MARTIN [USED] 00-15M '18 Martin Martin

Received this guitar brand new and it is amazing. It plays easily, sounds beautiful, and even smells great! The neck was set perfectly, but the action on the bridge came a little high, which isn't a big deal since I can take it to get a setup at any time, but that causes some added difficulty when playing the higher frets. I used it for a wedding and the time perfectly complimented my voice with no effects other than microphones and a PA

Sound:The Martin 0015M arrived, ready to play and totally intact. I touched up the tuning and hit a few chords and everything felt right and natural. I played 'til my hands were sore and it was everything I expected from a small mahogany steel-string guitar. It is exactly what I expected and wanted. There are a couple of things I'll have to adjust to -- The "satin" finish is rougher than I'd like and it makes a raspy sound when you move your hands over it. The other thing is the Martin strings sound a little tinny compared to the D'Addario strings I've always used. But that's probably just me and I intend to restring the 0015M in a day or so. Right now I'm too busy enjoying it to change the stringsFeatures:Best: the sound is exactly what I wanted and expected. ... MoreSound:The Martin 0015M arrived, ready to play and totally intact. Compares very favorably to my old 000-18, but has the more mellow sound of mahogany.Quality:The guitar is well-built, beautifully crafted -- hey, it's a Martin. The reduced overall score I gave it is related solely to the raspy, crappy-feeling satin finish.Value:Yes. It was a little pricey but it came on time, in perfect shape and it sounds great, it's easy to play and I love it.Manufacturer Support:No, I only dealt with zZounds people, who answered my questions and were a great help to me.The Wow Factor:I own it.Overall:I expect to keep it . If I lost it I would take a closer look at the Guild M-20 (because of its gloss finish).

I have a 2020 0015m. I just love it. The mahogany is warm and mellow. The sound is full & rich. Sometimes I reach for this guitar more than my 00028. ! I highly recommend it. It was not because of the modest price point of this guitar, it was more of wanting the result of a solid all mahogany guitar. By default, you are also getting the renowned Martin craftsmanship- construction of a guitar is key. You can depend on this. It’s also a great tool, that will do its job. On the first day you play your new 0015m, it’s the worst it will ever sound—-over time, it just opens up and gets better with age

I absolutely love it! Ive been wanting for years and its more than I expected. A guitar Ill truly cherish and play all the time and hand down to my kids. Thank you. Sincerely Mark Acetelli
Bought for studio work. Smokes! Guitar's natural eq is a perfect hi/lo cut for a mix with a nice mid presence. Very balanced with everything you need and nothing you don't. Wanted for more finger-style tracking. Have several other usual-suspect woods/brands/models but missing something in this 'space'/role. Was a perfect fit!.
I usually play poppunk, folk, and blues and this guitar works incredible for them. This and my taylor 414ceR have the perfect sound for those.
It sounds great with a fantastic tone and sustain. Just a fantastic size alternative to always playing a dreadnought. So comfortable. I haven't stopped playing since I bought it. Every one needs one of these!
Excellent guitar. Exactly what I was looking for. This all hog inspires me to write and play! Its mellow and woody sound makes you not want to put this guitar down. Sounds beautiful and precise for finger style, but I personally love its sound when it's light-strummed. Very good accompanying my voice.
I recently bought a Martin 00-15M intending for it to be a "pack" guitar to take on trips and generally be the outdoor/traveler.The guitar is extremely well fit and finished, there was a little unevenness in the back of the neck finish, but a half hour with some extremely fine steel wool made it as smooth as glass.I've been playing at the expense of my other acoustic guitars ever since I got it. If you're looking for a top shelf guitar on a low budget, this is a good way to go.
Overall:This guitar is great! Keep in mind even though it seems set up out of the box; I still had a professional set up done and it made it even better. I also had a Fishman Matrix pickup installed and I can tell you this pickup through a Roland amp makes this guitar an awesome live instrument! A lot of folks think a quiet guitar will not play well live. It has to do with the pickup and amp. This guitar sounds incredible amplified. You will see what I mean when you perform with it. It doesn't have all that jangly tinny boomy extra noise that spruce top high dollar guitars have. The HOG wood keeps the sound tight and less boxy than other guitars. The size helps as well to manage the tone and noise when performing through an amp live. The Martin 000RS1 is good; but ... MoreOverall:This guitar is great! The good thing about the Martin 000 and 00 models is they sound less boxy live for whatever reason. I played a D28 for years and always had to tweak the PA settings before every show and was never happy with the mix. Not saying that the D28 is a bad instrument at all! These Martin 000 and 00 HOGS are plug in a play and just fit me better. No heavy bass or jangly over tones. I have tried the LR Baggs VTC in these Martin HOGS and prefer the Fishman Infinity Matrix tone. I don't know why. The Fishman just sounds better. Now in a good spruce top Breedlove I would go with LR Baggs.
