MSI B450M PRO-VDH Max AMD M-ATX Motherboard

Easy to install my Ryzen 5 3600, which worked right out of the box! The only significant issues I'd have with this board honestly are the same as I'd likely have with any mATX, that being it's a tad cramped, and with fewer PCIE slots that may be ideal, though for my starter build, I was fine.I was concerned about placement of the sole M.2 NVMe SSD slot relative to where the graphics card would sit, however this proved not to be an issue, even with my particularly chunky Patriot's heatsink. Two 4-pin fan headers (+ the one for the CPU cooler) is something this board includes that others in the same price range do not always have.Overall, I rate it. Whether it's perfect for everyone I don't know, but I can tell you if you're planning to purchase this one for use with a Ryzen 3000 (or soon, 4000) series CPU or older, you'll be just fine. It even comes with an MSI sticker. Ain't that neat?

Really pleased. First pc build. Added this with Ryzen 3400g and it works really well. Lots of options to future upgrade and really easy to set up after the build was complete. Very happy (and relieved it actually worked!)

For the price the motherboard is great it as specially because it offers out of the box Ryzen 3000 compatibility.I havent had any problems the CPU has more than enough power deliveryOverall the Motherboard is great and I would recommend it for the price.

Decent board but misleading marketing!

The board is a horrible brown color. It looks awful and I cannot stress how badly i want to replace it. The marketing makes the PCB look more black than it actually is. Cannot recommend. There are boards that look better at a lower budget.

Does Not Work Well With 3rd Gen Ryzen

I've had both this motherboard and the Mortar Max. I've also replaced the power supply and graphics card. No matter what I get system stability issues, horrendous coil whine and more. The only thing I can think of being the problem is the combination of MSI B450 motherboard and Ryzen 3600. I would spend the little bit extra and get a B550 motherboard, or just go Intel. PC Case Gear also said the graphics card had no whine when I sent it in.

Does the job

Pretty happy with this board. Only downsides I can identify so far are that it only has two sys fan headers, so if you want more fans intelligently controlled you need to use PWM splitter cables. It has some pretty defunct connection points but its no major drama. The board itself is dark brown in colour. I like the BIOS and the EZ debug LED to help fault find.Space below a graphics card in the next PCIE slot is limited, so don't try add a wifi card with a big heatsink or anything thick like that. It would be worth getting a board with more space if you want to use much extra PCIE.

Excellent quality level

In General, very pleased with the Board, a great option for R5 or Reisen g series with built-in graphics VEGA, ideal for completing office sistemnikov with VEGA, in the presence of all the necessary ports for the monitor. For Ryzen 7 and its overclocking, I would look for something more powerful.

Good basic motherboard

Well packaged, good online instructions. Slightly lacking in fan Hardee’s and isn’t the most attractive board, but you can’t complain at the price.

Great budget board

A really decent budget board. OK, so it's not got a bajillion RGB headers, only one m.2 socket, and all of the PCIe ports are blocked by anything bigger than a dual-slot graphics card......but on the other hand, the overclocking options are really good (I had some very respectable Cinebench scores out of a Ryzen 3600!), it has plenty of USB ports with plenty of extra connectors if you need to add more, and above all it's a bargain.If you're on a budget and don't mind limiting yourself to a dual-slot GPU it's perfect!

Seems as quoted by many, to be a e good value board.

I have only just (Tuesday 12/10/21) obtained and fitted a Ryzen 3 3300X processor and am using an old XFX AMD Radeon R9 280X (3072 MB) graphics card, with only 4gb ram. So, not the highest speck, I've got a long way to go before I can give any defanitives. It seems quite quick in normal operation. I, again have only fitted a standard sata ssd drive, with Windows 11 installation, having yet to purchase an nvme. One small thing I'm not to impressed with is the minimal pinned fan connections, but as to the rest, I'll see how it goes.
