I needed a stronger signal for my Arlo cameras. I installed this in the garage and it seemed to work at the 1st day. The following days, my cameras kept disconnecting. At 1st, I blamed my internet since it did give out 2 signal bars, low signal but it was still a signal. Then I called Arlos customer support. Walked me through some troubleshooting and when they asked me to check the upload speed.... it was almost non exist. It was like 1.7 something when it should be a minimum of 10 something. Im giving it a 2 star review since it did extend the signal but was useless for my intended purpose. Might be okay inside the actual house so just double check before you toss out the box (like I did).

This is an inexpensive, effective WiFi extender. Whatever your signal strength, this extender connects to your existing WiFi router signal and extends the signal, resulting in half the signal strength available for use at the distant end. This is not a WiFi booster. If your signal strength is weak, this may not be the product you want to purchase to resolve remote connection issues. You may want a mesh system to replace your existing WiFi router. Regarding installation, this extender is very easy to install and use. Highly recommended.

It was challenging to establish the best place to put this, but we figured it out and received some benefits. But, at same time we determined our primary router was not up to rigors of current WiFi traffic, so we upgraded with our ISP. We also acquired a good used router from family member and reinstalled it as our second router that's subordinate to the primary. As for the extender, we integrated it with these other two upgrades and placed it beside a dated high-end plasma TV in our living room that's used to live stream Netflix, Hulu, etc. Being that we now have 5g service this improved viewing movies and series tremendously. We have a large floor plan home, 4 br, my current router no matter where placed, would not provide a proper connection everywhere it was needed. Hit upon this compact yet power house of an extender, the Netgear AC750, Plug in, Dual Band WiFi Extender! I am not an electronics geek and I wanted something easy to set up, that would extend my WiFi signal and small so that it blended in rather than an eye sore. The AC750 fit the bill and as soon as it arrived, I set it up, talk about easy! The steps to connect are easy to understand, relate directly to each step to take to ensure proper set up and it worked!I am amazed at how easy it was to connect to my cable companies router WiFi and it extended my signal throughout every room that needed that boost. I've had many issues with my extender since I bought it. And after calling technical support 5 times and doing everything they said, I still remain confused and frustrated. It really doesn't connect most of the time and I'll factory reset it again, go through Netgear Genie and do all of that and it'll work for a few minutes then it'll disconnect again. This has been an ongoing issue and it makes it so hard to even get on the extender WiFi . I updated it to latest firmware and my extender is in good range of the router. All lights are green, Netgear Genie says its all good. So then why can't I connect to it a few hours later? I have to keep resetting it and I'm not sure why. The instructions included were flat wrong on how to connect to start setup - the URL (web address) given didn't work, but thanks to my technical ability I just looked up the IP of the device when I told my laptop to connect to the newly showing 'hotspot', so I could just use that to connect and load the setup page. Once past that hitch, everything else worked as desired.
