I mix the freeze dried morsels with the stew and warm bone broth. Babalu comes running as soon as the broth hits the other two products. I purchased the Harvest Chicken Stew Wet Dog Food to mix in with my 10 year old Old English Bulldog’s food. He usually eats kibble from Costco, but recently has been tired of his food and didn’t want to eat it. We tried switching his kibble which he still was unhappy with. As soon as I mixed in this wet food with his kibble he basically scarfed it down within minutes. He no longer stands next to his bowl staring at me detesting his food. Sometimes it would take him about 20 minutes to even start eating. Now that we started mixing this in I don’t think we can ever go back to serving him plain kibble ever again. I would have given 5 stars but it does include chickpeas as well as lentils which are not a normal part of a dogs diet.

Our dog has a very sensitive GI, and is on special kibble prescribed by the vet. He doesn't love the kibble at all, so we wanted to use the Open Farm wet food to mix in with it to make it more appealing. HE LOVES IT! We first bought Open Farm for our 2 cats, and the dog always wanted to eat it. Now the cats are trying to eat the dog's food ;-)

High quality wet dog food with no potato. My dogs love it and ingredients are all from USA. A bit pricey which is why I knocked off a star, but you pay for high quality food. You actually see the veggies unlike some canned food where it looks like liver spread nd stuck to the can.
The food is great, healthy and the dogs love it. I have an old dog, and a dog with digestive problems, so the stews work great in conjunction with the dry food. My issue is with the packaging. I struggle to open the boxes and my mom, who has arthritis in her hands, couldn't do it at all. I respect the sustainability factor, but getting the open could be made easier in some way. I'd love to see a way to purchase a variety pack, too. Also, be sure to shake them up first or the heavy stuff settles to the bottom.
One of our dogs loves this food, and the other less so. In the food’s defense, Pickle is notoriously picky (which is funny, because she loved to eat feces…go figure). We’ve had to switch to cooking her topper, which we were hoping to not have to do, any longer. We do love the ethically sourced meats of Open Farm, and hope to be able to continue to feed Pickle and Olive this food. Thanks for doing what you do!
Excellent food, quality looks fresh, my dog loves it. He is 12 yr old Male on high fiber diet, so his **** glands get the proper comfortable discharge. He is still adjusting to all veggies in his chicken, but pretty sure it is making him healthy. He does not have kidney issues, but his one test has been a bit abnormal, within a month of starting this new diet, his kidney values are better than before. So I am happy too. Delivery is roght at door step, i order automated scheded delivery, so no hassel of forgetting to order last minute etc... Thanks Open Farm for this valuable service, especially during COVID lockdowns too.
We recently adopted a 2 1/2 year old corgi who had been fed a generic brand for most of her life. She was overweight, so we decided to make the switch to a better quality food and found Open Farm. We started out with just the chicken topper and the broth, and she has taken to it really well! We will definitely be making a full transition to all Open Farm products from here on out.
I needed to enforce smaller meals throughout the day with Ronan (4 y/o) and my go-to was Open Farm, since he's been a fan of the dry food since he was a puppy. I was hoping using the wet food as a meal topper would help with my plan but it one-upped me! Just opening a box activates his appetite, which I've been struggling with for so long. Yogi Bear & Gracie the Diva love their Keto diet. Yogi has epilepsy & his neurologist recommended a Keto diet. Gracie is also on the same diet. This eliminates any jealously over the food bowls. Sometimes, Yogi will eat from Gracie's bowl & Gracie will eat from Yogi's bowl. At other times, Yogi will eat his bowl of food & then chow down on Gracie's bowl too. And, Gracie will eat her bowl & then eat Yogi's as well. No more begging, whimpering, whining or barking for more food!
