Box was misleading, it said HDR but nothing about the fact that the monitor was only 1080p so it can't even be true HDR. The reason they use 1080p panels is because they're cheaper, and HDR is just a marketing gimmick. I could visibly see individual pixels, you're honestly better off getting a 24" 1080p monitor than this one. I returned this monitor and upgraded to a curved 32" 1440p 165hz for just $100 more because it was on sale and has the same pixel density as a 24" 1080p monitor. Now that was a good deal, and I'm very satisfied with that monitor.

Excellent monitor. Worked fine the first time. The box indicated the manual was available online. Very fine detail. My graphics are very smooth. I am able to do graphics work on the computer without my glasses - which is great!

I picked this up at a local sams club two days ago and I specifically wanted it for my Xbox series S and PS4 Pro. Games look and play great on this monitor. Colors are very vibrant, screen is bright and blacks are good and quite dark for an IPS panel. Viewing angles are decent. I feel like it’s a little expensive for it’s size and resolution, especially when you can get large 4k TVs for the same price. But, I gladly downsized to this 27” monitor from a 43” TV for the fast refresh rates and 144hz. My Xbox series s outputs 120 FPS on this monitor and it looks great. im gonna get an Xbox series X later for it and can’t wait! I bought 3 of these for my sons for Christmas, 1 monitor ea. The first one failed after just 2 years of use. Monitor had very little use, as I don't let them game during the school week. Low hours, fast failure. Super frustrating for such an expensive monitor. Makes me worry the other 2 will fail in short time as well. I bought myself a different LG at the same time. 4 total. Hoping I don't experience another premature failure.
Not a 4K monitor, it comes with a 4K HDMI CABLE! Not the monitor. If your looking for a 4K 240Hz monitor. You won’t. Only Samsung has perfected/made it and it’s $1600. But besides that a 240Hz is really good and trust you don’t even need 4K if your a gamer. Focus on frames per second that’s what gives you an advantage
This is a great display. It has only one issue and that is a warning box that shows up after starting up my MacBook. It advises me that there is a problem with the pixel count and overlays everything on my screen for a minute, maybe more. It gives me boxes to click but the display is also overlaying the mouse pointer. So I just have to stop work while this useless warning times out. Contacted customer support. No luck. I Al have a few days to return it and still considering that although I do like the display
Monitor didnt even last 18 months. Terrible. I have 10+yr old monitors still working. Same reason everyone else has, just one day it doesnt turn on. Unfortunately I have 2 other of this monitors so I guess they are on a doomsday counter too. Sams wont accept a return so I got a $250 paper weight. This will be the last LG monitor I get.
I bought this model because I've been playing my PC games on a 32inch TV for a long time. This model went on sale and I needed something that wasn't so difficult to stare at. The upside. The main selling point was the refresh rate at 144Hz. Figured if I was going to get something for gaming might as well get something that will let me access a higher framerate. I loved it once I got it set up. The color is great. You can adjust the height simply by lifting or pressing down on the monitor. There's even a clip to hold the cord for your mouse. I love the mouse clip. There is also a bracket that holds your power and video cords. There are presets for a few different game types. Like FPS, MMO. There is also a bracket that holds your power and video cords. There are presets for a few different game types. Like FPS, MMO. I don't use GSync since I don't experience issues on my setup. There was no comparison in the screen quality versus what I've used for so long. I was able to see so much more in-game. Distinctions I didn't have before. I play a long range of game types but recently a lot of FPS. It is a lot easier to ADS another player when the character model is very clear. On the downside there are no speakers. Which makes sense because a gamer is either going to use a headset or have external speakers that are going to outperform any monitor speakers. The power button also works as the menu button. You have to hold the button to power on and off, but you click it to access the menu. Its a little weird from there because that same button can move in four directions so you can navigate the menu. It's nice but a little weird to get used because there is a good bit a stuff in that menu. I will say they did a fine job with the menu itself. Its just using the button is weird. I do not like the motion blur reduction feature. I keep it off. I don't know if others have the same issue but it affects the brightness of the screen. Biggest downside is that the response time is 5ms. But, they have other models of this product that have a response time of 1ms.
This LG ultra gear 27” monitor is amazing! I’ve been looking everywhere for a gaming monitor and this is the best bang for your buck I could find. It’s “only 1080p” but at 27” the resolution is fine. I sit about 4 feet away from it anyway and it looks just fine. I have it set up with my Xbox Series S and it is able to run games at 120 fps on it. I specifically purchased this monitor for the fast refresh rates for my Xbox and it doesn’t disappoint. Colors are vibrant and vivid, it is bright , and contrast ratios are excellent. For an IPS panel, blacks are surprisingly dark and black. Very comparable to VA panels. All in all, I am very pleased with this monitor and I am enjoying my gaming experience with it. Buy it, you won’t regret it. Don’t forget to pick up some ... MoreThis LG ultra gear 27” monitor is amazing! Great stand, HDR 10, CRISP AND FLUID MOTION. Liked the screen in many ways. It just arrive with dead pixels. Not just a few, like hundreds. I bought online and was worried that I would be stuck dealing with the company to deal with warranty. I still gave it 3 stars because of how good Sam's club was about returning it. I was worried i would have to jump through hoops to get it returned like send it in and deal with that, but I didn't have to. I am considering buying it again, maybe just a bad batch or something.
