Bought this about 3 weeks ago to replace an earlier Panasonic breadmaker we'd had for 8 years, which, in turn was to replace the previous one had for about 8 years. Thought we would upgrade to an all singing/dancing model. Have made 3 loaves and all turned out perfect....... but using previous Panasonic recipes. The accompanying book uses increased yeast, fat and salt over our previous model. Why? The baking times the same. It is on the expensive side but does all sorts. Downsides - it's noisier than previous 2 models we've had of Panasonics, why is it not available in white, its height makes it difficult to see the top part of the display window (I'm 5'6").

I purchased this bread machine to replace my previous Panasonic one which I'd had for over 10 years. This newer model is a great replacement and there are several new recipes programmes in the manual, which I look forward to making. I have made the Italian loaf, which was delicious and does not require butter or sugar, only olive oil making it a bit healthier. I make several loaves a week using the medium basic white 4 hour programme. The sugar/salt ingredients have increased in the new manual, but I stick with the old recipe using only 1tsp salt and 1tsp sugar. The loaf in the picture was made using the reduced ingredients and using 50% Waitrose Canadian white flour & 50% wholemeal flour and Alisons dried yeast. You can't beat the smell of freshly baking bread filling the house and if you use the machine regularly it is worth the initial outlay.

This was a great purchase. We had been thinking about getting a breadmaker for a long time, as the bread consumption in our household is high. Panasonic’s breadmaker SD-YR2550SXC had very good reviews and we decided to order it.It makes the most wonderful fluffy, bouncy and sticky bread you can imagine. It slices very well and stays fresh for a few days. Adding ingredients like poppy/sesame seeds or nuts is very easy and the seeds/nuts are evenly kneaded into the dough. The recipes that are included in the manual are very easy to follow and have not disappointed. I also made three cakes so far and they were all delicious with the best texture imaginable for a sponge cake.I would always buy this product again and highly recommend it.When the breadmaker was ... MoreThis was a great purchase. I contacted Panasonic’s customer service to report the damage and request a replacement device. After providing photos of the damaged device and box, a free DHL collection was arranged by the team and we received our replacement device promptly within one week - outstanding customer service that other large organisations can only dream of being able to provide. Thank you very much!!!

This is the second Panasonic bread maker that I've had. The previous machine I'd had for over ten years. Although it was still going it had become somewhat noisy when kneading. This machine is far lighter in weight than my previous machine which if anything is easier for me as I'm unable to lift anything too heavy. The numerous programmes for a variety of breads is amazing (not that my figure will agree) and instructions are really easy to follow. I've made several loaves now and they've all come out perfect. The only downside compared to my previous machine is that the display is rather difficult to see when the machine is on the worktop.
I was gifted the Panasonic SD-R2530WST Bread Maker in exchange for an honest review on Panasonic’s website.Upon first use I was pleasantly surprised with how easy to use the Panasonic bread maker is. It literally is as easy as popping all the ingredients into the machine, powering it on, selecting the type of bread, dough cake etc. you wish to bake and leaving it to do its thing. I chose to bake a basic white loaf to start with and the end result was a perfectly browned, crusty on the outside fluffy on the inside loaf, as good as bakery quality. The machine is lightweight, quick to clean and easy to move from place to place whilst still producing a nice sized loaf which can range from medium to xl, the choice is yours. It is very quiet whilst operating, the menu ... MoreI was gifted the Panasonic SD-R2530WST Bread Maker in exchange for an honest review on Panasonic’s website.Upon first use I was pleasantly surprised with how easy to use the Panasonic bread maker is. It made the process fun and exciting not tedious and stressful! (One tip I do have: mix the yeast into the wet ingredients lightly before turning on the machine as I found if I dont do this a portion of the yeast remains stuck at the bottom of the tin, this could be the recipe I am using, but just an observation from my experiences)Overall love this machine and definitely recommend it for anyone who loves freshly baked bread without the hassle.
Decided to up grade from my previous Panasonic bread maker, which was looking shabby after many years of use. This model is much more versatile with many more programs. Found it easy to use and get good results. Not sure the yeast dispenser is necessary, I have always had good results adding the yeast into the pan. I wouldn’t consider buying an alternative brand. I have successfully used recipes from my previous model. Hope to get many years of use.
We have used a Panasonic bread maker for the last 3+ years and it produced great bread. When it stopped working, we obviously went for another Panasonic maker as the model we had was discontinued. However, this choice was a disaster and the machine has been returned. Three loaves were attempted with different flours but all three were over cooked creating a very dense loaf and also they did not rise so the result was a `brick' of bread. Also, the control panel became extremely hot during the process which was quite alarming. Conclusion is that I will not be buying another bread maker from Panasonic, very disappointing.
I have owned this machine less than a month and I have had two emails asking me to review it, so here are my first thoughts. This is a very solid, well-designed machine.I am now making perfect loaves after my initial errors. Or I should say the machine makes perfect loaves. The instruction booklets are thorough, and I was pleased that it was easy to download and save them, so I have them on PC as well as the paper copy.Having no experience of bread making machines, I bought a set of 5 x 500g various pre-mixes. Strangely, the instructions on them said to use 350g of mix in my 600g machine. If the print on the packets had been large enough to read, I would have got better results straight away.I could not find the right type of yeast in the local shops so had ... MoreI have owned this machine less than a month and I have had two emails asking me to review it, so here are my first thoughts. This is a very solid, well-designed machine.I am now making perfect loaves after my initial errors. The sourdough cup included is obviously high quality, like the rest of the gear, but I find it difficult to read the measurements etched on to the surface. The readout on top of the machine is clear if viewed by the light of a torch. In summary, I am confident that this is a high-quality machine and over time I am looking forward to making some excellent and varied bread with it.
We bought this Breadmaker to replace our very frequently used rival brand machine. It has been great from the start. So quiet compared to the old one. In fact, we weren't sure it was working as it was so much quieter. It makes great bread and has heaps of programmes to make all different types of breads and doughs etc. Still so many programmes to experiment with!! The only tiny thing we would like to see is the delay start function for bread mixes, but not a big deal. Came recommended by Choice and wholly agree with the recommendation. Simple to use and makes really good bread.Hi Ho, hi Ho, off to make bread I go
The fouth and far away best breadmaker I have bought in the last 25 years. Worth it significant extra price without question after about 1.5 years of use. More than making cheaper good quality breads on a daily basis, it is the consistent performance and clearly well thought of hardware manufacture that I value, plus the Panasonic recipes that are written to make the exact product with my local ingredients. I have made at least 10 of the said breads (perhaps about 100 instances) and none has been below expectation, each time, over the period of use which is very creditable. The internal secondary thermometers also bake crusts very well. The baking basket shows no wear and wear and is easy with mixing spindles to use (handwashed myself). Improvements: 1) enable this machine to remember settings after a power cut instead of abandoning the program at time of power cut (happens even in Austria), 2) More recipes made for SD-YR2550. While one can experiment a little with the published recipes in the manual (there are maybe 30 odd) and additional online Panasonic web site ones, it is important to maintain the carefully instructed proportions while experimenting with yeast etc. Recipes from generic books are less consistent and occasional write offs but one has to experiment. Notably you may have to reverse the order of ingredients placement as SR-YR2550 has separate and very useful nut and yeast containers that activate at particular points of each program and this reversal sometimes causes less properly baked breads (issue of the individual recipe), 3) Provide fuse protection for use in Asia etc. 4) Offer different sized internal baking containers eg baguette or odd shaped breads besides traditional basket case. All in all delighted with this model's performance and ease of use and set to buy a second for another home!
