I bought this bag for a 19 day trip to Italy. It worked perfectly. The back pack straps were useful when I had to carry it up and down stairs moving between train platforms and up stairs at hotels. I was a little concerned that the wire on the bottom might get broken off by the airport baggage handlers but, it survived two flights.

The "kickstand" bar on the front side of the bottom of the bag (see in photo) causes the bag to tip backward when empty. I returned it worried than when I added a work bag to the top of this I would constantly be picking it up. I compared with another bag in the store and same problem, so it wasn't just the bag I purchased.

We have 2 of these. They roll well and are very lightweight which means you stuff it with mucho items before you hit the magical 50lb airline limit. They also have internal cinch straps to keep stuff from shifting too much while using.We use them for regular travel - but for those that do cruises...bonus...they collapse flat so you can stow below the beds.

This bag doesn’t weigh much at all. Makes a difference for me when dealing with stairs. It does exactly what I bought it to do.
Purchased for 2 wk trip to Europe. Duffel worked well. Took the backpack straps out to eliminate weight and use the space. Seemed to hold up well but only one trip on it. Love that it sits on end wo falling over. I could lock 3 zippers but woyjd have been nice to lock the other one by handle. Color easy to find on conveyor belt. Wish they had a 25”.
After extensive research I thought this rolling pack would be the best for my needs. I was extremely disappointed because, while the material is sturdy, its maneuverability is terrible. The straps are extremely difficult to latch, making its use as a backpack more hassle than it’s worth. When rolling, it would twist, something I didn’t account for but due to it having only 2 in-line wheels. I’m giving it 2 stars instead of only 1 because it is lightweight and made of sturdy material. I’d like to return this pack so I hope REI will let me do so.
We bought a pair of these for our kids. These bags are lightweight, easy to handle for 9&10 year olds, and offered enough storage for two weeks of travel (packing cubes were used)
I have been looking for this exact bag for traveling on hiking trips. The size is perfect! The most exceptional feature is the ability to carry this bag with the detachable backpack straps. It was nearly impossible to find, but now that I have it, I will sing its praises! There is lots of room for all my gear. The zippers are in all the right places, and the wheels for easy rushing through the airport. I couldn't like it any more~
I’ve only had one chance to use this bag since buying it a few weeks ago, but so far so good! After packing it full of clothes and finding the zipper satisfyingly smooth and easy to deal with, I checked the bag on an international flight through multiple airports. I was a little worried that the small stabilizer that sticks out from the bottom of the bag to keep it standing might be immediately destroyed, and I’m still a little worried by how much it sticks out, so far it’s holding up well! My only minor complaint is that the outer material got extremely dirty while being checked, and there are a number of big black marks standing out on the front of the bag after its first use. Fortunately, it looks like it’s just cosmetic, so not a big deal.
