I have been wanting the potato ricer for some time. Using it was a different story. You need to have some strength for it to function good. If you are cooking for one or two people it is fine. I found it time consuming using the smallest dial. The largest dial was not to bad. The round blades stay inside and you turn the dial to the thickness you want. It was stiff to use at first. Once finished you can twist the bottom off for clean up. Again this was stiff but, washing was pretty easy. I am going to try it with carrots or cauliflower for something with a different presentation.

The product is good however your website is not. I ordered these 3 items as a shower gift. They were shipped directly to the bride without any notification who purchased them for her. Also, there was no place to put in an alternative address to ship them to me so I could wrap them & take them to the bridal shower. I had to cut out pictures & put the pictures in a card & that's when she knew who purchased these items for her. She had a printout at the shower & had to ask her guests if anyone else purchased anything from Macy's. It was truly a mess. This registry website need major work to avoid this kind of mishap for any other bride's shower.
This is probably one of the best of its kind. I have tried many and this works well. It's properly leveraged, wasy to clean and nicely balanced.
Works great! Pretty sturdy gadget so far. It has 3 different adjustable settings so you can decide how coarse you want your mashed potatoes. Highly recommend.
I've used the ricer a few times now and it works well, even with large whole potatoes. Lump-free mashed potato almost guaranteed! My only issue is with the instructions on how to use it - there effectively are none and it took a bit of time and the judicious application of strength to work out that the ring around the base needs to be rotated to adjust the size of the ricer holes.
So... this gadget changed my mash potato life. I am always the one asked to bring mashed potatoes to every holiday event due to my special recipe. This ricer made them incredibly creamy and so light that you can eat several servings. I wish I had invested in one years ago!
This potato ricer works like a charm. So easy to use and easy to clean. I had stopped using my old ricer because it was so difficult to press and the potatoes oozed out over the sides. The potatoes don?t ooze out with this ricer. I?ve only used it to rice potatoes so far, but am now inspired to use it to make homemade applesauce.
