Maui Moisture Heal & Hydrate + Shea Butter Conditioner 385 ml

I don’t usually write reviews but this time I had to. This product is NOT worth the money. I have very thick straight hair thought this product will give me good moisture like the bottle said. NO. It made my hair dryer and staticky. The conditioner texture is so thick that stuck really good inside the container and don’t wanna come out!! The square shape bottle makes it harder to squeeze out. I tried to store upside down or add water to thin it out but non of my effort worked. Terrible experience. Epic fail. Sorry to leave a bad review but needs a big improvement.

I have thick wavy semi- frizzy dry natural red hair. I currently am keeping it at shoulder length to make it easier to maintain. I typically wash it once a week because my hair doesn’t get oily fast. I do look for hydrating products or add oils to my hair to give it a boost. I did struggle getting the conditioner out of the bottle, I had to slam it on my hand several times. Almost giving up to best honest. Finally some product came out. It was very thick and a little went a long way. The scent was very nice and pleasant. It washed out easily. It left my hair frizz free and feeling moisturized, but I also noticed it left what felt similar to a gel-like film on my hair. I’m going to start with the only positive thing I found with this product. It smells great. That’s it. After using the shampoo my hair felt nasty. Very dry. So I thought maybe the conditioner will fix that. Nope! But before I get into that, I had such trouble getting some out of the brand new bottle. It was too thick or concentrated. I had to call my husband to squeeze the bottle with both hands to get some out to try. I was very disappointed when I finally put in on my hair. It made my hair look and feel dry. I’m not sure if anyone else had a similar experience squeezing some out or if it was just my batch or bottle. For reference I have fine hair, shoulder length, a lot of it.

HAIR LOSS!!

After i started using this product i started losing so much more hair than usual. I’m talking like 4x the amount i usually lost before. And any time i brush my hands through my hair i lost a few strands. If i wore a black shirt there would be so many hair strands on it at the end of the day! I never had this issue ever until i used this. My hair is wavy and is not sensitive. Beware! Also, if that’s not bad enough it doesn’t lather. I’ve noticed dandruff that i’ve never had an issue with before. AND!! it’s dried my ends out yet my roots are greasy the next day (i haven’t had this issue previously and i have had the same wash shedule with the other brands i’ve tried before.) yet it’s supposed to moisturizer and “repair.” And just some background info, i haven’t used ... MoreAfter i started using this product i started losing so much more hair than usual. Meh. Frustrating bottle design. Not much slip. But good scent.

The conditioner was very.. fine. For reference, I have thin, straight, and fine hair. The ends are dry and damaged from residual hair dye, but my actual hair issue is that it tends to be oily/greasiness at the roots. Otherwise, my hair is pretty healthy and normally quite smooth. Pros: The smell is AMAZING. It smells very much like actual tropical fruit and coconut (not a synthetic or sickly sweet fake scent). The scent doesn't really linger (seems to wash off... With the rest of the product..). The ingredients also seem to be legit and good. I'm sure it also did moisturize my hair to an extent. Cons: No slip and no detangling assistance. I use an additional detangler (the John Freida anti-frizz leave-in serum in the purple bottle) for that. It's not actually THAT moisturizing (but it didn't dry my hair either, so that's good). I'm sure it did some moisturizing, but just not a whole lot. The bottle design is awful. I saw people's reviews include this comment about the bottle, and I thought, "why are people so concerned about the bottle?". But as soon as I first tried to squeeze out the conditioner, I understood. There isn't enough pressure to squeeze out the contents, and the bottle's material is a hard sort of shell-like plastic that isn't soft or flexible enough to squeeze, the neck of the bottle is too long and conditioner gets stick in there. TLDR I only keep the bottle upside down to get the stuff out. Basically I'm not sure it lives up to its claim of being very moisturizing for dry and damaged hair. But it smelled nice.

NEVER HAD A CONDITIONER THIS GOOD!

Not for people with carpal tunnel or arthritis

The ONLY two things I love about this conditioner are the scent and softness of how my hair becomes after. That’s why I only gave it 2 stars. If you have carpal tunnel or arthritis, skip this product and go for something else. This bottle was horribly invented for this amazing conditioner. It’s EXTREMELY hard to squeeze the conditioner out and you can’t even take the cover off to make it easier. Also, you have to hold the bottle then swing it hard in order for the conditioner to get off the bottom to the top, then squeeze it real hard. To me, it’s not worth it. It only makes my carpal tunnel worse.

did great, loved it

hair loss

I bought this because I've always used tresemme or aussie and I've always been told that those products are bad for your hair. I assumed that a small bottle of conditioner for $7 would be a good product, especially with all the good oils in it. WRONG. it feels nice when you put it in your hair but after your hair dries, your hair just falls out. I don't know if its breakage or just falling out but either way, I have NEVER lost so much hair in a single brushing from just a single use of a product. My hair isnt even tangled, its just falling out after using this product. I also have this nasty sticky residue in my hair after using this product. It feels like someone took a bottle of glue to my hair.
