This mac mascara is awesome!! One of my all time favorite mascaras is the maybelline lash stiletto mascara and the biggest reason I love that mascara is because of the wand. This is the first mascara, aside from the maybelline one, that I've seen have this amazing skinny, short to long bristle wand. The formula is amazing and it actually makes your lashes look extended! And the richness of the extreme black color gives you those gorgeous dramatic lashes that we all know and love! I love the packaging and I love how the lid clicks closed so you know it's closed!! Overall a gorgeous mascara!

Best mascara for clump free volume and curl

One if the best waterproof free long lasting mascara that keep lashes voluminous all day without the heavy feeling because with this mascara I didn't need to apply the mascara more that once . Usually to ge the thick mega lashes I love with mascara I will give over each eye 3 times using more product that results in that heavy clumpy looking lashes then only to using lash comb to seperate the lashes.The tip is the best way to use this mascara:1. is not take the brush out with the product on the brush wipe of any excess as that is the bit that creates the clumsiness and blotches under the lashes . You only need the product on the brush not on the wand stick itself and definitely not have that extra blob on the tip.2. My personal tip the way I achieve my results is use eye lash curler to prepare my lashes before putting mascara on.4. I did follow the tip exactly, ensure the product covered all the bristles on the brush then started from the roots on my one first and worked from the roots, shimming the brush upwards right through on the lashes to the tip . I started from the lashes that is not by the corner of my eyes but few away from it. Then using the same product on the product working through all the lashes from the roots following the contour of my lashes. Once that is done ,the product will do its work to start circling and giving the volume. Nwhile that is doing then work and ofcourse drying I then use the top part of the brush britles of do the same start from the roots on the corner of the lashes and ends and brush upwards right through the end. The product dries quickly. I found for myself applying mascara this way my lashes are opening my eyes so always remember to the little hairs in the corners and ends of eye lashes that many forget to do. I definitely found this product ingredients with the brushing technique will give you the results you want.If I found I wanted more dramatic lashes I would go over it again but I stuck with testing the mascara to give you honest review of how it worked for me.I don't have natural thick lashes and my lashes are straight as they come. So to have this mascara say what does give the curly lift and volume.I liked this product because it wasn't waterproof as often waterproof ones give the long lasting hold which is always brilliant. And it was nice to use mac new magic line meant it was so easy to remove .Bonus- lashes fit me didn't feel have,breathable, no clumpy looking and no mascara mess around the eyes , using smaller wand is always good .The price is actually worthy of the products results .the ingredients didn't irritate my sensitive eyes and my eyes are very sensitive.Overall I am happy with this mascaras results on my lashes. The compact size was handy for me and to have my lashes being looked after with ingredients at same time.

I really wanted to love this product but just can't

I was super excited to try this mascara when i found it as i LOVE all MAC make up. I've been using this brand for a long time as a performer, this brand was always no.1 for me. My face never breaks out wearing makeup all day long , sweating in it, only need small touch ups from one performance to the next. Have been using IN EXTREME DIMENSION 3D BLACK LASH (non waterproof) and i love that mascara, but the last time they were out in the store. So I picked this magic extension 5mm fiber mascara and was excited to try. It did the 'magic' but became flaky pretty fast as well as i just CAN'T wear it every day because it seams like it's impossible to remove. Just as good as luxury mascaras

I received this mascara with a gift box my husband got at work. First time I ever tried MAC cosmetics & I have to say I'm very impressed. I usually use CHANEL or Dior mascara for $6 more & this mascara is just as good, so good I'm seriously considering buying it from now on. It comes in a gorgeous looking tube & lasts for many uses without clumping like so many mascaras do. It only takes one application to make your lashes stand out, but if you want lashes that look like extensions try two or even three coats, the results are amazing & without the lashes sticking together. I apply it first wiggling the wand back & forth from the bottom of the lashes to the top to fill them, then up from the lash line for length. Lengthening but transfers

I was excited to try this because I love MAC. The first few times I used it, it didn't seem to do much. I'm not sure if it had to be used before it looked decent but after those first few uses, it looked better. Although the applicator held so much of the product, you HAVE to clean some of it off onto the top of the tube. After I did that (and curled eyelashes), I started from the roots of my lashes, wiggling back and forth while bringing the brush up to the ends of my lashes. I usually do 2 coats WITHOUT double dipping for the second coat. Did this with this MAC, worked well. My lashes looked long. A little more volumizing. It is buildable. It wasn't clumpy either. This is quite bad of a mascara.

My eyelashes did look quite nice for the first two hours of wear, but that only makes the cons more disappointing. Even with first use, the product was super thick and dry- being a volumizing fibre mascara I expected it to be less wet and on the thicker side, but this was to the extreme.Second, by the third hour of wear my undereyes were blackened, as the mascara (not just loose fibres either!) had clumped and flaked off.Finally, it smells like a gas station. I will say the smell went away within 15 minutes, but I have never been so aware of the smell of my eyelashes. I quite like other products by Mac Cosmetics, but this is the worst mascara I have tried.
