen and countertop space. But I was worried that the tools would leave flour at the bottom of the ball after the mixing. All I can say is wow. There is no flour left anywhere in the bowl, but the mixing and is incredibly thorough. All I can say is: give it time. For the first very long minutes, it looks like flour will be left on the sides and at the bottom of the bowl, but please hold your nerve and give it a good ten minutes to finish the job, resisting the urge to use a spatula. From the way the tool fits into the machine, to starting the mixing and lifting the tool, it's all mechanical. Only the mixing itself is electrical. I absolutely love it.So, so glad I went for it.Oh, and I thought the grey would look cold and industrial, it does, but it matches a grey kitchen, so somehow it fits perfectly into the colour scheme.A special tool for a lifetime hopefully.

As an older, slightly arthritic 'novice' baker, unsure whether I really could justify buying another 'gadget', but finding my old hand-held mixer too difficult, I started out with a cheap stand mixer; affordable, attractive and small, but very poor quality. So I moved right upscale to KitchenAid, hoping that the mini Artisan Stand Mixer would fit in my small kitchen. Finding the Empire Red model totally irresistible, I moved things around and made it fit - and I have been absolutely delighted with it so far. It's so gorgeous to look at (I keep polishing it!) and easy to use AND it works beautifully - to date, the only recipes that haven't worked out well have all been down to my beginner's errors. I will almost certainly be hoping for at least one add-on for my next birthday!

Purchased a refurbished mini Artisan mixer and have used it a few times to make buns. Itās my first stand mixer and Iām pretty happy with the results. The shipping was delayed by a few days but no fault of Kitchenaid. Packaging was sufficient and product arrived with no scratches/dents. I took one star off because there was a thick white substance in the crevice of the mixer when I removed it from the box. It kind of resembled the texture of thick icing or some chemical compound that hadnāt yet dried (see photo). I wiped off as much as I could with a paper towel.Originally, I purchased a 6qt professional on sale but felt it was of overkill for the amount of baking I do. (I make single batches of small buns and cookies or a loaf of bread whenever I bake.) I ended up returning the professional unopened after doing more research about how the mini Artisan handled bread dough. It didnāt struggle with my dough and instead of hand kneading for 10-15 minutes, I was able to clean and prep some more. It takes up very little counter space and its height allows it to slip underneath cabinets/shelves easily. The weight makes it fairly portable so you can also store it elsewhere if needed.Overall, I feel like this little guy was a great purchase considering that I wasnāt sure how much Iād use it (hence why I went the refurbished route). Itās at a great price point and Iām glad I purchased it directly from Kitchenaid as there was the 30-day return policy and a 1-year warranty (vs purchasing it used from somewhere/someone else).

I purchased a refurbished countertop mixer as a Christmas present for my youngest child. It arrived ahead of schedule in perfect condition. I have ordered refurbished kitchen aid mixers many times and am always please with the appearance and how they run. I was especially happy with my purchase this time because it was exactly what I wanted and it came with the bowl, all the attachments in a Kitchen aid box. I had been accustomed to professional level refurbished mixers that more or less come as they are, which is communicated during the purchase process and understood. I had been accustomed to professional level refurbished mixers that more or less come as they are, which is communicated during the purchase process and understood. Child #3 is overjoyed, she didnāt know she was to receive one and truthfully wasnāt sure she āneededā a mixer. I spent Thanksgiving in her kitchen, she absolutely needed one. This was my primary reason for shopping refurbished, the investment had to match the interest level. She tried it out on Christmas day, called home to announce it took less than 8 minutes to mix cookie dough and she feels so much more confident about trying to make āthingsā. Today is December 29th, we have shared many, many recipes in four days.I hesitated about the size, this one is a 3.5 quart, but she loves how compact it is, and she can/should make smaller batches than I do, of everything. I was surprised at how quiet this mixer is, I even had her call me back while mixing so I could be sure it wasnāt working too hard when in use. It is noticeably quiet! Of course she is excited about all the attachments she can purchase, and that they will still fit larger mixers, there are so many options available for her mixer to grow with her family.Gifted mixer #8 āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø
I'm a new baker. I got the mini because I didn't want to spend a huge amount of money before knowing how much I'll be using a mixer. I've only used it once so far, but it worked well. I really love how lightweight it is. It's super easy to get it in and out of the pantry and on the counter. It feels like just another easy step in getting out all the ingredients. I've used a bigger mixer, and that feels like a real hassle to move around. The small mixer feels so easy in comparision. My one note is that because the bowl is small, if you're trying to add ingredients while the mixer is running, really the only place to shake them is right in the middle of the bowl, on top of the attachment. It's the only space where you can be sure you're none of the ingredients will fall outside the bowl. It just means you have to wipe off the top of the attachment after every time you put in ingredients, but I imagine for someone who bakes a lot that would get annoying. But if you just bake occasionally, I think the mini is a great mixer. You just can't beat how lightweight and portable it is.
After mulling it over for a year and my hand whisk dying we finally got the mini. We only have a small kitchen and i needed something that was lighter. This is perfect. So far ive made 3 cakes and pancakes, so much easier especially with the heavy mixes. It doesnt have the dip in the bowl where everything sticks and ends up as a sticky lump (my previous mixer did this which is why i got rid). I bought the flex paddle which is what i mainly use for mixes as bundt cakes can be extremely heavy. My only disappointment is that you cant get the pretty bowls with the mini and i only had a few colour choices. I had my eye on a few bowls mainly the copper ones. Please do more choice in the future.
I bought this mixer this month and was so excited when it came so promptly. It is the perfect size for us as an older couple and would also suit a small family or single person. It has so much power for any job. Would liked to have seen another bar in the flat beater (similar to the larger models) as the mix sometimes gets stuck in the middle and just turns instead of mixing but this is only so in stiffer mixtures and easily fixed with a couple of scrape downs. Everything else works a treat. Would also have liked a smaller bread bowl to suit this model as an optional accessory. Will fit most other accessories though.
I treated myself to the KitcheAid stand mixer for Christmas after years of debating about if I should get one. I absolutely love the look, matt black. Looks so great on the bench.Anyway, I had all intentions of baking my own bread, making home-made pizza, cakes and muffins for 2023! Turns out, I'm a terrible cook, even with the best equipment money can buy. My bread didn't rise, my pizza was floppy and I havnt even tried a muffin mixture yet.The machine is fantastic, no issues there. I did managed to shred some cooked chicken, which didn't make anyone sick. I'll keep trying, hopefully I'll have a beautiful baked loaf one day to post.....but unfortunately not this time.
I have always wanted a kitchen aid mixer but my kitchen is really small. When i saw they made a smaller version, i jumped at it. All the attachments you can use, and a couple I purchased was exciting to me. I got the juicer attachment and the meat grinder attachment.Well the 3.5 qt still too big to put out on my counter but i have a nice cupboard to put it in so itās pretty handy. The most use Iāve gotten out of is the meat grinder. As for making anything like muffins or a cake, the unit is very uncomfortable. The beaters for this mixer are how big they need to be but if you have to add an ingredient, (like alternately adding flour and liquid), you have to stop the mixer and lift up the head. There is so little space be tween the head and the edge of the bowl. As a matter of fact, just today i was making muffins and when i tried to crack an egg in the creamed butter and sugar, i accidentally dropped part of the shell into my dough. Also, you canāt scrape the sides of the bowl while the unit is running. Itās more of a pain than a convenience. While Iāve not done it, the power doesnāt seem strong enough to whip cream. And the beater youād do it with is really hard to clean without using your fingers. The meat grinder is great, although it seems a shame I have this appliance that can conveniently only that. I had such high hopes.I wouldnāt recommend this for someone who likes a mixer to make cakes and muffins.
I received this as a birthday gift from my friends, and I love using it to make cakes. The matte black colour looks very nice, and the size fits nicely in my small kitchen. It is also great to have all three attachments as my friend has the same size but purchased it a few years ago, which only has 1 attachment. They also got me an extra bowl which is very useful when you mix two things for a cake but no need to worry about washing it right away. The only down point that I can think of is the mixing attachment has a gap to the bottom of the bowl, which means I need to stop and scrap the mixture to ensure it mix well, and it normally needs a few times to ensure it mixes well.Other than that, I love this mini kitchen aid!
