OXO Good Grips 23cm Tongs with Nylon Head

Love these oxo tongs. I like that they are metal But have the oxo grip on the handles.l, and tong ends. It keeps the handles from slipping, makes them comfortable, and keeps them from getting hot. It keeps the food from sticking to the ends. These works great and are durable and last a while!

So I do have these and personally I don’t particular care if they are oxo but I think everyone needs several pairs of silicone or nylon tongs when they are cooking. These ones do have a nylon head which most others I have tried are silicone so I am more careful with these because I feel it might be a bit rougher on my pans. But that being said they do last longer because of it. My silicone ones tend to get melted or have burn marks or lose chunks over time and these do not have those issues. Others also tend to lose some of the strength when they are in the locked position, causing them to come apart while being stored. The locked component on these is quite a bit stronger and more secure so this doesn’t really happen. These tongs are my go to cooking utensil! I love them! I use them for flipping tortillas, bacon, sausage and more. They are perfect for cooking pasta too. I love that they don’t scratch my pots and pans and can be used with heat. I use they pretty much everyday and they are still in great condition. I highly recommend these. I myself will soon be buying another pair, most likely the 12” because it would be nice for them to be a little longer.

Great quality and fit for purpose

These are great quality tongs, with non scratch coated tips. Perfect for using on non scratch cookware, these grip food well. We now have three pairs of these tongs, they are the best size for cooking and serving. They are very durable and the spring mechanism works well.

Not what I ordered

Ordered two Good Grips Stainless Steel to replace ones with nylon/silicone ends that I'd donated to the charity shop. Those that arrived has nylon ends, not stainless steel as advertised. The nylon ends are not as fine as I need, nor do they grip as well. Was offered to return them to a store or to a secure locker, both 45 minutes away. Declined both options, and was not given the option of returning then by post. I was generously offered a refund, and advised to donate or gift the items to someone else. I did so, but still do not have the grips that I need.

The tongs are very light weight and yet durable. They are easy to grip and they hold tight to whatever you are gripping with them. They close easy with the little clip and stay closed. They do not easily slip open but stay closed. I like the black and silver color. It makes them look classy.

This is a nice addition to my kitchen utensils. Very easy to open & close & use for various dishes or food. Anything from chicken,Meats, salads, BBQing, ocorn of the cobs off the grill, grabbing skewers off the grill, etc. Anything you can imagine they are great for grabbing. The nice black silicone on them are sturdy & strong. Very easy to wash & dishwasher safe as well. They are just slightly smaller in length than what I think is standard but a great size.

I have been using the OXO 9" Tongs with Nylon Heads to remove cooked food from my air fryer in addition to getting hot dogs out of hot water. These tongs are easy to grip and hold the food securely until I get it to the proper dish. They wash well in the dishwasher. I would definitely get another pair of these in the future since they work so well. My kids can even use these easily.

My old tongs had just broken so I tried the OXO Good Grips 9-Inch Locking Tongs with Nylon Heads as I had other OXO products that I really liked. These are well made so you can depend on them in the kitchen. Perfect for placing and pulling things out of my air fryer. They have a scalloped edge to make grabbing your food easy and non-slip grips with a thumb rest which is really user friendly. I lock the locking feature so it makes them easy to store in a drawer on on your countertop utensil canister. Dishwasher safe for easy clean up, this is another great product by OXO!

These OXO tongs are the absolute best tongs I have ever purchased. I use them to fry taco shells and so much more. The silicone ends are durable and the heat does not affect them at all. A bonus use, I have a new washing machine that is very deep and sometimes I need to enlist these tongs to grab some wet laundry.
