The LARQ Bottle uses PureVis UV-C purification technology to neutralize up to 99.9999% of harmful, odor causing bio-contaminants and improve the quality of your water no matter where you are. Self cleaning and worry free, this super portable water bottle intelligently activates every 2 hours or at the push of a button to bask the water and inner surface of the bottle in purifying UV-C light. This mercury-free water sanitization system doesn't rely on any wasteful filters you have to replace constantly. The UV-C wavelength emitted from the UV-C LED located in the cap is optimized at 280nm to eliminate bio-contaminants such as E. coli— breaking down their DNA before they have a chance to spread. This UV-C LED chip is small, more energy-efficient, and more economical compared to traditional mercury-based UV technology. Plus it's powered by a USB-rechargeable battery that provides up to 1 month of regular use per charge. When your battery is low, your cap will blink yellow before and after a cleaning cycle to alert you to charge it! PureVis features two modes: Normal Mode is a 1-minute cleaning cycle perfect for daily use if your water is from a trustworthy source. In Adventure Mode, the LARQ Bottle delivers a higher dose of UV-C you can activate by double-tapping the button on the cap. This 3-minute cycle is a good choice if you’re not sure about the quality of your water or you just want extra peace of mind.

Beautiful bottle but little confusing on how to use it? Especially for a beginner like me

So I wish there was a video to visually learn how to use the Larq bottle. Cuz I am a visual learner, I understand things better if I see it step by step. That's all I have to say about it. My only complaint was I wish there was a teaching video for beginners on how to use the Larq bottle to fully comprehend. Cuz I was totally lost at the beginning. I struggled at the beginning to be completely honest. Please make an introduction video about Larq bottle and teach us how to properly use it. That will be very helpful. Overall, I'm really loving the PureVis bottle. I held off reviewing it until I'd spent some time with it (I've had it for about 3 months now and I I use it daily and I'm pretty picky with how my water tastes). I did some home "tests" between the PureVis bottle compared to other double walled vacuum sealed water bottles that don't have the UV light technology to see if there was a difference. In general, I find that most vacuum sealed insulated bottles are better at keeping water tasting fresher and less stale than any plastic/non-insulated bottles. In general, I find that most vacuum sealed insulated bottles are better at keeping water tasting fresher and less stale than any plastic/non-insulated bottles. With the PureVis, I have found that it keeps the water tasting fresher for longer and overall the stinky water bottle smell is moderately decreased even compared to other vacuum sealed insulated bottles (without the UV light). That being said, the PureVis, if used about 3-4x/day does eventually accumulate a smell despite the UV light. So I wouldn't say it's completely stink free but its better than those without the UV light. I'm not sure I would say that the water itself "tastes better" purely with the UV light as some people have mentioned. I think a filter is needed for that difference in taste (at least with the tap water in Alberta). I also prefer the insulated version to the non insulated (which I also have) as I like having cool refreshing water and it does make a difference during the day!Cons: I wish the bottle came in a bigger size (at least 1L which the non-insulated ones come in) as I have to fill it up multiple times a day and I like having cool water to drink. I also want to take it into the backcountry and having a larger capacity would be nice. I'd be ok having a bigger water bottle to carry around as I wouldn't have to fill it up as often. It's also quite slippery and I'm definitely afraid to drop it. I bought the Active Cap add-on in the end, and it helps though I'm afraid to hold it exclusively by the cap for longer periods as other reviewers have mentioned that it eventually stretches and the bottle has fallen out. The non-insulated version, with the silicone sleeve is much easier to carry and not as slippery. I also wish the cap came in other fun colours as it does take away a bit from the nice aesthetic of the bottle.Customer Service: I had a small issue with the first bottle as the UV light cap was malfunctioning. LARQ was responsive and after sending some pictures and video to demonstrate the defect, they replaced my bottle and I'm happy to say the new ones if working great!Overall: I love the UV light technology with the vacuum sealed insulated bottle and from my own personal tastes/experience, it does make a difference in keeping the water tasting fresher and less stale for longer. I also like that in a pinch, I can fill it up from a less desirable source and the UV light will do its magic (I've taken it on day hikes in the mountains to try and it's worked well in adventure mode). I'd recommend the Active Loop or the sleeve to help carry it because it is slippery though it would be nice if it actually came with the bottle itself!

I obviously can no longer take the risk of getting sick. I decided to try this bottle system for water sanitation, I bought two. I have been here two weeks without issue! Amazing! The only problem that I had is after a minor drop of the bottle it created a 1/16th nick in the bottle cap. The pliable top is now delaminating. It does, at least for now still work. I would expect for the price it should be more durable, especially for most intended uses.

Great concept BUT
17 January 2023

I was very excited to try this product and absolutely love the concept of this bottle. It really delivers on eliminating that terrible ā€œbottle smellā€ which is amazing!Unfortunately there are two major flaws which has meant I don’t use this very often.1) The insulated version is WAY too heavy (on its own already and even more so when filled with water) making it not practical to bring around - the purpose of this bottle! If I’m at home, I can just wash it. The ā€˜sports’ version (non insulated) which my friend has is much lighter which I would buy instead if I were to do it again.2) Due to the material the bottle chips and dents very very easily which takes away from the great design aesthetic as the metal under the paint comes through.Overall - great product ...Ā MoreI was very excited to try this product and absolutely love the concept of this bottle. Great concept, but functional details fall short
10 January 2023

Love the concept of this so I got it for my husband's 2-week trip. A couple of functional features that I think are missing:1. We couldn't figure out how to tell percentage of battery left.2. It wasn't clear whether this UV light was strong enough to destroy prions. So we weren't sure if this bottle was sufficient to make all water drinkable.3. My understanding is that it was supposed to automatically cycle every 2 hours. But we didn't notice it working other than when we manually turned it on.4. For this price point, I expected the container to be dishwasher safe.

I bought the 25oz PureVis. The small size is inconvenient and the trade off for a bigger size is you lose the double wall insulation. You could fill it up to the full 25oz but you won’t be able to use the cap properly unless it’s at bout 20z at the fill line so you don’t get a full bottle of water advertised. I had issues with the cap being stuck in safety mode but I was sent a replacement. It’s only good if you know there’s a good water source but you question it’s cleanliness. While hiking I would recommend the Filtered Bottle. Same for if you’re using tap water at home. So I quickly lost interest within a week. Love this bottle but we'll see how it lasts.
19 September 2023

I love this bottle so far but after using it for a bit there are some things I'm anxious about, which is that the micro USB hole (first of all why not USB-C?) is completely uncovered - not abnormal but this is a product that is going to be near an awful lot of water, so you'd think they would have at least thought to add a silicone cover to protect the charging port. It also has a lot of unnecessary luxe factor, so it's moderately annoying that they're wasting so much money on this fancy packaging when it could easily knock $20 off the price to be more sustainable about it. I'm also curious about the studies behind this and how they were done. UV-C can't even go through glass, are we sure that it goes through several inches of water enough to destroy the organisms ...Ā MoreI love this bottle so far but after using it for a bit there are some things I'm anxious about, which is that the micro USB hole (first of all why not USB-C?) is completely uncovered - not abnormal but this is a product that is going to be near an awful lot of water, so you'd think they would have at least thought to add a silicone cover to protect the charging port. Nifty Bottle, Just Not For Us... Maybe
30 March 2022

I want to start by saying the bottle is a great idea and I'm sure others will have a different experience. We purchased the bottles with the intent to have better tasting and odorless water. However, my wife and I are disappointed with our bottles. We chose this brand/bottle because the idea of self-cleaning was nifty and the testimony's from other buyers seemed high. Our bottles arrival date switched (which was okay) so we had to wait a bit longer; however, the real issue came to the actual use of the bottle. We thought it might be our tap so we bought a water dispenser and we still had/have issues (I use the water bottle to test if this is still an ongoing issue)! I'm sure this isn't happening to all that purchase the bottle but if someone is looking for issues then let this be one. As a design note, why haven't you guys added a fill line within the bottles? I feel that would make a lot of sense considering in the instruction pamphlet it says to the fill line. My wife and I checked in both bottles, **** my mom checked there isn't a fill line in sight! Not mad just asking for the next person. Have a great day!

I was eying this bottle for a while, but I couldn't justify the full price. So I was really happy when the price dropped for the Black Friday. I got the smaller size because the large one didn't come in all the fun colors and I kind of regret it now, I feel like the bigger size would work better for my needs. I'm a flight attendant and I appreciate I don't have to carry bottles of water for my hotel layovers and I drink tap water, cleaning it in this bottle. I'm still wondering if it's safe to use the bottle with tap water in foreign countries that don't recommend drinking tap water. I couldn't find this information online and customer service didn't answer me either. Also, I got the travel sleeve and I don't like it, for several reasons:1) the light grey fabric ...Ā MoreI was eying this bottle for a while, but I couldn't justify the full price. So I was really happy when the price dropped for the Black Friday. I couldn't find this information online and customer service didn't answer me either. Also, I got the travel sleeve and I don't like it, for several reasons:1) the light grey fabric gets dirty easily and it's not machine washable.2) the fabric gets fuzzed after short use and looks worn out.3) There's a button on the handle, but it doesn't open. So it's not really travel friendly, it can't be snapped on a bag handle, it's just to be carried in hand. It has a small O ring, but it's too small to be clipped on a bag handle.4) I can't see the fun color of the bottle and it's the reason I bought the smaller bottle.I just ordered the active loop and I hope it works better for my needs. I really just need a clip to secure it to my bag handle and to attach the AirTag to it, I can't loose this bottle like many others before! Please, redesign the travel case and add an AirTag holder to it .

Very happy husband (and jealous wife)
21 February 2023

Bought the limited edition eucalyptus green 17 oz bottle for my husband for Valentine’s Day, and he loves it. The color looked great online but is even better in person—less turquoise hues and more army green vibes, instead, which he absolutely loved (and so did I—I’m jealous!). We each had a bottle already, thanks to him, and this green one makes a great addition to our set.His previous one (which he still uses), was the limited edition blue, and he accidentally dropped it on concrete, denting the side. So, to help protect his new one (and my current one, which is white/gray), he also just bought us sleeves for each one, and we’re loving those, too. Love Larq, their customer service, and most importantly, their products, which have worked really well for us.
