THE OIL AND EXFOLIATING CRYSTALS COMBO IS GENIUS!!! This is my favorite exfoliator by far and doesn’t irritate my desert-worthy dry skin. My skin feels comfortable but clean after exfoliating. It instantly looks brighter and feels so amazingly smooth! The milia under my chin is almost gone now too. I have extremely dry, flaking (damage left by eczema), eczema-prone, and sensitive skin. I usually bite the bullet when I try new products because there’s a high chance my skin will freak out! But this one is a winner!!!The exfoliating sugar/sea salt crystals aren’t too rough but still very effective. The oil feels very comfortable and luxe and smells like their Renewal Oil. The oil itself doesn’t feel too thick and washes off easily. It protects my dry skin when I ... MoreTHE OIL AND EXFOLIATING CRYSTALS COMBO IS GENIUS!!! It also makes me clean my face more thoroughly - making sure that I get everything off. The ingredients list is wonderful as well. I absolutely love, love, love this this! It’s pricey but worth the results and comfort!!!

HOLY GRAIL! The way my skin feels when I use this is amazing. I have large pores and blackheads that if I don’t manage get nasty. I noticed a difference with this right away and my skin feels really fresh and rejuvenated. The smell isn’t that bad, it’s definitely a more natural smell that doesn’t feel artificial.

The only scrub I can use. Keep in mind that you need to use it dry though. The moment you rinse your face with water, the scrub will melt, and the oil will moisturize the skin. That's why this is the most comfortable scrub that i can use on my dry sensitive skin. No other scrub can do this. You also need very little product. So even it's very expensive for a scrub, it will last a very long time.

First off, just as a warning, this is in a terrible package, the lid is so heavy and never goes on right and as people mention, this is NEON yellow, in no way should you use a light colored wash cloth or towel to remove/dry face after, they will be stained-Ok, the good...I use this as my morning face wash, I use it ever so gently and slowly massage around on a dry face yet with damp fingertips-I feel it preps my skin for the other products-Face is not greasy after, no weird film nor do I break out or have issues-Sometimes I even use at night after the Cleansing Lotion, again I go really soft and slow with this scrub so no issues using 2x a day-I just wish they would stop with the heavy lids on some of their products, means nothing and doesn't make it more ... MoreFirst off, just as a warning, this is in a terrible package, the lid is so heavy and never goes on right and as people mention, this is NEON yellow, in no way should you use a light colored wash cloth or towel to remove/dry face after, they will be stained-Ok, the good...I use this as my morning face wash, I use it ever so gently and slowly massage around on a dry face yet with damp fingertips-I feel it preps my skin for the other products-Face is not greasy after, no weird film nor do I break out or have issues-Sometimes I even use at night after the Cleansing Lotion, again I go really soft and slow with this scrub so no issues using 2x a day-I just wish they would stop with the heavy lids on some of their products, means nothing and doesn't make it more glamorous b/c something is heavy-
I have been using La Mer for over 12 years. I am 41 (42 in July) and always hear from others that my skin looks flawless. I have NEVER had any work done, i.e. botox, etc. I am aging gracefully. This product helps with removing the dead skin on my face and leaves it refreshed and polished! First clean your face, then scrub your face. After you can apply tonic or miscellular water before you start the rest of your add ons i.e. treatment lotion, serum, eye cream, original cream (my preference) which will seal in all the benefits. Then your lip volumizer and finally lip balm to seal in your lips. I do NOT work for Estee Lauder (La Mer). Just believe in the products. The refining facial is a light scrub. It is like using a sugar scrub paste with the la mer Renewal Oil in it (that is what the consistencylooks like). I still prefer the original scrub (the Refining Facial) better. Since La Mer discontinued that product, this is the next best thing.
I've been working from my dining room since March 11/20. Been through a lot- Zoom happy hours; Tiger King; watching people make sourdough, Zoom yoga with an instructor teaching from his kitchen on the upper east side of Manhattan, my brother-in-law passing away from COVID 19 in July and I couldn't go to the funeral; standing on my porch for 8minutes 40 seconds every evening for a week in remembrance of George Floyd's murder; gently saying, "no thank you, I can't help you understand privilege, but there are some great resources out there"; training alone and running alone in a virtual 5k race; the groundhog saw his shadow; a Christmas morning bombing in my city; an insurrection in my country - on my birthday; what am I missing? Yes, I deserve this face scrub - I ... MoreI've been working from my dining room since March 11/20. Yes, I deserve this face scrub - I mean, "replenishing oil exfoliator". It is worth every penny because IT MAKES ME HAPPY!
Not a fan of the smell but it actually works. Very good texture for sensitive skin which leaves the skin soft and moisturized and cleans pores after every wash. I use once or twice a week. Will I repeat it? most likely no because of the higher price in compare to other high end skin product brands which sell face scrubs for 35-40$.
This product works! I use many diff lamer products so adding this into my routine I wasn't expecting to see such fast results. After first use my face was instantly silky smooth and glowy(before I applied any serums or creams). The consistency is on the thicker side and you def feel the salt and sugar in the mix. It's not too abrasive to my dry, sensitive skin. But enough to give a fresh look and feel .Using it on damp skin will give more of an exfoliant effect, vs wetting it before applied, causing the product to be more creamy and more polishing (gentle). My only complaint is the smell it's not classic lamer, (not a fan of the smell of this) but with the ingredients in this product it's a small price to pay up for the results. I find using this product paired with the regenerating or hydrating serum vs the contour serum works best to give an extra hydrating effect.(followed by lamer soft cream).
I was gifted this exfoliant and when I finished the first tube I had to buy myself the second tube bevwuse everytime I use this product (once a week) my skin feels amazing because it buffs away all the dead skin whilst adding back the moisture. My skin not only looks plump and glows but it’s also smooth. Love this product.
This physical exfoliant is one of the most underrated products on the market. I have a love-hate relationship with how amazing La Mer skincare is—obv because of the price. This product is the key to baby soft skin and is worth every penny. It’s gentle and nourishing on my sensitive skin, replenishing my skin with those delicious oils while polishing the upper layers. A little goes a long way.I just turned 30 and this is not something I would have used or enjoyed in my 20s; however, I know this is going to be a staple in my routine going forward as moisture and cell renewal becomes more important as my skin matures. If you’re on the fence, try a sample on your hand in-store and feel how incredible your hand feels for the rest of the day… now imagine that for your ... MoreThis physical exfoliant is one of the most underrated products on the market. Also, the tube will most likely leak on your first use, so be ready to catch those precious golden oils ;)
