Don’t Buy Open Box!

But once I took it out of the box and started setting it up, I realized that there are parts rattling around loose inside the monitor housing, so I packaged it back up and sent it all back. A cheaper open box from another retailer arrived in like-new condition in the original packaging with all the components the next day. Definitely will not be paying for for lower quality open box from Best Buy in the future, especially considering how awful the support experience was!

Screen functionality is very easy, and I can now mount my laptop away and give a clean workspace. Set up was easy, and was fully compatible with the desk mount i purchased, I will say the monitor acts like it has some sort of sound functionally in it's software, but there are no physical speakers. Picture quality is great, with some good customization available. I did run some 4k Video and it was clear, with decent motion. The set up was simple and easy requiring no tools stand goes on and you can do up the screws with your hands as they have a small clip you can twist and the screen clips on and feels very sturdy. The screen on the stand feels stable and well designed. The frame around the screen is slim and looks very sleek giving off a very professional look which looks great in my home office. The speakers are not the best even at max volume due to positioning they are not that loud, but I never use the inbuilt speakers on screens, so this is something does not really worry me at all. I have been using the screen mainly for document use over the last week I have been doing reports for work and I find the screen very well suited for this I have also watched videos and streams again finding the images sharp thanks to the IPS screen. The ways you can connect to the screen are great with three different connectors HDMI, USB C and display port, I stick to the simple HDMI port which gave me no problems at all. The screen being 23.8inch is a great size for a office use or even someone who is working from home and needs a screen what can do it all. Another great product LG!

LG Monitor

This LG Monitor is by far the most beautiful display I have ever own. The monitor came nicely packaged and protected. Set up for the monitor was super easy. The stand came in two parts one that screws on and the other just clips onto the back. Took me 3 minutes to put together, no tools were needed. Once I turned it on I adjusted the settings to my personal preferences. My work space is in a bright open space. I also have windows with alot of sun light coming through. The best part about this display is that it's so bright , that the sun light does not cause glare. I'm still able to enjoy the full brightness and go through all my work notes without a problem. This monitor has made my work day so productive. Setting up my work tablet and laptop was a breeze. With two hdmi ports I am able to run both. I'm able to multi task and have numerous work applications up. With room to spare. The ultra wide screen is God send. With almost no bezel , this 34 inch screen looks like a small movie screen. When off it hasa nice matte black finish. When running my tablet on this LG display. I was able to run chrome, Disney plus and YouTube all on the same screen. On my downtime I stream movies and they look amazing. The Vibrant colors pop so much. I also tested out Xbox game pass for some light gaming. I ran gears of War, which is fast pace game. The monitor did not disappoint and was able to keep up with the game.At the end of day this monitor lived up to its expectations and I would highly recommend it. Whether it's for work, streaming , gaming and multi tasking , this LG Monitor is a jack of all trades. This monitor was provided at a discounted price for my honest review.

Multitasking powerhouse

I was looking for an ultrawide monitor as I usually have multiple programs and tabs open. The LG 34WP50S-W is perfect for that! I really like the white/silver. The IPS screen is beautiful, you can look at it from multiple angles and it doesn't look washed out. Backlight bleed is not as noticeable as other monitors I've tried. Multitasking is a breeze with this monitor. There is plenty of screen space to have multiple programs open. Gaming is also great with all the expanded screen, although I wouldn't recommend it for competitive gaming as it is only 60hz refresh rate. Overall, this is a fantastic monitor for the price. I would say this is an entry level monitor as the quality of the material isn't top of the line, but I'd say it's on par with the price. My LG UltraWide 34WP50S-W Monitor arrived with no damage to the box. I purchased this to replace my smaller curved screen. Setup is easy as the mounts snaps easily into the back of the monitor. The display delivers beautiful 2560 x 1080 resolution. 21:9 aspect ratio allows wide viewing angles. The color is excellent. The anti glare screen is easy on my eyes. I did feel it was a lot better after adjusting and turning down the brightness. It has a great refresh rate. It has two HDMI inputs. It also has split screen capabilities. Primarily due to the help of LG's OnScreen Control software that is included. Now Windows 10/11 also has some of the capabilities built in and in other Microsoft software, but it doesn't do it quiet as gracefully as LG's software, also LG's software will only apply to its own screen, which is exactly what I want, as I still use other monitors as well.I do generally find text to be a bit crisper on this screen than my other primary monitor, and colors are certainly richer. The only oddity I experience is that sometimes it almost seems convex, because it is sitting next to a curved monitor. Part of me wishes there was a bit of a curve to this monitor.Overall adding this monitor has been huge, I've essentially "retired" the laptop screen to almost never being used, and now just use 2 monitors, with this LG being the main screen.

So I had originally planned on using this monitor to replace my dual monitor setup but changed my mind after realizing it's a flat panel and not a curved display. The color calibration from the factory though was way off, which is another reason for the removal of a star. All in all, this is a nice monitor for my needs and should serve it's purpose well. If I had any improvements to this monitor, it would be to make it curved, add internal speakers and upgrade it to 4k resolution. However, for the current price point, it serves its purpose well.

Very Nice looking

While I'm disappointed the monitor is flat and not curved, I do like the looks of it. The white back, with silver stand and black frame looked a lot better than I thought it would look. From the factory, the color calibration was way off and I had to use my color calibration tool to get the colors to look somewhat right, but I've gotten used to doing that with low to mid-range monitors. Ultrawide monitors have always been a favorite of mine for doing work that can take advantage of the wide screen. Although I'll never use it on this monitor, it's nice to see that it comes with AMD freesync technology built in. For the price paid, it's a decent monitor. The color reproduction could use a lot of work, or at least color calibrated from the factory would've been nice. I don't see myself using this for projects that require more precise color reproductions, like video post-processing work. It will just be used for writing code where precise color isn't a necessity.
