Hello my name is Alfie Dog and I have recently had some kidney problems. My Mark and Denise bought me Renal food but I didn't like it much, so instead I have been eating Gastrointestinal which is super tasty, wet and I eat every bit until my bowl is clean. I know they mix a little renal in this but I don't mind so much because I have been making great progress. My stomach is so sensitive and I don't like waking my mark and Denise up in the night to let me out or being sick either, but lately since eating gastrointestinal food I sleep better and I haven't been sick once. Wahoo! I think my coat is still soft and shiny, I'm not having any side effects or issues with my skin and overall I'm a super happy 11 year young labrador. Gimme some paw!!! Oooowwwwww ooww owwwww

My vet recommended the Royal Canin Gastro Intestinal Wet Dog Food because I have two King Charles Cavalier Spaniels with sensitive tummies. I was beside myself when I just could not do anything to help them not to mention when they went out for a potty break! I just give my two a little bit mixed with the Gastrointestinal Kibble by Royal Canin and it only has to be two tablespoons as it goes a long way does a tin. They jump up and down whilst I am mixing their food together, no more problems now when they go to the toilet at all. I wondered whether to feed them Raw food but did not like or agree with this type of feeding and to be honest I am glad I did not because I won’t be changing their food now as they are in tip top condition.

This dry food is great. Nice size bag, doesnt go off before my dog has got to the end of the bag. Doesnt upset his stomach and helps keep his teeth clean. Nice fast delivery and the food is a good price.

This was recommended for my now 14 year old westie that suffers very badly with pancreatitis. He has been on this for several years now. The ingredients are very different from Your standard shop bought dog foods. It is dry food but I soak the food as my westie doesn't have many teeth. It does keep the pancreatitis as bay . It took him a while to get used to it but he eats anything these days. Really recommend this. Worth every penny even though quite expensive but not as expensive as my vets charges for the same food.
Because he has a propensity toward colitis and appears to be gluten intolerant, on the advice of my vet I started Fred, my Basset Hound, on Royal Canin Sensitivity diet. It worked fairly well for a while but it was not the total cure so we made the step up to Gastro-Intestinal which has been successful. I actually use a mixture of dry and wet and, to make sure his colitis is kept in check, he is not fed any treats other than boiled chicken. He has a constant problem with his ears which produce copious amounts of evil looking brown wax. We have tried everything to reduce this problem and again, on my vet's advice, I'm now going another step up to try him on Royal Canin Hypoallergenic because the vet thinks his ear problem might be an allergy. This will make life easier for me because my other Basset, Ripples, who has serious colitis is already fed on Hypoallergenic, so it will save me having to buy, and store, two different diet foods. All in all I thoroughly recommend Royal Canin Gastro-Intestinal food for dogs with colitis or a similar intestinal problem. It works for Fred!
My Border Collie had issues with diarrhoea - couldn't eat bones due to the marrow, couldn't eat anything fatty. He got a tennis ball stuck in his throat & needed surgery which involved removing the ball and stitches inside his throat! Post surgery is when we were introduced to this wet food by the vet, as it was easy for him to swallow, low fat and gentle on his gut. It has been amazing for him. 2 yrs on & he still gets a couple of spoonfuls on both his brekky & tea - rest of his meal is a mix of grain-free dry foods, topped with a bit of sashas blend & coconut oil for the joints (he is 10.5 yrs old and was beginning to show signs flopping down rather than laying down gently, which indicated possible joint issues). It's a big thumbs up for RC Diet Canine ... MoreMy Border Collie had issues with diarrhoea - couldn't eat bones due to the marrow, couldn't eat anything fatty. My dog loves it. After a severe gastro episode with vet treatment which included this food, I now keep a supply to supplement his normal diet. On it's own, this food has helped him recover from a couple of severe and worrying bouts of gastro. I firmly believe it does exactly what it claims - i.e. adds some vital 'good bacterial' assistance to the digestive process. He's 15yrs old, and has become very prone to digestive/colitis type problems these days. Plain old Chappie and biscuits seems to keep him stable, but mixing 50% of this into his meals definitely keeps his digestion working properly. He loves it so it also makes his meals a bit more enjoyable.
My Labrador is a Labrador, so has a habit of eating things he shouldn’t! After a bad stomach when he’d found an old discarded McD and consumed the leftovers, we had this from the Vets to try to stabilise him. It was brilliant and have kept him on a 50/50 mix with his normal food as he has a penchant for crunching acorns and eating the odd laurel berry, which upset his stomach! Finding a bigger bag at a good price has made my life easier ❤️
My German shepherd was really poorly and was hospitalised at my vets for several days with gastroenteritis. I was recommended to buy this food so bought it from them. I looked on this website and paid the same price for double the size bag! I only feed him this food now as he has to have less than 8% fat food. So far I've had no problems with his stomach while feeding him this product
My dog has colitis and she's a very fussy eater. She was in a bad way until I started her on this special diet. She has the biscuits too but without the meat to mix in I think she would eventually just refuse to eat it. The combination of the meat with the biscuits keeps her interested and if she starts refusing it, I just need to feed one of them for a few days and then she's happy to start eating it again once the has both as if she's had a change in food- very fussy eater. I was worried she wouldn't last the year until the vet recommend this, everything else she ate that was animal derived made her very poorly and she was skeletal and had no energy.
